One granddaughter loves Pinkalicious and this is not even my first time reading this story. A mini-mermaid is found and needs rescuing! Pinkalicious and her brother do their best to keep the mermaid happy for a bit until they finally send her back to her home. I love the colorful illustrations, especially the sand castle!

Pinkalicious was at the beach where she found a minimeriad and she took her around the beach to show her around, but the mermaid wanted to go home. I believe that the kids could realize the big picture is that if someone wants to go home, take them home and do pressure them to do things that they don't want to do.

I do not understand why this book is rated so low. It's about a girl called pinkalicious and she discovers a tiny mermaid in a shell laying in the sand. Pinkalicious introduces the mermaid to human food, surfing and sand castles. A bird captures her and pinkalicious saves her, then returns her back to the sea where she belongs.

Genre: Modern Fantasy Grade Level: K-1This was another great book! I am a huge fan of Victoria Kann and her books. The plot of this book was exciting and kept me entertained. My favorite part of this book was the illustrations. I feel like they take the story to the next level. The pictures are always vibrant and exciting.

Really cute book following Pinkalicious around. This time she finds a "merminnie" a tiny mermaid. It's really sweet and they go around spending time with their new friend and try to get her back home.

Genre: Modern Fantasy Grade Level: K-3rd Using the same characters of Pinkalicious, this book continued the story of a girl in all pink, discovering colors other than her favorite. Aqua/Blue was the focus in this book, making this series a way to explore different colors through the stories and pictures. I love how explorative and open to trying new things the girl is, and how she also works through problems in a simple way. A great read aloud for younger kids with many lessons!

The vivid colors capture the imagination of Kann’s readers. Even though the story seems to be short of any message the colorful graphics keep the children’s interest. Children see a rare species merminnie mermaid Aqua, Pinkalicious, and Peter having fun at the beach. The colorful illustrations in AQUALICIOUS capture a child’s imagination earning a 4 star ranking.

This was a great book! It was cool how the mermaid/merminnie in the book was an “actual” thing at the beach for Pinkalicious and her family to see, and not just in Pinkalicious’ imagination. This is a really cool series!*NOTE* I got a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review
