Thought this was a great book for my daughter. She thought it was funny and cool because she loved how Fancy Nancy was trying not to over stuff but kept doing it any way. And then she thought it was funny when Nancy talked about the disappearing candy.

I and my student A read this ebook together. I really liked the 'karaoke' function in the ebook in which A first listened and then tried to read the texts independently and with much accuracy. I also liked the way this author added the vocabulary function eg scrumptious is another fancy word for yummy or ghoul is another fancy word for scary monster. To promote A's ability to make inferences, I asked A in the middle of the story: "Nancy ate 1 super sized cookie, bags of jelly beans, candy corn, candies, ... how do think Nancy might feel when she reached home?" A answered "She would be ill!" I helped him to elaborate by asking, "In what way?" A answered, "She might have a stomachache!"
