House of Secrets: Clash of the Worlds Audiobook Summary

The final book in the New York Times bestselling House of Secrets series that was called “a breakneck, jam-packed roller coaster of an adventure” by J. K. Rowling. Created by Hollywood director Chris Columbus (of Harry Potter fame) and bestselling author Ned Vizzini (It’s Kind of a Funny Story), with the acclaimed author of the Codename Zero series and the Fourth Stall saga, Chris Rylander.

With their last adventure just barely over, the Walker kids thought life would finally go back to normal. But things don’t remain calm for long . . . especially when the colossus Fat Jagger turns up in San Francisco Bay–and he’s in danger!

With the police closing in, the Walkers must figure out how to save their giant friend. When a frost beast is spotted in Santa Rosa–and more mystical creatures start appearing all over America–it’s soon clear that the characters from Denver Kristoff’s works are invading the real world. It’s up to Brendan, Eleanor, and Cordelia to reenter the book world one last time to keep the worlds from colliding, causing mass destruction.

They will have to track down three Worldkeepers hidden in Kristoff’s books–magical items that when used together will seal the worlds off for good. But the Walkers’ first move leads them straight into the Wild West, with lethal outlaws and lawless deputies–and that’s just the beginning. They’ll encounter dinosaurs, aliens, killer robots, and the Wind Witch herself–with new friends and old–and be faced with some of the deadliest choices they’ll ever have to make. The scariest thing of all could be deciding who to trust, since everyone is hiding something. . . .

An amazingly conclusion to marvelous little Trilogy about Secret Power of Books, Adventures, Heroism, Loyalty and Family Love.I can see it Epic Trilogy of Movies, mixing Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones, and much more Medieval revolutions, Fantastic Giant Beasts forests, World War(s) heroes & crazy Robotic Nazis, Aliens, Romans Gladiators and crazy Emperors, Snow Beasts and Tibet Monks, With real life different ages, resourceful Siblings in a family adventure battling in a Victorian magical House,House of a creepy cultic Novels Author. With this crazy Ending where his Books World Clashes with San Francisco, in the Real life World.Nope, it's not as I expected, with darker shades of Masonic Theme -the Bohemian Club mentioned in first book for the God's sake- yet it went totally Fantastical Clash. Thrilling, fast paced. Fun lines as usual and new different characters, with some surprisingly re -appearance of Book One characters, -yet alas the very cut off an important character of both Book one and two.Anyway, more detailed review coming, complete with photos.JUST give this trilogy a try.. u won't regret it if you believe in The Secret Power of The Novels World...Mohammed Arabeyfrom 11 Nov, 2016to 16 Nov. 2016

** spoiler alert ** Ugh.Ugh.UGH.THIS BOOK.I just can't give this book more than 4 stars. The first two were really good, and I had so much hope for this book. But it felt too forced and far fetched. They had SO many possibilities for the three books they got thrown into. And they picked the worst. Like, the whole alien thing was cheesy. (view spoiler)[ And I waited and waited and waited the WHOLE BOOK for Will Draper. And we got him. And he said two things and they hugged and he was GONE. They just completely forget about him! Not even, "Bye, Will, thanks for saving our skins like a billion times." Not even just "bye." (hide spoiler)]But, I mean, it wasn't the fault of the characters, and to be quite frank, I think it was the fault of Chris Rylander. None of these things that I didn't like in this book were in the first two, or if they were, just barely, and it wasn't enough to be a big deal. But the way this book was written was just...*facepalmfacepalmfacepalm*I'm so mad right now.

This book was amazing! It was the best of all the House of Secrets books. It was filled with adventure and so so enjoyable! I could not put it down. I wish there were another House of Secrets book even though I know this one is the last one in the series. I think that it is also a good continuation of the other two books.

It was actually hard to finish the last book of the series, but it was worth it. I enjoyed it a lot and it had a magor blot twist that I wasn't expecting to happen.

My name is Brendan, and the Wind Witch has opened a portal to Krystoff's books. The creatures from his imagination will soon invade our world if my sisters and I can't stop the witch, our great grandmother. Once again, the house has dropped us inside Krystoff's creative mind, but this time all of his books have come together as one. We've faced dinosaurs, Nazi soldiers, robots, and blue aliens, but we must still collect three artifacts hidden within the novels to close the portal forever. Unfortunately, this is forcing Cordelia, Eleanor, and I to separate in three directions. Things never work out well when we're apart. I've hooked up with an annoying alien who thinks he knows everything (which he does), but I now find myself trapped by a mummy in a pharaoh's tomb. I hope the girls are having better luck, but I fear their troubles may be even worse than mine. You should read the previous books in the series first, as this one concludes the trilogy. Clash of the Worlds has a focused quest for the siblings to complete but requires them to separate and travel to different settings. This results in the plot jumping to three different locations and becomes annoying at times. Some of the chapters are fairly short before skipping to a different plot and this makes the book tricky to follow, especially if you don't read it every day. The Wind Witch is still the main antagonist, and she has developed a connection to Cordelia, the oldest sibling. Cordelia is usually the most mature and knowledgeable character, but she's forced to take a backseat to her brother and sister. The witch can see through Cordelia's eyes, so this makes the siblings' planning trickier. The witch also has many hidden allies in the book worlds, so you need to be suspicious of every character the kids meet. Consequently, you can expect surprises, as Brendan and his sisters complete their quests to find the artifacts. The plot builds to a dramatic battle in the climax, so you'll enjoy this excitement. As allies become enemies and enemies become allies, you'll enjoy the conclusion to this three-book adventure!

In my opinion I really enjoyed this book. It was full of fun adventures, meeting new friends, and helping old friends just like the two other books were. I enjoy how it switches the third person perspective between what is happening to the three walker kids at a certain time. This really adds to the style of novel as a whole. This book however had one key element which I thought it needed more of, Will Draper. Will was one of the main characters in the past two novels in the series. He went through the same experience the Walker kids did and he was just as important to the plot. I feel that leaving him out as much as they did in clash of the worlds was a mistake. I was really disappointed since I have been supporting his character from the start. That was my only complaint from this novel otherwise it was really good and I would definitely recommend this book all teens who love lots of action and fantasy.

** spoiler alert ** I loved this book so much.I remember I started the first one in the series 2 years ago and I used to stay awake till 6 am to read it.Cordelia kind of reminded me of Hermione, as they are both smart and have high expectations. My personal favourite is the second in the series, but it was a pretty hard choice, because all of them are absolutely magical and full of dangerous adventures, I felt like I was there, with the Walker brothers and other characters of Denver's books not like I was reading a simple series.Even if the experience of reading this books was amazing, there is a thing that disappointed me:the fact that Will Draper wasn't present in the final book.He was one of my favourite characters and I wished he could come to San Francisco with the brothers, even if the two worlds were divided forever at the end.Anyway, I think him and Cordelia should've been endgame.

Another great book by Chris Columbus, but I would say less exciting than the last ones but I understand, that this book may be very interesting to other people but I was just simply not made for this book of the series. There were too many unimaginable things throughout the story and especially the final battle scenes where the two worlds meet, I think it was a climactic ending for a big story but too fictionalistic for me. It was still interesting to see what would happen though, and I'm assuming by how this story went this is the end of the series and I will not be able to read another great book by this author but I would like to say it was a pleasure and that the main characters are people who I'd like to become someday, powerful, fearless, and caring.#HISReads#Book-a-Week
