A Quick Bite audiobook

This book was very silly and ridiculous, but lots of fun and exactly what I was in the mood for!

4⭐️2🌶A quick bite is the first installment in the vampire novel series by lynsay sands.Lissi is a vampire who has a phobia of blood. She faints every time she sees blood. Very useful for a vampire. Because of this she drinks the old-fashioned way from the human Self. For 50 years this is no longer allowed and people drink from blood from the blood banks. Her mother gets Greg to help her overcome her phobia. But actually they are soul mates I enjoyed the first part. Easy writing style and funny moments in the book. (cucumber in the pants😂)You read from the third pov what I really liked in this book. That way you got from both of them what they thought and not from one side. The other characters were also really nice and I'm really looking forward to meeting them in the next books. If you like wonderful funny romance books then I definitely recommend this series to read! You'll have these books out in no time

What a fun read! Lissi is a vampire with a strange condition, she faints at the sight of blood. This means that Lissi has to feed the old-fashioned way, "off the hoof," or straight from mortals, instead of feeding off bags of blood from the blood bank like good vampires are supposed to! So, for her birthday, her mom "kidnaps" a psychologist to cure her of her condition. When Lissianna sees Greg tied up on her bed, she things he might be a birthday present of the snacking kind and hilarious hijinks ensue.While the "who done it" in this book was pretty obvious from the get go, it was still highly entertaining and there were enough twists and turns to keep me wrapped up in it. I also appreciated Sands original twist on the creation of vampires and their lives. It was also pretty funny, too! This would be a great vacation read or a great book to read in between heavier subjects.

In author Lynsay Sands first Argeneau book we meet Lissianna Argeneau and Dr. Gregory HewittLissianna is a vampire, well, kind of—she drinks blood but she also faints at the sight of it, making needing blood and getting it more tedious for her to say the least, unlike for other vampires now-a-day’s who do not bite people unless it is an emergency. This year for her birthday her mother has decided that she needs cured and so she gets her one—a psychologist that deals with phobias.Dr. Gregory Hewitt was just leaving his office—on his way home to get ready for his very first vacation and finds himself tied to a bed and cursing himself for the actions that led him there. In walks Lissianna—literally—the attraction is immediate between the two of them and both are pretty disappointed to learn that Greg has been brought there to treat her phobia.I really enjoyed this novel, Lynsay Sands is an amazing writer and the story seems to come to life before your very eyes, being both funny (Laugh out loud funny!), romantic and with pretty good sex scenes as well (which is always a plus to me), this book has all I could ask for and more! Both Greg and Lissianna are wonderful characters, very solid and ingrained in the plot that surrounds them but one thing I also love about this book is the interaction we get with other Argeneau family members. It makes things seem much more, well, pulled together I suppose, as opposed to if we just focused on Greg and Lissianna. It also gives us a peak at future characters in the series though—my favorite so far has to be Lucian! I can not wait to get my hands on his book!Of course we do have problems in this book—one being the attraction between Greg and Lissianna. Not the attraction in itself but that they can not wipe his memory of them—his mind his too strong and he knows what they are. The second is that someone is trying to kill Lissianna. At the end of the book I have to say, even though I thought it was obvious who was trying to kill her after reading a bit of it that I was still very drawn in and loved how everything played out.Also, I have to mention it I love the authors reason for the ‘vampire’ existing in the first place—very unique and not something I have ever read done before with a vampire book, which is saying something considering how many there are today.Overall this is one book that I would recommend to anyone who loves a good paranormal book.

The first time I read A Quick Bite was several years ago, maybe even a decade, and I instantly fell in love with Lynsay Sands' world and the Argeneau Immortals! I like the concept and this version of the Vampire Lore. What can I say! Vampires are one of my favorite paranormal creatures!Lissianna and Gregory's story is a nice introduction to the Argeneau Family!Re-Read: 12/2019

*giggle* I thought this was a great book!I thought the vampire aspect, the way Sands wrote it, was definitely original. I'd never heard it explained like that and I thought it was a great twist. The characters seemed real, especially the family part of it. LOL, I could see my dad's side of the family doing just what the Argeneau family does. I thought Lissi was a great character. Strong in her own right, she has a head on her shoulders, and I'm equally glad that she fell in love with 'the doctor' as much as he did with her. They match each other equally in brains and tastes. And I won't ruin it by giving any spoilers. But I do have a question to get you wondering... does Lissi really get over her phobia? Read it to find out, LOL!

How many times i read this book? Three times already and i can't get enough of it. I love how Lissiana becomes a Wonder Woman to protect Greg from everyone, even from her uncle Lucian. A little secret for future readers. Don't hate Lucian, he is a sexy cruel man with a big heart.

Loved Lissana and Greg's story. I was actually a little leery of the whole vampire faints at blood, but Lissi was fun and Greg was a great guy!
