Fall with Me audiobook

4 stars! Fall with Me is the 5th book in JLA’s Wait for You series. Even though book one is by far the best book of the series, this was one I liked a lot. Reece and Roxy were both great characters. I listened to the audio book of this one, and the narration was good. It was an easy listen. It had that NA feel to it, but also some mystery and suspense. Roxy works at Jax’s bar. She’s an artist first and foremost, but she also bartends and takes classes at a community college. She’s close with her family, devoted to her best friend, and has been in love with the same man since she was 15. Roxy is a heroine that is easy to love. She can be a bit dense and flighty at times, but she’s also fun, feisty, and has a good heart. Reece is a military vet who is now a cop in Roxy’s town. Reece who Roxy fell for when they were both in high school. He’s sexy, alpha and sweet. Roxy and Reece’s story really starts 11 months ago… when an incident that really didn’t happen went down. Now everything is turned around and Roxy has to try to find a way to fix it. But it can’t be that easy. She’s got things going on with her best friend and some creepy stuff going on at home. I loved Roxy and Reece’s relationship. That push and pull at the beginning. Taking risks and figuring things out, it’s always fun to watch that. They had great chemistry and you could just tell they were meant to be together. Even though they are so very different, they really compliment one another. Another aspect of this story I loved was Charlie’s part. It wasn’t always easy to read and it hit me right in the feels, but it really made me love Roxy so much more as a character. Seeing that kind of love and devotion from her was endearing. Fall with Me is a fantastic addition to this series about falling in love and taking risks. I loved catching up with all my favorite characters from the series (and YES, you get a parts with all of them). I loved the romance mixed with the mystery, and JLA never fails to make me laugh when reading her stories, no matter what genre so that’s always a plus. I am SO hoping that the next book is Nick’s. I don’t even care who the heroine is (though I think I have a pretty good clue…) I just really want a Nick book!

4.5 stars! Short review!I love JLA, it's no secret. Whenever she writes a new book, no matter what genre, I am on top of that shit. Fall With Me is the fourth book in the Wait For You series and I recommend reading the others before reading this one. Roxy is a bartender at Mona's and Reece is a local cop. The two have been family friends since they were teenagers, but Roxy has had a gigantic crush on Reece since she laid eyes on him. About a year ago, the two of them hooked up and Reese was less than enthusiastic about it the morning after, hurting Roxy's feelings. But the truth is, nothing happened that night, but Roxy can't get past Reese's obvious regret. Almost a year later, Reese decides he wants to start over. It's up to Roxy to take the next step.I really enjoyed this book, it's not my favorite of the series but it still has the JLA touch. And she wasn't using as many annoying phrases as the last book (the low point being "Holy granola bar" in book 3). None of that was in this book and I appreciated it. The suspense story was fairly predictable but it added a bit of a thrill to an already great story. I really want to know more about Henry, who wronged Roxy and her friend Charlie years ago. And I want to know (view spoiler)[ if Avery is pregnant!! She was totes puking in the last book and I don't think it's the flu!! (hide spoiler)].Overall, a really great and fun read. I'd write a much classier/better review with images that this book deserves, but I have almost no free time anymore.

Roxy was fun an spirited and I enjoyed reading about her character. I loved that she never conformed to "normalcy" and that she just let her quirky and artistic personality be the life of the party. Her and Reece made a wonderful couple and I never once doubted that they belonged together. Overall this is a fantastic book and a great addition to this series. I loved getting some past characters too and was happy they didn't take over any part of the book. The book could easily be read as a standalone but I still recommend reading the other books in this series, even if it's out of order, since they're so good.

Das Buch bekommt von mir nur 4 Sterne, weil ich die Reihe an sich so sehr mag. Es war für mich dennoch der schwächste Band bisher für mich. Mochte die ersten beiden einfach am meisten :)Mich stören diese Krimi-Elemente mehr, als dass sie für mich etwas zu Spannung beitragen. Habe relativ früh im Buch eine Idee gehabt wer hinter alledem steckt und leider hatte ich am Ende sogar recht. Und irgendwie fehlte mir da ein bisschen der Fokus drauf, das wurde am Ende nur schnell noch aufgeklärt, ohne ein Motiv oder so zu durchleuchten. Daher ziehe ich auch den Stern ab, denn wenn man davon mal absieht, war es ein toller New Adult Roman!Mit Armentrouts gewohnt tollem Schreibstil wird die Geschichte von Roxy und Reece erzählt. Beide mochte ich wirklich gern und Reece als Polizist in Uniform ist ja nunmal so ziemlich der Traum jeder Frau :DAuch die Botschaft des Buches fand ich schön und auch der Fokus auf dem Thema "Freundschaften" gefiel mir sehr! Freue mich schon auf den nächsten Band, da ich sehr gespannt auf unseren dortigen männlichen Protagonisten bin!

3.5 stars rounded up -I love this series. I truly do… which makes this review a bit harder to write. I didn’t love this installment. I am breaking my own heart by saying that out loud.So… the story. If you’ve read the series here, you know that Roxie works in the bar that is owned by Jax. Kinda quiet … has a thing for Officer Reece Anders, but won’t admit it. Well, something happened between her and Reece… sort of, and they haven’t been speaking for the past 11 months. Unless you call sidelong glances and looks of panic before running off any kind of conversation. When Reece has had enough and confronts Roxie she has to decide if she’s ready to possibly have her heart stomped on again because he’s ready to lay it all on the line.But that’s not all. Roxie’s best friend has been in a long term care facility for years and watching him waste away is killing her and when the man who put him there is released from prison she struggles with the pain that brings. Add to the fact that someone out there is stalking women and the crimes are escalating and Roxie is dealing with a lot of crap right now.I adore Roxie … I love her snark and I love her wit … and I have a deep appreciation for a girl who is addicted to t-shirts like I am. I really enjoyed her as a character here and I loved getting to know more about her past and finding out all about her. But I really felt like she made some very stupid decisions. I don’t mean stupid decisions like I didn’t agree with them, I mean stupid decisions like if she would have actually stopped to think for a minute about the things that have happened she should have come to a different conclusion than the ones that she did. Especially considering the circumstances that are happening in neighboring areas. So Roxie as a character. I loved the layers that Armentrout gives her… the guilt she lives with, the way she’s trying to live her life for her best friend, that’s all really well done. Her struggles she has as she sees who he used to be and who he is now is just heartbreaking to read. I think part of my problem with this story lies with Reece. I don’t know … I just didn’t click with him and I don’t really know if I liked him and Roxie together. Oh sure… I mean, I liked them together together, but I didn’t love their chemistry I think like I have the other characters in this series. Plus, once something about a character starts to bother me, I can’t stop having it bother me, and if I’m being honest, I really hated some of the phrases that Reece used. Well, okay… one.“I’m going to be in you.”“I need to be in you.”“I regret getting in you.”“the only times I’ve been in you have been too fast.”I don’t know what it is, but this just makes me I just felt … I guess like Reece, that everytime they were together it was rushed and while intense and passionate, I just didn’t feel the love between them.Like I said, it pains me to write this because I love this series and the characters here, these two just didn’t work for me.Thank you to Avon books for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

The love and adoration for this series continues with "Fall with Me", the forth installment and from my POV, the most intense and action packed of them all. Roxy and Reece were a very solid couple, with a steamy history and kind of second chances element into it, but I loved them. Their story made me gasp until the last page and Jennifer took this series to a new level, with a darker and more intense twist.Roxy has been in love with Reece since she was 15 years old and a drunk one night stand with him was everything she needed to fuel that fire more. But after that passionate night, Reece doesn't seem to be interested in pursuing a relationship with her, leaving Roxy heartbroken. She finally manages to put behind this unrequited love and try to move forward, but things will become dangerous for her when a very crazy person will go after her and the Police will be involved. Reece's protective side will kick in and in the meantime, he will realize the fool he was for letting Roxy go.The story is extremely action packed and with a lot of twist. It was by far the most complex and breathtaking, because it delivered a lot of surprised which leave you gasping. I loved Jennifer style and originality and the way the crafted Roxy. Reece was not particularly fantastic, but Roxy was so funny, so artistic and so head in the clouds girl. She was also brave and independent, things that made you want to get to know her better. One big bonus for this book was having the gang all together again and seeing them in action. I just love this sense of unity and the way they love and keep each other safe. From my POV this is one of the best Romance series out there and I just hope Jennifer will keep on writing stories like this, because they are so gooood, you become addicted and don't want it to end. 5 stars!!For more reviews please check https://readwithloveblog.wordpress.com

He adorado la historia de Roxy y Reece, my god. Ha sido frenética.Digamos que Roxy es la compañera de trabajo de Calla y Jax (protas del anterior libro) y Reece es policía (y es el mejor amigo de Jax). Me parece increíble como se van uniendo todos los personajes que van saliendo y creando las parejitas y como todos están creando una gran familia de amigos. Hace 11 meses Roxy llevó a casa Reece después de una borrachera. Pasaron ciertas cosas y desde entonces no se hablan. Pero ambos han sido muy buenos amigos y para Roxy, Reece siempre ha sido su crush. Así que partimos la historia a finales de verano con Reece intentando acercarse a Roxy de nuevo, pero ella ha alzado un muro a su alrededor porque no quiere ser herida, así que Reece lo tendrá algo complicado al principio, pero el amor está ahí y no tardará en surgir. Además, en casa de Roxy empiezan a pasar cosas muy raras que al principio no toma muy en serio pero después tendrá que enfrentarse a ellas y no será nada fácil, al igual que enfrentarse a su pasado para llegar a ser feliz con Reece. La historia de amor entre ellos me ha parecido muy bonita. Quizá no es mi favorita de las 4 que llevo de esta saga, pero aún así me han enganchado y he disfrutado de sus momentos. Aunque debo decir que en esta ocasión me ha entusiasmado aún más el drama con todo lo que la sucedía a la pobre Reece. Sospecho algo sobre Cam y Avery, toca esperar a los siguientes libros para saber si mis sospechas son ciertas XD

Warning: this book features an extremely hot member of the police force. True...the story is somewhat predictable. And true, it can sometimes be (for me) overly sexy. But hey, what's not to love about a story that includes a feisty female, a hot cop, and plenty of stalker-related danger and heart-wrenching moments?! I'm guess I'm just a sucker for a romance book with beautiful lines. Example: "I love you, Roxy.(...) You wanted to hear me say it again. I'm going to say it so much that you get tired of hearing it."(...)"I don't think I can ever get tired of hearing that."

Buch aus der "With You" Reihe von J.Lynn, dass ich eingeatmet und für sehr gut befunden habe, deshalb kann und will ich mal wieder nicht weniger als 5 Sterne geben!!!Die Autorin trifft mit ihrem flüssigen und mitreißenden Schreibstil momentan genau einen Nerv in mir, und ich lasse mich in jede Geschichte zu 100 Prozent fallen.Roxy und Reese waren für mich jetzt zwar nicht das interessanteste Pärchen der Reihe, definitiv aber immer noch genial! (Ladies, Reese trägt Polizei-Uniform, Holla die Waldfee!)Dafür hat mich die Geschichte, die Roxy zu der Person gemacht hat, die sie in diesem Buch war, umso mehr berührt, und zu Tränen gerührt!Und kann nur wieder sagen: WER DIE REIHE NICHT LIEST, IST SELBER SCHULD!!!

The first half of the book annoyed me. I think it was her though process or something..? But after that, it was so good! I liked how it wasn't all about sex and getting together, but there was a real story behind the book, too. I absolutely loved Reece and how the characters in the other books were there too! Loved seeing Cam and Avery, Jace and Tess, and Jax and Callie again.
