Into the Fire Audiobook Summary

In the explosive finale to New York Times bestselling author Jeaniene Frost’s Night Prince series, Vlad is in danger of losing his bride to an enemy whose powers might prove greater than the Prince of Vampires’ . . .In the wrong hands, love can be a deadly weapon

For nearly six hundred years, Vlad Tepesh cared for nothing, so he had nothing to lose. His brutal reputation ensured that all but the most foolhardy stayed away. Now, falling in love with Leila has put him at the mercy of his passions. And one adversary has found a devastating way to use Vlad’s new bride against him.

A powerful spell links Leila to the necromancer Mircea. If he suffers or dies, so does she. Magic is forbidden to vampires, so Vlad and Leila enlist an unlikely guide as they search for a way to break the spell. But an ancient enemy lies in wait, capable of turning Vlad and Leila’s closest friends against them . . . and finally tearing the lovers apart forever.

Okay so I don't have a ton of time and I have been dealing with health issues lately. I haven't been feeling like writing super long reviews so I'm going to keep this short and to the point. I love Vlad and Leila. However this book was a bit slow at times. I would have liked more romantic time between Leila and Vlad. Still I really enjoyed this book. I really hope that Leila's sister gets a book. I know this was the last book in Leila and Vlad's love story but I felt it left things a bit open. Were Bones and Cat's last book felt like an ending this one felt like there was more missing. I can't wait to read Ian's book! The custom funko pops of Vlad and Leila I made

➦Ok, so. The question that bugs me the most after reading this book is this one: what's the optimal speed at which Vlad can fly? ➦Because, you know, sometimes he flies a chopper instead of just using his "gift" which makes me believe that he's slower than the chopper. ➦But then there are times when he flies out of an exploding building right before it goes boom. That has to be pretty fast, right? You now understand my confusion. But that's neither here nor there.➦Either way, I have enjoyed this series thoroughly and, even though I've read the first 3 books back to back and had to wait for this 4th installment for what seems like FOREVER, I still remembered most of the plot, which made me VERRA happy. Because that just goes to show how original this story and its characters are. ➦I really recommend this to anyone who loves PNR with vampires- the hero is this is a badass vamp- and anything to do with special magical abilities, spells and other similar kind of SHTUFF. You know the one. This series is action packed, has some steam, angst and even fun banter. I laughed and I even cried a little at the end.

3.5-4 stars "It appears you're right --- I simply can't go an entire day without murdering someone.” Gosh I wanted to love this book so bad, the first three books in the series were amazing, and while this one was enjoyable.... I merely liked it instead of loved it. I remember getting a newsletter about Frost's family, I felt so much for this author. Her mom dying then repeated issues with her dad's health, that's more than anyone should have to take in. Knowing this, as a true fan would do, I understood and knew she needed to take her time to write this book and I think the wait was worth it. (FYI, this is all mentioned in an introduction of the book as well).I had to reread the entire series before picking up this final book, as I had picked it up and by page 3 I was terribly lost. Hence an epic reread of some of the best PNR there is. No author has the voice that Frost has. So much witty humor and so much emotion packed into her books. There's a reason I'll read anything she publishes. This fourth novel involves Vlad and Leila working to destroy the link between her and a powerful necromancer. Their bodies and lives are tied together, so if one of them dies, the other does too. But finding the necromancer proves to be more difficult than anticipated. My favorite part of this book was the crossover of the character Ian. That man no doubt was the best part, bringing endless comic relief and making me laugh my ass off out loud in public. I swear this man needs his own spin off-ASAP!The flawed aspect of this book is it's almost information overload and focuses more on action than the romance and relationship between Leila and Vlad. I can understand why fans were let down by this book. The Night Prince series is one you must read! Look past the god awful covers and you'll discover one of your favorite romance couples!Follow me on ♥ Facebook ♥ Blog ♥ Instagram ♥ Twitter ♥

Reread September 2021: And I'm done with my third reread of this whole series! This was a much more enjoyable experience this third time around. I knew what I was going into and I knew from the last reread that I was guaranteed to like it. Vlad seems to have become a fungus because he did grow on me it seems. I actually want more books featuring Vlad and Leila in the future if I'm being honest!_______________________Update After Reread August 2020: I was really harsh on this novel for some odd reason. This wasn't nearly as bad as I made it out to be in this review and I'm sorry for what I said. Vlad is still domineering but he kind of got better as the novels progressed. Gretchen is nowhere near as annoying as I made her out to be in this review. I had forgotten what character dies in this book and it still hit a sore spot. Ian's raunchy humor was an amazing part of this book! Overall, I'm glad I gave this series a second chance so many years down the line! My Updated Rating: 4 Stars_______________________Originally posted at: I had no expectations when I started this novel and that helped this book somewhat. Maybe it was me, but almost everyone (especially Vlad and Leila) came off as annoying and dramatic. The only saving grace was Ian's raunchy humor, but the author found a way to ruin that too.I despised Leila this time around. All the secrets and the drama finally caught up to me and at one point I wished she would die just to get it over with. Her sister Gretchen was also very irritating and seemed to be there just to add more drama on top of everything. Vlad was still too domineering and I still don't understand why all the secrecy. He and Leila seemed to have no chemistry. I don't care enough about him as a character to bother getting angry. What got my emotions high was what happened to Ian. WTF was that about? He was one of the few characters that were actually entertaining in this book and he gets that for trying to help? (view spoiler)[**SPOILER**This is a conspiracy theory of mine: I sincerely HOPE that Veritas isn't Ian's love interest in his story. I do intend to read Ian's story to see who he ends up with and how he stays alive.**END OF SPOILER** (hide spoiler)]The ending didn't do anything for me either. People died and cliché things happened. Vlad and Leila were happy once more and everything was right in their precious little world while Ian suffers the consequences to Vlad's actions. The Audio Book:I adored the narrator. Tavia Gilbert is incredible. I loved her realistic screams and crying dialogue. This is the first audio book that I listened to that felt like I was almost listening to a movie because of how realistic everything seemed. She also had a large range of male voices which helped me differentiate who was talking without it being specified. Tavia Gilbert was this book's saving grace. My Rating: 2 Stars["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Update #3: 6/23/2016Just found out that the "new" release date us February 28, 2017.Thanks. Just thanks.Update #2: 10/26/2015I call bullcrap! October 25, 2016 is NOT considered "summer 2016" I'm pretty sure that falls in well, Fall. So, basically I can lift the hiatus in 365 days from now because 2016 is a leap year.Update #1: 9/25/2015Is that...a... title?? and a 'round the ballpark release date?Plz tell me this is the last book!!!don't lie to me again.Original: 1/5/2015The f*ck!!?!?!I've held not reading Once Burned and Twice Tempted AND Up From the Grave for the sole reason that the last book of Vlad, Bound by Flames, would come out and I can read in peace knowing it was all OVER... and now...ARGH!!!!Screw you for messing my 2015 TBR pile...BLEHbtw, the reason I'm annoyed is because I seem to be reading unreliable authors...ugh. finish your damn series (Julie Kagawa) dont start new ones. I need a schedule. No ambiguity "it might come out THIS year" bullcrap.*stomps away in frustration* authors these days!

5 I CAN NOT BELIEVE IT’S OVER STARS!!!!Into the Fire is the last book in the Night Prince series. I seriously hope Jeaniene frost writes a spin-off series off of this spin-off series because I have crazy love for some of the characters, more on that later.I didn’t really know anything about this series, but four days later I read the entire series back-to-back and I am happy and sad for the final book. I could have read Vlad and Leila forever and something tells me this isn’t the true end. I hope to get little glimpses of them in future books.I felt like each book in the series was really different and it’s no surprise the final book was a little different too. At least in my opinion. Whereas the first books focused on the vampire world, I felt like this one focused on the magical world and I couldn’t be happier about that.Into the Fire was fun, refreshing and I love the strong bond and relationship between Vlad and Leila. They are the unstoppable and unbreakable couple. YAY! We know that Lelia is linked to the necromancer Mircea. If Mircea dies then Lelia dies. If Mircea get hurt so does Lelia. Vlad is doing everything and everything possible to capture Micrea and have him imprisoned in his dungeon until they can break the spell. What I love best about this book is VLAD!!!! I know, no surprise here, but that man just melts my heart. Flames and all. As I said before Vlad will stop at NOTHING to protect Leila. Swoon eyes right? The other part of the book I love is the side characters. I love the friends, the relatives and best friends. I want each of them to have his and her own book. I simply just want more. Into the Fire will suck you in. From the first page you will not put it down, just like EVERY book in this series. I’m so surprised that the author can maintain the pace and momentum, but she does and that is why I LOVE this book and this series so much. I know a lot of fans have waited a long time for this one and I can tell you this. You will not be disappointed!!!!As for the next spin-off series, I kind of want (view spoiler)[Gretchen and Maximus to have their own story. Didn’t you feel like there was a love connection?!!!! I loved him from the first book, I SUPER loved him in the last book and I love him in this book. PLEASE GIVE ME this book!!!! This was great.Once more Jeaniene Frost has done it. She consistently writes incredible urban fantasy romance. With this book she kept me engaged from beginning to end. It can't be denied that she knows how to entertain. She gives the perfect balance between action and meaningful love which, in my opinion and experience, seems to be really difficult to find.I can't wait for her next series.P.S.: I think that the covers in these series of books devalue the story. I don't think those are fitting here.

Into the Fire is the fourth installment in the amazing Jeaniene Frost's paranormal romance/urban fantasy series titled: Night Prince. For fans of her Night Huntress collection, this spin-off series has been quite the treat. We still get to see most of our favorite characters in a new setting which keeps things lively and fresh. Into the Fire offers Vlad in all his severity which was a welcomed change from the surprising but nonpreferred softness in a few of the others. Vlad's love interest (and wife): Leila keeps growing and growing in her strength which again is a very welcomed addition. As you can tell, I am thoroughly enjoying staying in this engaging world Ms. Frost has so generously created. If you enjoy these genres, I recommend starting from the very beginning. You don't have to though. You can read this series on its own and be fine. Either way, check it out!My favorite quote:“There’s more to all of us. Yet most times, we still only see what we expect to see.”Into the Fire falls into this urban fantasy world as noted below: Night Huntress (2007-2014)0.5-Reckoning1-Halfway to the Grave1.5-Happily Never After2-One Foot in the Grave2.5-Weddings from Hell3-At Grave's End3.5-Devil to Pay4-Destined for an Early Grave4.5-One For the Money5-This Side of the Grave6-One Grave at a Time6.5-Home for the Holidays7-Up from the Grave7.5-Outtakes from the Grave Night Huntress World (Spinoff, 2010-present)1-First Drop of Crimson2-Eternal Kiss of Darkness Night Prince (Spinoff, 2012-present)1-Once Burned2-Twice Tempted3-Bound by Flames4-**Into the Fire**

Been meaning to get around to this book like forever.I have had a copy on my kindle now for well over a year but wanted to reread the rest of the series before embarking on this final instalment.Well after finally getting around to rereading and then onto this all I can say was it was definitely worth the wait and I really did adore everything about this.Slightly sad to be leaving Vlad and Leila behind now but also ever so glad that the conclusion here to there epic love story and adventure together lived up to all my expectations, and they sure were huge folks.I believe I have mentioned that this is one of my top vampire romance series ever so was crossing my fingers and toes that this last book would be worthy and it was.So this was action-packed from page one it really was non-stop throughout. This was such an integral part to Vlad and Leila's onward journey as they undertake the massive feat of attempting to break the spell that is metaphorically holding an axe over both their heads.Vlad is using all his many wiles to extract them both from the predicament they currently find themselves in and he will do and sacrifice anything or anybody to save his beloved Leila she is his whole world. This book was equal parts amusing but also then heart-wrenching it really was a satisfying conclusion to this ongoing saga.As I said earlier I am sad to be saying goodbye to these two, but do also hope to catch future cameos of them again in future books set in this world. Also looking forward to getting to know Ian better, he does intrigue me and After the way, his hand evolved here should be an interesting ride. This was a fantastic series that I highly recommend a five-star experience all the way.Reviewed By Beckie Bookwormhttps://www.facebook.com/beckiebookworm/www.beckiebookworm.com

4.5 stars for this one. I absolutely love Jeaniene Frosts' writing and the world that she has created. This is the conclusion to Vlad and Leilas story. There is a lot going on in this one and it is filled with a cast of characters we have come to love.

So, we've come to the last book in the Night Prince series, I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand I have loved this series so far and am sad to see it end. On the other hand, it's ending on a high, with a big bang rather than a relieved sigh.

I loved this! Lots of action, lots of turmoil, lost hawt Vlad being is typical Alpha male self. The audio of this is absolutely fabulous. The narrator did an awesome job bringing each character to life. Totally helped to keep me engaged to the story because the beginning it took me a few chapters to remember exactly what was going on since it has been a while since the last book was released. Once going over the hurdle it was easy to stay engaged throughout. Ian is hilariously charming and witty. He made me laugh so much and I was happy to see more of him in this book. Very much excited to get his story and get to know the man underneath the easy going demeanor he puts off.

4 StarsGood ending to a great series. I would have liked something MORE to happen between Vlad and Leila, but I still enjoyed it nonetheless. Safety: SafeNo ow/om drama- although Vlad is kissed by Ian (Hero in the next book). He didn't like it or anything thoughNo sharing/cheating ⬆No separation

Classic Frost. This was good. I'm not a huge Vlad fan, so I waited a while to read this one. I liked him in Cat and Bones, but not in his own series so much.I am thrilled Ian might get his own book. I've always liked him. I missed getting even a glimpse of Cat and Bones. Then again they might have taken over the show.I do think Laila let Vlad off too easily on some of the things he did. I also didn't get worried about their impending danger though some character did do a Game of Thrones exit in this story.Oh Ian, I feel so awful for him. I wonder where Gretchen will show up. Overall, I'm excited for this franchise even though this series is over.

Can I give 1,000,000,000 stars? As the going says, all good things must come to an end. But What. An. Ending!I waited for almost a year to read this book from when it was published because I was not ready to say goodbye to Leila and Vlad. The only couple to measure up to Bones and Cat. There is not one single thing I do not love about these characters. They are so rounded, but also so clearly etched in who they are.Anyway, this last chapter in the series surpassed all the other, in my opinion. It was fast paced, romance-laden, dynamic, and it pulled at all my feelings. It was pure perfection.Leila and Vlad's relationship is stronger than every, devoid of all the doubts of the first two books. They are an item, they would die for each other, as they prove more than once in this book.I am absolutely amazed at the gem that Frost produced with this one. Out of all the magical creatures in her world, faes, demons and witches are my least favorites. I'm a sucker for vampires and ghouls. So when at first the focus was on mainly magic I was like: "mmmmh". But then Ian came into the picture, bringing his usual comical relief, and the scenes started rolling like in an action, fantasy movie and I was 100% digging it. There were indeed some hilarious scenesconcerning physical metamorphosis and Ian. Ian sighed. "Always straight to business. how you stand it, poppet, I'll never know, but I suspect that fiery tongue has something to do with it. Ah, he's giving me that I'll-kill-you glare again. How many times must I tell you not to kill anyone tonight? It's like a sickness with you, isn't it? Have you ever gone a whole day without committing murder? *** Ian gave me an aggravated look. "Can't shag your sister, can't shag your friend, can't shag you, can't shag Vlad. If I wanted to be this sexless and miserable I'd get married." Something I adored about this book, which was not as present in the other instalments, is how much we get to see Vlad's vulnerable side. Leila's life has never been more in danger and this gave Frost a chance to show us all how deeply Vlad cares about her. How desperate he can get when the love of his undead existence is threatened. Vlad was the character that most revealed himself in this book. He had always been rounded, but because of his naturally guarded personality, it had always felt like he'd been holding back something. Well, in this book he gives it his all.I will not go into the details of the narration. What I will say is that it was full of twists and turns, with more than one enemy and enough secrets and plot twists to make you gasp. I was flabbergasted at a certain point!!! As for the writing style, it was as usual amazingly written. Witty, fast-paced, on point.PS.: Vlad and Leila are also hot as hell! As if we could expect anything but by Mr Tepesh, the pyrokinetic. "That's love for you," I head Ian say. "Glad I'm too corrupt to fall victim to that form of intelligence lobotomy.""I hope you fall head over heels for someone who insists on monogamy." And this is exactly what I hope for Ian's book, which will be the next spin-off. At first I hadn't been convinced about Veritas. I never liked the Law Guardians, they always seemed too stiff and uptight. But seeing her in this books, and realizing she may not be exactly what she seems makes me curious about her.
