Of all the “spooky” Minnie and Moo books, this is the least scary but still cute.

22 Minnie and Moo and the Haunted Sweater tells of the debacle that occurs when the sheep and the chickens run into each other as Minnie and Moo are headed to the farmhouse to leave the farmer his birthday present. In an effort to undo the pile-up they made AND as a solution to what to give the farmer for his birthday, Moo knits a sweater, but accidently knits the rooster, Elvis, into the sweater. The story is predictable, as they should be for this age group, and is well supported by the pictures. The words repeat themselves, but not in such a way that the reader gets bored and the compound words are well used. The story does this while remaining fun, enjoyable and interesting.
