Innocent as Sin Audiobook Summary

Kayla Shaw is a smart and capable private banker in Arizona. Rand McCree is a haunted man painting landscapes in the Pacific Northwest, burning with a need for answers. They are two strangers with nothing in common–until their lives entwine . . . and explode.

Everything changes for Kayla as she barely escapes a kidnapping attempt and finds herself accused of a shocking crime: the illegal laundering of hundreds of millions of dollars. Damned by lies and false “evidence,” she is trapped. After five agonizing years, Rand has finally been offered the name of his twin brother’s murderer. Hungry for vengeance, he accepts a job with St. Kilda Consulting that will place him in the killer’s orbit . . . and tantalizingly close to Kayla Shaw, who has been targeted as the killer’s next victim. Since she can’t turn to the police, who believe she’s guilty as sin, she must place her life in Rand McCree’s hands.

Suspicious of one another, needing one another, they are two against the world as the violence of the past erupts in the present. And now innocence alone will not be enough to keep Kayla Shaw alive . . .

Back at St kilda's consulting. Really good action storyline. As someone who works in financial services I found the banking aspect pretty interesting but that might not be everyone's cup of tea - I'm a dork. Less emphasis on the heat and romance but I was okay with that.

The Kilda series was almost as good as the Rarities but maybe since I read the Rarities books first I like them a little better. This is still a great series. Always entertaining to read another book by this author who is one of my all time favorites, especially in the romance genre.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. As always there is romance, action and a touch of humour to lighten it up. My 2nd read after a few years and still as good as the first time.

** spoiler alert ** Another exciting addition to my Elizabeth Lowell's St. Kilda Consulting library.Five years ago Rand McCree and his twin brother Reed were working as contractors for St. Kilda Consulting, tracking down evidence about a gun-runner called "The Siberian" and Reed was murdered.St. Kilda doesn't take kindly to their operatives be killed, so they have been trying to put a name to and track down "The Siberian" ever since. Now, they thing they have him and they offer Rand a chance to take part.Kayla Shaw, a private banker, is really starting to hate her job and a particular client. And now that she has sold her family home, maybe it's time to move on. But, right now she's an appointment with said client. But, there is more to the client than she thought and he's trapped her into committing a crime to get what he wants.St. Kilda is aware of Kayla, they're just not sure how complicit she is. But, once they decide she isn't and she joins their side, they need to decide what they can do to stop "The Siberian".

Elizabeth Lowell writes suspense that reels you in and doesn't let go until the very end. Her books are captivating and I've never been disappointed in any of her books that I've read. If you like danger, suspense, twists & turns, romance but with emphasis on suspense, and definitely a page turner author.Kayla is a private banker and suddenly finds herself in danger. Someone tries to kidnap her. Then she is accused of money laundering. Now she has the police looking for her and the ones who framed her. Now she has a contract out on her. Her path crosses with Rand. He's an artist and his brother was murdered. In his search for the killers, his steps cross with Kayla. Can't reveal anymore without revealing too much. Needless to say, I had a hard time putting it down. Definitely 5 stars.I won this book in a contest. No one asked me to leave this review. All opinions are my own. My apologies to the author for the delay in leaving the review. My computer was in the shop for two weeks.

Kayla Shaw is a private banker in Arizona. Underpaid and underappreciated. Rand McCree is a haunted man who paints in the Pacific Northwest. Two strangers with nothing in common until their lives entwine. On what appears to be anordinary day Kayla barely escapes a kidnapping and then findsherself falsely accused of laundering hundreds of millions of dollars. After five years Rand finally has been offeredwhat he wants. The name of his twin brothers killer. Hungryfor vengeance he accepts a job with St Kilda Consultingthat's going to place him right next to Kayla. The killer who murdered his brother has targeted Kayla as the next victim. She can't go to the police so she must place her life in the hands of Rand Mcree. This is book three in the St Kilda series and another fine page turner from Elizabeth Lowell.

Great story, well written and entertaining; Elizabeth Lowell hits a home run again. Kayla is a personal banker that gets in over her head in a situation that is way beyond her control. Rand is a man living in torment over the murder of his indentical twin brother. When Kayla is blackmailed by the man that killed Rand's brother, the two must join forces to try to save Kayla and avenge Rand's brother's death...but things don't always go as planned.I loved the romance, the reoccuring characters from previous Lowell books and the action. Lowell is wonderful at weaving the story together seemlessly. This was the second time I'd read Innocent As Sin, and I doubt it'll be the last!

Elizabeth Lowell's books combine the arts with the private mercernary types of St. Kildas Consulting. In this installment, Kayla Shaw, an international banker discovers that her client is illegally laundering money through her band and setting her up to take the fall. She becomes involved with Rand McCree, an artist and operative who is hautned by his twin's death during a St. Kildas job 5 years earlier. It is an action packed ride to the end to bring down the bad guy and keep Kayla alive. This is a very fast read. I liked it better than her last book, "The Wrong Hostage".

I loved this book!!!! Loving the series... this one was better (in my opinion) because we caught up on how Grace and Joe were going from the last book...I loved Rand and Kayla... Ms. Lowell has a special talent of putting comedy into her romantic suspense books. Some parts make you want to shout in outrage, cry in sympathy or laugh with the characters. Just like you were in the room with them. When reading, it's a fantastic feeling to be sucked into the plot, like you yourself we're also a character.Eagerly onto the next in the series.
