Otter: Hello, Sea Friends! audiobook

Wonderful addition to the I Can Read Family. Sam Garton's illustrations are just terrific. Very child friendly and warm.

My favorite Otter turns up this time in a "Shared Reading" book in the "I Can Read!" series for 4-7 year olds. Otter Keeper and Otter travel to a zoo to learn about animals that live in the sea. On the way out, they stop by the gift shop and pick out a toy to take home...exactly the one I would have picked. I may have to check to see if I have Otter DNA.

Otter and Teddy spend a day at the aquarium with Otter Keeper, and they have lots of fun seeing the animals. A cute story for emerging readers with simple language, word repetition, and adorable illustrations. Great for sea animal themes and suitable for ages 4 to 8.

The illustrations are just too cute and you can't help but be drawn into the book. This is a great pre-level early reader. The sentences are brief, easy words and sight words. The story follows Otter and the Keeper on a trip to the aquarium and all the sea animals he finds there. It would be a great summer read to bring a little learning along with a trip to the local aquarium.

Well, it's getting so my husband just adds the latest Otter book to his Amazon order, since he knows that will make me happy. And he's right: this book is just as charming and as adorable as the previous books. Having been to several aquariums myself (and had many a small child trailing in my wake), Otter has mirrored exactly my experiences. Although it was a camera lens cap I dropped in the turtle enclosure, not Teddy in the penguin enclosure, mercifully, since I could get my (endlessly embarrassed) husband (we all know him) to retrieve it without the help of aquarium staff. (Otter is able to recover just fine, hooray!) As always, the illustrations are delightful, and since I've spent a bit of time looking at author Sam Garton's work, I can say that the fish are reminiscent of some of his early work (if I have to say something new with this review, I'm going for "art critic" voice). I do hope I'll be able to keep this original copy, since it's all nice and lovely, instead of having to hand it off to the next child I see because I have to pretend I'm all nice and benevolent when really I'm selfish and want to keep it all to myself.

Both sisters loved Otter's visit to the Aquarium as they themselves had a visit to the Aquarium just few days ago. They kept asking why the otter didn't see the Sting ray. They loved sting ray.

This is a sweet book. Otter Keeper takes Teddy and I on a trip to visit the sea friends. Very good story. It is short enough for a kindergartner to read.

My favorite part is when otter go’s to the gift shop.
