Teddy Walsh is the narrator of Pete the Cat and His Magic Sunglasses audiobook that was written by James Dean
James Dean is the original creator and illustrator of Pete the Cat. He is a self-taught artist originally from Fort Payne, Alabama. His passion for drawing became apparent at a young age, and as a child, you could find James drawing his favorite characters like Snoopy and Yogi Bear.
James earned his degree in electrical engineering from Auburn University and went on to work for Georgia Power for a number of years. Eventually, he was called to pursue his art full-time and began selling his work at art festivals around the Southeast.
It was during this time that he began creating paintings and drawing of his cat, Pete. The little blue cat showed up as a character in James’s artwork around 1999 and has been a permanent fixture ever since.
James Dean’s art has been sold in more than ninety galleries and shops across the United States. He has devoted his paintings to Pete the Cat for fifteen years and turned his natural love for cats into his life’s work. James published his first book, The Misadventures of Pete the Cat, a history of his artwork, in 2006, and he illustrated his first self-published children’s book, Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes, in 2008. There are now almost 100 published Pete the Cat titles with more coming out all the time.
James is humbled every day by the success that this groovy blue cat has brought him. He says positively affecting children’s lives is his number one priority, and he is grateful to have such an amazing audience to work for.

Read for my toddler’s nap time. Pete the Cat was feeling unhappy because of the rain. Grumpy somebody came along and he was not his usual grumpy self. He said it’s because of the magic glasses. So Pete wore it and instantly felt better. He then let other animals who was not having a good day to wear it and they instantly felt better too. But then his glasses breaks.. Read from kindle unlimited.

That is, until Grumpy Toad shows him his cool, blue magic sunglasses, and suddenly everything is all right again. Pete the Cat shows all the other animals that their bad days can be changed just by putting on the sunglasses, too. But what will happen when the sunglasses break? Pete's latest adventure proves quite uplifting and contains all of the catchy repetition that readers have come to expect. The illustrations work very well with the text as the background turns from blue to bright, sunny orange as each character tries on the glasses. I read this book at Storytime today at the Library and it's just the cutest! I love how it reiterates to always look at the good in any day :)

And yet another Pete the Cat book that does not dissapoint. This story is a WOW book for me because it teaches such a wonderful lesson for kids on how we view things in life. The friend who was always grumpy shared his magical sunglasses that helped him see things in a more positive light and one day Pete needed those glasses. He was sad and grumpy! I love how he shared these magical sunglasses with his friends to brighten their day, this is something that we could use with showing our kids how to be friendly to one another. And then when he was upset that his "magical" sunglasses were broke the owl shared some wise words. I love how the message teaches kids to look at the great things around you each day, even when things seem to be gray there is always something that can brighten your day!WOW BOOK FOR SURE :) I just LOVE Pete the Cat!

Pete's got the blue cat blues. When his friend Grumpy Toad gives him some cool blue glasses, everything looks a little better and brighter. Pete helps each of his friends and lets them borrow the glasses, too, to help each of them feel better about their rough day. But when the glasses break, can Pete still be happy and see the good things around him? A cute story and a nice lesson that sometimes we have to look for the happy things around us when life doesn't go our way. Very good!

Best storytime book ever!!!! You can always count on Pete the Cat to make the children smile and laugh. Kids love the story and enjoy singing along to all his books. Have them chime in-"did Pete cry?"..."goodness no!!"
