Rogue Forces Audiobook Summary

“Brown is excellent.”

San Francisco Chronicle

Dale Brown, whose books live on the New York Times bestseller list–alongside the novels of Vince Flynn, Brad Thor, and other superstars of the military adventure genre–triumphs again with Rogue Forces. A riveting and relentlessly exciting thriller, Rogue Forces explores a timely and important question in this age of Blackwell and Halliburton: What would happen if the Army’s private security contractors became uncontrollably powerful? Brown’s popular character, Patrick McLanahan, is going Rogue in this chillingly plausible adventure that further solidifies Dale Brown’s reputation as “the best military writer in the country” (Clive Cussler).

another fantastic read Mr. Brown!OMG...what to say - this book goes Mach 2 with it”s tail on fire! Shows voters again how inept politicians are in the USA... and around the world!Keep up the great writing about heroes... even if they hardly exist anymore; or in this case are fictional!

I love a rip-roaring good war yarn, and this is one. The plot could be in the current headlines, i.e. the Middle East and crazy terrorists. Good characters, fast pace, great villains, high tech war gear - it’s all here. I mostly read for entertainment and this is the kind of book that delivers.

Interesting book, but the idea of a somewhat over funded defense contractor with ultra-sophisticated equipment not available to the military operating on the very edge of legality just did not resonant. Otherwise, the action was great and the plausibility of the actual scenario was fascinating. Good read.

I have been a fan of Dale Brown novels for quite some time. This is a continuation of the novel stream with Patrick S. McLanahan as the main protagonist. Fast moving with some intrigue but fairly easy to identify the white hates from the black hats. Set to modern time and pretty accurate historically in its background. You can read this book out of order and still track what is going on.

i haven't read any of Dale Brown's books for awhile. I have read probably 80% of his books and love his stories. I had a hard time putting this one down. I am now going back to read the three books written just in front of this one. Lt. Gen. USAF Ret, Patrick McLanahan and ex-President Kevin Martindale keep the stories continuing and flowing.

Another good book by Dale Brown. It is a continuation of a long series of characters for him that I am just getting back into. The story keeps up a nice pace and is fun to read. There are just enough plot twists to keep the entire story from being to predictable.

Not too far fetched considering the volatility of the Kurd situation.

a good read as I have found most of Dale's stories to be . . just thought the ending was a little quick , I was expecting another chapter and all you get is a few paragraph epilogue.

I thought this was a good story. Some of the history from past books escaped me, so a few of the references and character animosity were lost on me.
