Another great book (and the audio edition is excellent -except for Mary's voice). The twist at the end was brilliant. The characterization was excellent. And the plot kept me highly engaged.

I really enjoyed this book. Legal thrillers are probably my favorite anyway, but this particular one was great. I have loved all of Scottoline's books that I've read so far and I'm looking forward to reading the remaining books in this series. The plot in this one was fast moving and there were several twists and turns. Could hardly quick reading when I got started. I will be moving on to "Moment of Truth" next.

This was a really good book. I had not read this series before but know the author well from her stand alone books. A lawyer has to defend her identical twin sister in a murder trial. The catch is that she had no clue she had a twin. Great drama and a good example of all is not always happy ever after.

** spoiler alert ** I enjoyed this book. It wasn’t my favorite but I still enjoyed it. I wish Alice had stayed and things could have ended differently. I didn’t like who ended up being the murderer. Should have been left how it was in theory.

Fast-paced funGripping storytelling...the suspense is immediate and never lets up. Loved the characters—even the minor ones (with the exception of the main character’s boyfriend who gets short shrift). The ending has a great twist that is both creepy and satisfying!

MISTAKEN IDENTITY book 4 in the Rosato & Associates series introduces Bennie to her identical twin Alice, whom the lawyer just learns about. Alice, charged with killing her cop boyfriend, needs a new lawyer, someone as good as Bennie who isn’t certain of her sister’s innocence.I’m a sucker for twins and Lisa Scottoline had me hooked from the start. I wanted a long lost twins find each other and bond story, but Scottoline had other ideas. Abrasive, amoral Alice has no interest in being chummy with her sister and on this issue Bennie agrees. MISTAKEN IDENTITY is a worthy read with above average narration from Kate Burton.

This is an interesting story about twins-the good one and the bad one. In this story, Bennie Rosato, is asked to defend a woman accused of murdering her lover. The problem is that the accused killer may be Bennie's twin. As in the past, the story centers on corrupt policemen, as Bennie and her all female law firm, rush to develop the case for Alice Connolly. The story has the ups and downs of a rollercoaster, as Bennie's mother dies, and as Bennie's father enteres her life. The huge question is what constitutes family. Bennie must decide at the end of the book, as well as the reader. Grady, Bennie's boyfriend, states "Who's your family? Family is who you feel close to, who you love, and who loves you in return. Gives to you. You aren't stuck with the family you're born with. At some point, you grow up and choose your family, Bennie. You make it." At the end of the novel, Scottoline acknowledges that she discovered when she was 30, the existence of a half sister. That knowledge is the basis for this book. Scottoline does a good job with this topic.
