LOVED this Anthology....Each story on it's own was fabulous, but put them all together, and they were so so much fun to read!! V-Day will be all the more "Sweeter" if you read this book!!Full reviewYou know when you get an Anthology you might get one good story of the bunch...Well... So not the case here...For ONLY $1.99, you are getting THREE Sweet, Funny and Heart-Warming Romances that will leave you light-hearted and smiling long after you have read the last page. We are talking Three Sexy, Sometime Moody, Sometimes Broody Heroes, with hearts of gold, and some sassy, "I'm gonna get my man" heroines. In WAITING FOR YOU by Jennifer Ryan, we get a Second Chance Romance that will steal your heart, and I was thrilled that it was an introduction to Jennifer's New Series, The McBrides (can we say SQUEE). Grant and Taylor have some unresolved issues from their one night together, and if might just take that special "love" in the air to finally get these two together after all the years they were apart! Emotional, and Sweet...you might need a tissue on hand!In SWEET FORTUNE, Sarah Randall, our shy little Sarah is coming out of her shell, and if you can go big...go home...right? Well, she is going for the biggest Bachelor in town, Deputy Brady Bennett (OH MOMMA), and once she sets her mind to something, well, let's just say she has a very "creative" way to show the man she wants, that she cares!! If you haven't read Candis Terry's Sweet Texas Series, well, ya need to do that now, but you will understand that SWEET FORTUNE is just another Fabulous addition to the series, and you will be laughing, swooning and maybe a bit of panting...waiting for these two to get together!! Valentine's Day has never been hotter (than Deputy Bennett)!!In MAJOR LEAGUE CRUSH by Jennifer Seasons, one of my favorite secondary characters from the Diamonds and Dugouts Series, Drake Paulson, finally meets his match in his "not quite his typical type" neighbor Bertie. She is short, wears glasses and has a snarky attitude, but little does he know, she has been crushing on him for years. Drake just might be in for the most important inning with Bertie, and it will take a lot of convincing to get her to convince her that he is the "Real" Deal!! Loved it!!

I loved this collection of short stories from three of my favorite authors. Every story either continues a successful ongoing series or leads into a new one. They all make me want to go back and read the other books. In Waiting For you by Jennifer Ryan, Grant has returned to town and meets up with Taylor the girl he let get away. Taylor isn't happy to see Grant return but he is determined to bring her around and finally get his heart's desire. This book also introduces Rain, the heroine in Ms. Ryan's first book in her new McBride's series. In Sweet Fantasy by Candis Terry, Sarah had moved to Sweet Texas to work on a reality series. Now that it is over she needs to decide what she is going to do with her life. Hunky deputy Brady makes her realize that maybe Sweet is where she wants to stay. The Sweet series has been great fun to read and this story is a nice little addition. The final story is Major League Crush by Jennifer Seasons. Roberta has had a crush on her neighbor Drake, a professional baseball player for the Rush. "Bertie" has even mirrored her crush on the syndicated comic strip she writes. When Drake and Bertie finally meet they discover that reality can be better than fantasy. I loved the humor in this book and look forward to future Rush stories.

When I first saw this anthology come available for review, I immediately knew it would be a must read! I am absolutely in love with Candis Terry's Sweet series, so to see a novella by her was reason enough to snag this. I have been wanting to read books by Jennifer Ryan and Jennifer Seasons for awhile now, so to get a taste of their writing through these novellas was awesome. I will definitely be picking up their other books soon! All of these stories are cute, sweet, and have just the right amount of steam and romance to prepare you for the holiday of love. Waiting For You by Jennifer Ryan tells of a woman named Taylor who has come back to her hometown to help take care of her now deceased grandmother's ranch, as well as run her grocery store. Running into Grant Devane reignites old feelings she's just barely been able to push below the surface. Yet she has also been hurt by Grant and is unsure of how her coming back into town will affect the two. Grant realizes he made a mistake with her and wants nothing more than the chance to rectify it and make her his. However, Grant certainly has his work cut out for him. He has a lot of explaining to do in regards to why things happened the way they did between the two of them, but he is determined to not let her get away this time. I really enjoyed both Grant and Taylor and watching him go to the lengths he did to show her how he really felt (and had felt all along) was really sweet. Sweet Fortune by Candis Terry was probably my favorite of the three, but that's because I am already so invested in these characters! I was rooting for shy Sarah to find a love of her own ever since the first book in the series Anything But Sweet. Sarah has always been on the shyer, not so adventurous side. She doesn't have the bonds that her friends in Sweet do to their families. Yet, she does know she's tired of just sitting on the sidelines. I admire her so much for realizing that her life wasn't what she wanted and that she was going to grab the bull by the horns and take charge of it. Moving to Sweet was impulsive, but necessary for her and while she sees herself the way she does, I saw a girl with guts. As Valentine's Day nears, she doesn't want to let another year pass her by without love. After seeing the Sweet's Valentine's Day Most Wanted and finding Deputy Brady Bennett listed, she decides to take a chance. She doesn't think he would go for a girl like her, but she is willing to give it her best shot. Brady is attracted to the sweet, vulnerable blonde, but is quite jaded when it comes to love and relationships. He vows he won't go down that road before, as it only leads to heartbreak and betrayal. Yet, Sarah manages to insert herself into not only his life, but his heart. Terry does such a great job of bringing the sexual chemistry and I loved watching Brady and Sarah together. The thought of her being with someone else sends him into a jealous rage, which is his number one clue that he's already in pretty deep. I also loved getting to see Charli and Reno again! They were the reasons I fell in love with this series to start, so it was great seeing them together and helping their friends. Finally, Major League Crush by Jennifer Seasons ended the anthology and I loved the witty, quirky humor she inserted into her novella. Bertie Cogswell is not at all like the beautiful, statuesque women that frequent her drop dead gorgeous neighbor's doorstep. Instead, she is a bit a of nerd and with her curves and glasses doesn't attract many men to her own door. Yet, Bertie has character and she has heart and that is what made me love her. Some of the things she said had me cracking up at how awkward she was! She never in a million years expected her neighbor Drake Paulson, baseball player extraordinaire, to notice her. Drake is currently on hiatus from the dating pool, tired of the usual women that he associates with. He wants something real and when the adorably quirky Bertie ignites something in him he never expected to feel with someone like her, he can't deny that he wants her. Spending even a few minutes with her, he can tell she's different and it's like a breath of fresh air. He has harbored a crush on a comic strip artist for years and even though he's never met her, he's fallen for her wit and humor and he can't get enough of her strip portraying a baseball player and a nerdy almost stalker girl who lives across the hall. Sound familiar? Minus the stalker part, you've got it! Watching Drake put two and two together was quite amusing and several shades of HOT. It was so much fun watching the two together, especially since Bertie knew she was way out of her league when it came to Drake. I hated her self doubts and insecurity, but I can understand where she was coming from. For someone who has never had men knocking down her door, she has a hard time discerning whether he feels something true or if he's making fun of her. What she doesn't realize is that Drake is a genuine, good guy even though he seems a bit insincere at first with all the 'girly' and 'girl' he uses with her. If you are looking for some heartwarming romance this Valentine's Day, this anthology will definitely satisfy you and leave you high on love and all things sweet and sappy.*Received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review.*

A review copy was provided for an honest review. Confessions of a Secret Admirer Anthology has three romantic and quirky stories wrapped in one sweet book. Now normally I don't read anthologies because they're too short but I couldn't pass this one up. There are a talented trio of authors who have their novellas featured which is why I figured I'd give it a shot, and I'm very happy I did! The first short story Waiting for You by Jennifer Ryan is a cute tale about how two friends and former lovers reunite after many years apart. I liked it, Ryan gives dual perspectives and reignites their chemistry for Valentines Day.Sweet Fortune delivers the goods—literally. There has never been a story by Terry that I didn't completely enjoy. This time Charli's young makeover assistant Sarah Randall gets her shot at falling in love, but instead of it being with a Wilder it's with the town's handsome Deputy Officer Brady Bennett. Is it wrong that I wish that Sarah and Brady's story was full length?! Brady's packing heat in this heart-stealing novella. The characters are alive on the pages and the town of Sweet is just what it claims to be.It's baseball season! Or better yet, it's Jennifer Seasons' hot new short Major League Crush about a sexy baseball player! Drake Paulson has got eyes for his shy and peculiar neighbor Roberta whose apartment is right across the hall. Having never noticed this feisty yet socially awkward woman before they find themselves at odds with their feelings. Bertie is keeping a secret that if revealed could destroy any and all relationship potential. This comedic and unconventional romance will have you outright laughing and cheering for Roberta! This Valentines Day you'll be reaching for this collection! Triple the charm with Jennifer Ryan, Candis Terry, and Jennifer Seasons' delightful short stories. Individually they offer love, laughter, and comfort. This anthology is better and sweeter than a heart-shaped box of chocolates!

3.5 stars - I am only a an occasional contemporary romance reader but I find myself drawn to holiday themed collections and Confessions of a Secret Admirer was just the Valentine Anthology I was looking for.Waiting for You - Jennifer Ryan - The death of her grandmother brings Taylor back to her childhood home town and back into the vicinity of Grant the man who drove her from town after the hook-up. - This was a decent enough short, that built on foundation from the years of history that the pair had growing up next to each other - the minus to this is that it is a 'big misunderstanding' centric story, the plus is that the heroine decides to take the risk to get past that, when the clues stack up to indicate that everything is/was not as it seemed. (pretty good)Sweet Fortune - Candis Terry - I fortune cookie is the impetuous for Sarah to take her life in a new direction and to step out of her comfort zone to go after the hunky sheriff in her new town. - I really liked Sarah, she is such a sweetie and it is great to see her come out of 'the woodwork' and capture the sheriff's heart even though he's closed himself off to the possibility of loving again - and that she is his perfect woman even though Sarah doesn't see herself that way. (I liked it)Major League Crush - Jennifer Seasons - Comic strip writer Bertie is finally noticed by her long time crush and inspiration for her strip, her next door neighbor baseball star Drake. - The charm of this story is Bertie, she's brash and awkward and vibrant and she makes this story fun, and I liked that Drake was in the point of his life that he was ready for a woman with a bit more substance and was able to see beyond Bertie's awkward shell. The time frame for this story is really short, but Drake's secret obsession makes the promise of a HEA still work anyway. (I liked it)

Confessions of a Secret Admirer is a lovely anthology releasing just in time for Valentine's day and features three separate novellas by three seperate & amazing authors. This collection of stories will have you smiling, giggling and possibly blushing as well (I know I was!). The secret admirer theme gives these stories an interesting flare and I lord all three. Someone asked me which was my favorite if I had to choose and I couldn't decide they were all three fabulous.Waiting for You is my first Jennifer Ryan read and I am going to call it a teaser, because now that I've had a taste of her writing I need to read more! Candis Terry reinforced the reason I love her writing with Sweet Fortune. The story of Sarah and Deputy Brady add to the already amazing Sweet, Texas series. Everyone who follows my blog knows I am a Jennifer Seasons super fan! I love her baseball books and Major League Crush was no exception.. Drake, oh Drake....I would have bought and read this story a full length book too!If you are looking for a pick me up collection of stories to get you ready for Valentine's Day, grab this book! It is LOVE-ly!

So I loved all three of the novellas in this combination of stories. The first one was full of the past history we love when two people come together, people that went to school together and separated on less than good points. Loved the ending, it was very romantic :)The second one is also apart of a series, I believe. I haven't read the series yet but I intend to now! ITs a classic, invisible girl decides to move so she can have a shot at not being invisible, and the way she goes about it is definitely cute :) lolthe third and final one is by far my favorite. I loved the back story, they both have crushes on each other, his in a more round about way. but the way he made her believe him was priceless!!! Also apart of a series, and i'm definitely going to read that one too. All three had passable love scenes, the first not so much, more like a make out session with it skipping over it and going to the morning after. The second and third had only one scene each, with others mentioned but not detailed.Great romantic reads for Valentines day!

It's so great to read a book and be able to say "Oh my god, she's just like me!" Bertie in the last story, Major League Crush, is awkward as hell, just like me. Only difference between us is that I don't have a hot major league ball player living near me....that would be nice though, lol

3 1/2 stars total..2 good stories 1 not so much..Waiting For You by Jennifer Ryan. Narrated by Joanna ParkerThis was a cute story of a young couple who had sex then Grant ran Taylor off, even though he knew he really loved her, then he had to wait for eight years for her to come back home. Then he had to prove to her that he really didn’t hate her, that he loved her and always had. It was a really cute short story. I really enjoyed it. I liked the secondary characters, too: Seth, Amy, and Rain. 4 StarsThere was explicit sex in this story and the F-bomb was used a total of 9 times throughout the entire book. As to the narration: I enjoyed Joanna Parker’s narration very much. I would definitely listen to her again......................................Sweet Fortune by Candis Terry. Narrated by Xe SandsAnother sweet love story. This one was about a Deputy and a waitress who found each other, with the help of friends. Sarah had moved 1000 miles away from her family who were self-absorbed they didn’t even “see” her, didn’t even seem to notice when she moved from California to Texas. And this was about Brody who walked in on his fiancé doing the dirty on HIS dining room table, on Valentine’s Day, so he had a hard time with trust, until he finally noticed Sarah serving him coffee. A cute little story. 3 StarsThere was explicit sex in this book. And the F-bomb was used a total of 9 times throughout the entire book.As to the narration: Love Xe Sands. Her voices and emotions are perfect..............................Major League Crush by Jennifer Seasons. Narrated by Andi ArndtI’m afraid I didn’t like this story that much. I couldn’t even tell you what Bertie looked like, other than she wasn’t all that much to look at. I got the impression she was a little ugly because Bobby Murkus suggested they get together because no one that looked like the two of them would ever find love “they would have to settle.” So, he thought Bertie and he should be “settle” partners. I, also, have no real idea what Drake looked like, either. Other than he had really curly hair that stuck out on each side of his baseball cap. I assume he’s nice looking since authors want to pair a non-descript female with a gorgeous guy, as if that ever going to happen. 2 StarsAlso, this had explicit sex and that fact that the author used the word “pussy” to describe a woman’s private parts tells me I will not be reading anything else by Jennifer Seasons. And the F-bomb was used a total of 9 times throughout the entire book.As to the narration. Andi Arndt was just alright for me. Most of the time all she did was read the book and I need more than that from a narrator........................

These short stories were cuteI wasn't expecting these to be Valentines Day related but I guess it makes sense with the book cover and title (and if I read the synopsis) maybe I would have figured it out. Either way these were uber cute and my favorite was Major League Crush.4.5 stars

Great second chance.I bought this anthology for the book by Jennifer Ryan. Loved staying on edge, wondering what went wrong with Grant and Taylor years ago. When will they admit they love each other? Didn’t realize this is the prequel to the McBrides, so now I’ll re read the series. I highly recommend this book.
