Fancy Nancy: Ooh La La! It’s Beauty Day audiobook

This was another cute Fancy Nancy book! I haven't read another one in a long time and I forgot how much I love the fact that these books focus on teaching children advanced vocabulary skills. The artwork is also beautiful. It may seem as though there is a lot going on however it all works. If you've never picked up one of these books for your children I would definitely recommend it.

I have to be careful what I read to my daughter because she will instantly insist on doing whatever fabulous idea the book suggests...especially when it comes to pedicures, manicures, and other fancy things. Needless to say, we had a great time reading the book and then gave each other glitter toes!!

This is another book in the Fancy Nancy series by Jane O'Connor. In this book Nancy is trying to give her mom a relaxing spa day in the backyard. Nancy makes her mom a face mask, gives her a manicure and pedicure and make over. Mom is not as relaxed as a regular spa day but never the less mom and Nancy have a wonderful day playing Spa. I really enjoyed reading this book, just like all of the other Fancy Nancy series. This book in particular is cute because it gives instructions and recipes for an at home spa day. This book would be really adorable for any daughter and mom to read and try out some of the spa tips. This book would pair great with any other Fancy Nancy series. "Your complexion will feel as smooth as silk," I tell my mom. (Complexion is fancy for skin-I love how there are so many fancy spa words!)

he Fancy Nancy Series is very well written and also extraordinarily well illustrated. In this latest installment, Fancy Nancy decides to treat her mother to a day at the spa, because her mother's birthday is the next day, and Nancy wants to give her a makeover for her big date out with daddy. The book has wonderful recipes for both snacks to serve on a spa day, and for items used for the spa treatments. There are also step by step instructions to perform some of the spa treatments that a child and parent could do together. As always this book will help expand your child's vocabulary in a fun and playful way. It will be fun both to read and try out.

A lovely book, as with all of the Fancy Nancy series. It's both entertaining and educational. One of these days, we'll follow through with some of the spa day recipes the book provides.

This is the first time in a few years since I've read Fancy Nancy as a child. They were my favorite series of books then, and I still absolutely love them now!

Very cute! I was introduced to Fancy Nancy from my dear friend Nancy through Fancy Nancy and the Posh Puppy. I enjoyed that one and I really adored this one. In Fancy Nancy Ooh La La! It's a Beauty Day readers are brought into a great day interaction between mama and daughter. It's Mama's birthday and Nancy is doing everything to make a it a perfect "beauty day". Tips, tools, and recipes are all through out each step of the beauty process complete with fancy terminology and a great learning vocabulary. This book is a realistic fiction about a little girl who throws a spa day for her mother in their backyard. Nancy does her mom's hair and nails and makeup for her fancy dinner that night.This book is pretty cute and accurately portrays the mindset of a little girl. I remember doing about the same thing a couple of times with my mom. I enjoyed this book and its little tidbits of information and new recipes that went only with their spa adventure.

Fancy Nancy is so much fun to read! The author has written her as such an adorable character you just can't wait to see what she is going to say next. I love her usage of french words and the illustrations are adorable! I don't think I would use this for an activity for the whole class because I'm not sure that little boys will be able to relate to it, but I will have it available to read in my classroom!

It’s a lovely story about Nancy preparing a great surprise for her mom. She prepares a spa day with face masks, hair dos, music, manicure, and pedicure, some magic tricks, healthy treats, magazines, cosmetics. Then Nancy started to do her mom’s hair she messes it up, Nancy was very upset so she called a professional to fix it. She did and then Nancy’s mom was ready for a perfect night out with her dad. A cute story to read to children especially girls, I think they’ll love it.

My 3 year old daughter picked this book out at the library and I have been reading it to her. It is so cute. I love Nancy's creativity. Afterwards my daughter kept saying "Ooh la la, beauty spa." She asked me to paint her nails and said "Mom, I want to be fancy." She wants to read more "Fancy" books.
