Who was Jesus–really?
For centuries, the Christian church has taught that Jesus is the divine Son of God, crucified for sinners and raised from the dead. In recent years, however, that picture of Jesus has come under widely publicized attack from sources ranging from critical scholars to Internet pundits to popular historians and others.
The new portraits of Jesus seem persuasive. You can’t help but wonder . . .
- Did Christianity merely copy its beliefs from earlier mythology?
- Did the church suppress alternate gospels?
- Did Jesus never die on the cross or rise from the dead for sinners?
- Is the New Testament hopelessly riddled with errors?
New York Times bestselling author Lee Strobel helps you separate truth from media hype, sound scholarship from bias, and fact from speculation. Digging below the surface, this book provides credible, informed answers to today’s most pressing questions about Jesus.

Discover the astonishing evidence for intelligent design in this New York Times bestselling book by award-winning journalist Lee Strobel.
“My road to atheism was paved by science . . . but, ironically, so was my later journey to God,” Strobel says.
During his academic years, Lee Strobel became convinced that God was obsolete, a belief that colored his journalism career. Science had made the idea of a Creator irrelevant–or so Strobel thought.
But today science points in a different direction. A diverse and impressive body of research has increasingly supported the conclusion that the universe was intelligently designed. At the same time, Darwinism has faltered in the face of concrete facts and hard reason. Has science discovered God? At the very least, it’s giving faith an immense boost, as new findings emerge about the incredible complexity of our universe.
Join Strobel as he reexamines the theories that once led him away from God. Through his compelling and highly readable account, you’ll encounter the mind-stretching discoveries from cosmology, cellular biology, DNA research, astronomy, physics, and human consciousness that present compelling evidence in The Case for a Creator.
Also available: The Case for a Creator small group video study and study guide, Spanish edition, kids’ edition, student edition, and more.

In The Case for Christmas, Lee Strobel investigates the story of Jesus’ birth and reveals how we can know it is true. He examines the Bible’s claim that Jesus was born of a virgin, some of the “puzzles” we find in the Gospel that don’t seem to match up with the historical record, and the great mystery of the incarnation–how Jesus could be both fully God and fully human. Lee shows how the evidence points to the inescapable conclusion that Jesus was who he said he was: the divine Son of God.
In The Case for Easter, Lee Strobel looks at the story of Jesus’ resurrection and reveals how we can know that it actually took place. He explores the “discrepancies” critics have pointed to in the Gospel accounts, looks at the evidence that Jesus’ tomb was truly empty, and shows how the eyewitness accounts of those who saw Jesus alive after the crucifixion are credible. Lee reveals how all the facts point to the conclusion that led him from atheism to Christianity: Jesus was the Son of God who conquered the grave.

Did Jesus of Nazareth really rise from the dead?
Of the many world religions, only one claims that its founder returned from the grave. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the very cornerstone of Christianity.
But a dead man coming back to life? In our sophisticated age, when myth has given way to science, who can take such a claim seriously? Some argue that Jesus never died on the cross. Conflicting accounts make the empty tomb seem suspect.
How credible is the evidence for–and against–the resurrection? Focusing his award-winning skills as a legal journalist on history’s most compelling enigma, Lee Strobel retraces the startling findings that led him from atheism to belief. He examines:
- The Medical Evidence: Was Jesus’s death a sham and his resurrection a hoax?
- The Evidence of the Missing Body: Was Jesus’s body really absent from his tomb?
- The Evidence of Appearances: Was Jesus seen alive after his death on the cross?
Written in a hard-hitting, journalistic style, The Case for Easter probes the core issues of the resurrection. Jesus Christ, risen from the dead: superstitious myth or life-changing reality? The evidence is in. The verdict is up to you.

Read by the author.
Bestselling and award-winning author Lee Strobel interviews experts about the evidence for the afterlife and offers credible answers to the most provocative questions about what happens when we die, near-death experiences, heaven, and hell.
We all want to know what awaits us on the other side of death, but is there any reliable evidence that there is life after death? Investigative author Lee Strobel offers a lively and compelling study into one of the most provocative topics of our day.
Through fascinating conversations with respected scholars and experts–a neuroscientist from Cambridge University, a researcher who analyzed¬†a thousand accounts of near-death experiences, and an atheist-turned-Christian-philosopher–Strobel offers compelling reasons for why death is not the end of our existence but a transition to an exciting world to come. Looking at biblical accounts, Strobel unfolds what awaits us after we take our last breath and answers questions like:
- Is there an afterlife?
- What is heaven like?
- How will we spend our time there?
- And what does it mean to see God face to face?
With a balanced approach, Strobel examines the alternative of Hell and the logic of damnation, and gives a careful look at reincarnation, universalism, the exclusivity claims of Christ, and other issues related to the topic of life after death. With vulnerability, Strobel shares the experience of how he nearly died years ago and how the reality of death can shape our lives and faith.
Follow Strobel on this journey of discovery of the entirely credible, believable, and exhilarating life to come.

The Bible Study Source series provides a unique audio learning experience. Unlike a traditional audiobook’s direct narration of a book’s text, The Case for Heaven (and Hell) includes high-quality, live audio sessions from the author that cover this important Bible-based topic. These sessions will reflect the ambiance of the unique recording locations, immersing the listener into the teaching.
Is there convincing evidence for eternal life after death? If so, what will our experience be like? What will it be like to see God face to face?
In this five-session small-group study, Lee Strobel–journalist and award-winning author of The Case for Christ–turns his talent for investigation on the biblical and logical case for an afterlife.
The reality of death shapes our lives and faith. Most of us fear it or try not to think about it, regardless of whether we believe in eternal life or not. Lee–whose rigorous faith has been shaped by his past as an atheist–first considers his old unbelief: that we have only one life and when we die, we cease to exist. What evidence is there to suggest otherwise?
Based on his interviews with leading Christian philosophers, scientists, and theologians; Strobel unfolds the strongest arguments for belief in heaven, hell, and a glimpse into what these places will be like.
Along the way, he explores common topics related to immortality; such as angels, Satan and demons, the reincarnation of the body, and doctrines like salvation through Christ alone.
Journey with Lee Strobel in this exploration of heaven, and be drawn into a deeper understanding of the rationality and final hope of Christian beliefs.

New York Times¬†bestselling author Lee Strobel trains his investigative sights on the hot-button question: is it really credible to believe God intervenes supernaturally in people’s lives today?
This provocative book starts with an unlikely interview in which America’s foremost skeptic builds a seemingly persuasive case¬†against¬†the miraculous. But then Strobel travels the country to quiz scholars to see whether they can offer solid answers to atheist objections. Along the way, he encounters astounding accounts of healings and other phenomena that simply cannot be explained away by naturalistic causes. The book features the results of exclusive new scientific polling that shows miracle accounts are much more common than people think.
What’s more, Strobel delves into the most controversial question of all: what about miracles that¬†don’t¬†happen? If God¬†can¬†intervene in the world, why doesn’t he do it more often to relieve suffering? Many American Christians are embarrassed by the supernatural, not wanting to look odd or extreme to their neighbors. Yet,¬†The Case for Miracles¬†shows not only that the miraculous is possible, but that God still does intervene in our world in awe-inspiring ways. Here‚Äôs a unique book that examines all sides of this issue and comes away with a passionate defense for God’s divine action in lives today.
