Be With Me Audiobook Summary

New York Times Bestseller

From the author of the #1 New York Times bestseller Wait for You

Do Teresa and Jase have a real shot at getting together or will life get in the way?

Teresa Hamilton is having a rough year–she’s in love with her big brother’s best friend, but he hasn’t spoken to her since they shared a truly amazing, mind-blowing, life-changing kiss. Then she got out of a terrible relationship. Now an injury is threatening to end her dance career for good. It’s time for plan B: college. And maybe she’ll have a chance to convince Jase that what they have together is real.

Jase Winstead has a huge secret that he’s not telling anyone–especially not his best friend’s incredibly beautiful sister. Even though he and Teresa shared the hottest kiss of his life, he knows that his responsibilities must take priority. He certainly doesn’t have time for a relationship. But it doesn’t help that all he can think about is kissing the one girl who could ruin everything for him.

As they’re thrown together more and more, Jase and Teresa can’t keep denying their feelings for each other. But a familiar danger looms and tragedy strikes. As the campus recovers, the star-crossed couple must decide what they’re willing to risk to be together and what they’re willing to lose if they’re not. . . .

After reading: Actual rating:4.5 starsThis book was really good! Read it in one sitting and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Jase annoyed me with his hot and cold attitude initially but he grew on me. I adored Theresa and the character growth she undergoes. Loved that we got to see glimpses of Cam and Avery too :DUpdate: 29th September 2013 Would you look at that cover?! Gorgeous!Wish it was February already. --------- More teasers:He shot me a look that scorched. “I wanted to make this perfect. I wanted to wait, but I can’t now.” ---He closed his eyes and a deep sound came from the back of his throat. “God, Tess…”I swallowed hard and then tilted my head, lining up our mouths. “Jase?”There was a moment of hesitation and then he kissed me softly, a gently sweep of his lips over mine. A barely there touch that somehow effected me more than any of the other kisses. “I know you’ve been drinking. I don’t want that hanging between us.”“But—”“We’ll talk more later. Okay? Right now, let me just get your not-drunk-but-slightly-tipsy cute ass upstairs.”“You think my ass is cute?”He pulled away, laughing. “Baby, your ass is like my own personal holy ground.” ----Update 29/5/2013Teaser: “Is Spring Mills even a town?” At Jase’s confused stare, I shrugged. “I mean, isn’t it really just Hedgesville or Falling Waters? Just because you build a super Wal-Mart, that doesn’t make it a town.”Jase stared at me a moment longer and then he laughed deeply.God help me, but I loved it when he laughed like that. No matter how irritated I was with him or how badly I wanted to karate kick him between the legs, when he laughed, it was like the sun was shining in my eyes.Leaning over, he wrapped an arm around my waist, tugging me closer—close enough that if I lifted my head, our mouths would be inches apart. My heart literally did several pliés in my chest. If talking about fake towns and Wal-Marts got him in the hugging mood, I’d start naming other places like Darksville and Shanghai and—“Sometimes I don’t think you’re right in the head.” He squeezed me as he dropped his chin to the top of my head and my breath caught in my throat. “But I like that. I really do. Not sure what that says about me.”“That you’re awesome?”He chuckled. “Yeah, something like that.”Update 8/5/2013JLA just said that Jase is her favorite guy and that's taking into account Daemon, Aiden and Cam :0 Be prepared to swoon over Jase :D "Love can heal. Love can also kill." Teaser: OMG! Another book? This just made my day. I want more of Cam, Avery, Brit, Jacob, Ollie, Jase and Theresa. The story is about Theresa....and hopefully Jase? Now I'll just have to patiently wait for the blurb, cover and release date the book! *Le Sigh*

4 Stars! Be with Me is the story of Teresa (Tess) and Jase. Jase is Cam’s best friend and Tess is Cam’s little sister. You can see where this is going, right? Although Jase and Tess have had feelings for one another since that shared kiss over a year ago, Jase has stayed away. Now that Tess is on the same college campus as Jase, it is so much harder for him to keep his distance. He wants Tess, it’s obvious, but he can’t have her. For so many reasons, he feels they can’t be together. He can’t have Tess, but what he doesn’t realize is that he already does. No one compares to Jase for her. “I’m sorry. What happened between us? It shouldn’t have, and I am so very fucking sorry.” “You’re Cam’s little sister. You’re untouchable.” Tess and Jase do the friendship thing for a while. Tess is at that college for one reason. She injured her knee and can’t dance at the moment. After learning she shares a class with Jase, he offers to chauffeur her around campus to make it easier for her. This means they spend a lot of time together. The more time they spend together, the harder it becomes for Jase to resist her. He still has so many reservations, but he can’t control himself around her. He can’t continue to push her away. Tess and Jase enter in a relationship, but they keep it to themselves for now. When is a good time to tell Cam that his best friend (who used to be somewhat of a ladies man) and his baby sister are together? Cam is extra protective of Tess, especially after the situation with her last boyfriend(view spoiler)[He was abusive to Tess, Cam found out and beat the crap out of him etc (hide spoiler)]. Things are different with Tess than any other girl. So different. He is all in with her. Jase takes her to meet his parents, and the little boy who means everything to him, his little brother Jack. He doesn’t do things like that. Not ever. Tess is special. He can see a future with her. “I didn’t care about them. Not like I care about you, Tess. I want this- I want us to be different. I want us to mean more than sex. I need us to mean more than that. Okay?” What will the future hold? When or if Tess’s knee injury heals, will she take off to dance? Jase has obligations that keep him where he is. He can’t leave the area. Before they get to delve too deep into any of that, a lot of crazy things go down. When we found out Jase’s secret early on, I have to say I wasn’t surprised. It was fairly predictable. But this? When we hit that 60-65% mark, I can truthfully say I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING! And I cried. And it changed everything. From the 65% mark on, it became very fast paced, a little angsty, and kept me completely on the edge of my seat!Jase and Tess made a fantastic couple. Once they faced some of the obstacles that were between them, I adored them together. Jase was the sweetest. The cupcake thing... made me melt! And he was HOT! The scenes between the two of them were much steamier than the first book imo. I liked the quote that Jase said about good things coming from the unexpected. I think that was the best thing about this book. Everything that happened to each of the mc’s was something unexpected. Things that they never wanted or expected, but things that ended up working out just fine. Wait for You was one of my favorite NA books of last year. I loved everything about it. Be with Me was a great read too. It was sexy, sweet, funny and even a bit suspenseful. For some reason, I just didn’t get into it as much as book one. The beginning half was a bit slow for me. It was very well written, and still a great story, it just didn’t hit my five star buttons. Still, I would recommend it to any JLA and NA fans. I see that Calla’s book will be next (Stay with Me- due sometime September 2014) and I’m looking forward to that. She seemed like a good friend to Tess and after hearing a little of her story, I’m interested to see whats going to happen with her.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

I consider "Be with me" the best of the series, although I love the first one, I connected more with this and maybe because of the characters.Avery was very fragile and vulnerable, but I was in the mood of reading something about a determined and stubborn heroine. Teresa was it:)The book follows Teresa and Jase, Cam's little sister and best friend. They have a history together, sharing a kiss some time ago but keeping it friendly after that. Jase was drunk and confused, but Teresa knew what she was doing. She was secretly in love in with and wanted a chance to make him happy. Jase on the other hand was guarded and kept his distance, partly because we are talking about his best friend litte sister, but mainly because he has a well guarded secret that once revealed, it would change Teresa's opinion about him.I liked Teresa so much. She was the typical straight forward style, determined, passionate and committed. She was in love with Jase and once feeling they may have a chance, she went full throttle to win him over. She was not afraid of his brother and defended her love for Jase. She was very brave, but also fragile, and made me admire her more for it. She also accepted anything that came with Jase, because she loved him without judging.Jase was a very tormented guy, with a mysterious past and with a heavy baggage. He was also attracted to Terasa, but his responsibilities were more important than love. He was committed to a role he had for years, and once letting someone in might have consequences. He was very mature for his age and didn't put his needs first. He gave up a lot in his life and I really believe he deserves to be happy with a person that can accept and see him for what he is. The love scenes between them were intense and passionate. I loved the way Jennifer made them click so well, although at first their relationship was impossible.I enjoyed seeing Cam and Avery back, but Cam really managed to upset me with this overprotective side. In the end I understood his position, that this is what big brothers do.Overall, I love this series for the amazing characters it provides us and for the amazing and original stories we witnessed. 5 stars!!For more reviews please check https://readwithloveblog.wordpress.com

Second book in the series and I fell in love again. ❤️ This book had some black parts and Erik was so cruel, but I’m so happy the ending was happy. And that trio... so cute! Happy family and all that. Perfect! P. S. I missed Cam and it was so good to read about him again. 😏

4 Cupcake Stars Teresa has always had one dream, simply to dance. But when she injures her knee she's on to plan B, attending college, the same college that Cam, Avery and Jase attend. She's been harboring feelings for her brother's best friend ever since that night that he kissed her a year ago, the night that he took her mind off of the abusive relationship she escaped and the events that would change her brother's life.Jase can't seem to stop his attraction to Tess, his life is far too complicated though for him to allow himself to fall for this girl. Saddled with his own secrets and fears of what loving someone can do; he pushes Tess away. But he can only push so much until he is dragging her back. Both Jase and Tess have their own struggles they'll have to deal with. Her injury has taken away so much already and things just seem to get worse. As for Jase, his secret is not just a painful memory, but a daily reminder. When they're pushed to their limits they finally are forced to face their feelings. Letting go isn't as simple as he thought it would be when his heart wants her to stay.Jennifer set the bar pretty high with Cam and those damn cookies, so Jase had a lot to live up to. He fell a little bit short for me, but I still enjoyed this story. I love the little sister/best friend romances and loved that we finally got to know Jase. His big reveal was a tad bit predictable, for those that have read each of the books in this series - I guess that most were already sorting this out pretty early on. But that did not diminish the story for me one bit.Tess was a likable all the way around - she wasn't overly insecure and she knew what she wanted from the start. I love when the heroine is more on the stable side of things even when things in her life seem to be heading south. As for Jase, he was broken... but not enough for my taste. I wanted either the angst that comes with the man-whore or the damage that comes from past trauma... he was just a little banged up - I like them shattered.I adore Jennifer's writing style and how she develops the story. As a reader, you just can't go wrong when it comes to selecting something from this author. Did I want a bit more to this story? Yes. I wanted Jase to blow Cam out of the water... but that was not the case this time around. And although this can be read as a stand alone, you'll get more of a complete picture if you read the prior books in the series. We are also introduced to Calla, who is an intriguing character. I am hoping that she'll end up with Brandon who seems to be just a tad bit damaged.

Squeezing in as many books as I can before going back to uni. This was an awesome, quick and heart-pounding read. The story was unpredictable. The writing was witty and fun. The romance made my eyes rolled out of its sockets a couple of times but it turned out great and made me turn green with jealousy. Oh, and it had a bit of suspense too.I had a love and hate relationship with Jase though. But he's redeemed. What more can I say about a Jennifer Armentrout book that hasn't already been said? With all the talk about cupcakes. “He was going to make me gain ten pounds this way, but so far I’d had a variety of cupcakes—Twix, Oreos, strawberry, white chocolate, Skittles—that was kind of gross—banana and chocolate, and a dark chocolate cupcake that was so decadent I felt like I had to go to church after eating it.” “Today we shared a red velvet cupcake with some kind of cream cheese icing.” “It’s peanut butter icing and filling.” “It’s vanilla with strawberry icing.” All I can say is I NEED TO MAKE AN EMERGENCY CUPCAKE RUN RIGHT THIS INSTANT!(That's right! I just quoted the ones about cupcake. So sue me.)

4 Super Cute Stars I really like this series and although Be With Me didn’t leave me shocked and awed like Wait for You, I still enjoyed Be with Me a lot. Teresa is your typical college gal. She’s in love with her brother’s best friend and knows Jase will never be with her. Jase has past issues and because of that he doesn’t let anyone get close to him. Now, that Teresa is in college and they go to school together, it’s harder for Jase to keep Teresa at arm’s length. This book is super cute, it’s a no fuss, no muss kind of book that is perfect if you are ever in the mood for that. I really like the storyline. Teresa The Heroine isn’t anything special, but she isn’t annoying. I liked her, she’s cute and who doesn’t like a Heroine who has a crush on the Hero. She wants to be a dancer, but she struggles with her knee. Very … like I say it again, cute right? Jase Oh Jase, the guy with a lot of baggage and issues. Jase has a secret and it keeps him very guarded. You can see his struggles with his feelings with Teresa and it’s very interesting to read. There’s crazy tension and you just want them to work it out! Overall I really like the banter between the main characters and it’s pretty fast pace read. There’s no annoying parts or dragging scenes. You find out Jase’s past fairly quickly and it’s a good one too. If you are a fan of Jennifer’s works, like I am, you will not be disappointed.Series Order REVIEW | AMAZON REVIEW | AMAZON AMAZON

I think because Cameron Hamilton and his damn cookies were met first...there was pretty high bar set, so although I love Jase and Tess...it wasnt as fabulous as book 1!This however does not take away how much I truly liked this. Jase and Tess's tale has a much harsher feel to it, a more emotional tone, and definitely more intense themes. There was still a bit of humor and good banter, but again...more complex/intense characers!I really like Jase...How truly heartbreaking his past is. He is a big bad teddy bear, he struggles so hard to do the right thing at all times, but his heart is so big and he really, really wants his best friend's little sister! His passion and his needs/wants for Tess were super, hot and sensual...this man has to have the worst case of blue balls ever experienced! That or he has the patience of an absolute saint! As for Tess...this beautiful little broken dancer....I was kind of in the middle with her...I will acknowledge the fact that she was young, and that she has had a forever crush on Jase, but she was bit drama for me with about everything. I felt bad for all the shit she had dumped on her from her injury, past abusive relationship, and traumatic roomie experiences. I did appreciated her all out attitude towards Jase, but I just felt she was too young to really "know" what her future would be, esp after losing her dreams! But both were inherently good...both were a balm to each other's souls. One young and naïve...one older and experienced, but both on a level playing field. That being said, i am still a fan of this series! I love Jase and his pink cupcake boxes, and I hope he and Tess make it...i guess time will tell! I am really hoping Ollie gets some love...and Calla is an amazing character i think should def be explored!
