The class is having a talent show and AJ doesn’t know what to do. His talents really aren’t things he can do in a classroom. He signs up last hoping to think of something. It’s his teacher who recognizes his talent. (Karen's review)

My 2nd grader thought this book was very funny. I think the protagonist is a pain in the neck. I am however excited that he enjoyed it so much he wanted to read it to me which is why I gave it a four star review.

I haven't read any of the weird school books, but if they're all like this, I get why they're so popular! Any kid who struggles with reading and starts a story with "My name is A.J. and I hate school" is going to read until the end.
