Seekers #5: Fire in the Sky Audiobook Summary

The spirits dance like fire in the sky. . . .

The three cubs–Kallik, Toklo, and Lusa–along with their shape-shifting companion, Ujurak, stand on the edge of the sea-ice under the blazing Northern Lights. The land has come to an end, but the bears’ journey is far from over. Now they must put their trust in Kallik’s paws, as she feels the ice pulling her out toward the ocean.

Life on the ice is more difficult than the bears imagined. While Kallik struggles to remember her polar bear roots, Toklo bristles in the unfamiliar territory and Lusa gets weaker by the day; black and brown bears don’t belong on the ice. Meanwhile, Ujurak learns firsthand what lurks beneath the whorls and bubbles of the ice, and what he discovers will change everything.

Just when it seems like they’ll never survive in the frozen wilderness, a mystical encounter with a bear spirit assures them that all will be well. But this strange vision leads to even more questions, and ultimately it might tear the bears apart–this time for good–as the next steps of their journey come into focus.

The fifth book in the series Seekers, was really good, clearly a built up for final book but was more enjoyable than the fourth book before it! It’s left me excited for the last book and the characters have become even more memorable and loveable! Would recommend but you definitely need to have read the first four books for it to make sense! 5/5

I do quite enjoy seekers. This one though just felt a bit slower than the rest. I know there wasnt a major story for Toklo in this one but sometimes I feel a small spark between him and Lusa. It's cute.

This book had a lot of character build up. The characters were always there for each other and never let anything stop them. Sometimes they had to go they're own way, then they couldn't go on without knowing if they were okay. I love how they need each other to finish they're journey. Love it!

** spoiler alert ** The four bear cubs, Kallik a white bear, Toklo and Ujurak brown bears, and Lusa a black bear have found the place Ujurak has dreamed of so they thought. When Ujurak says they have to venture out to into Kalllik’s home on the ice they set off again to a place no one knows. Its dangerous on the ice and only Kallik can protect them. I would recommend this books or series to anyone that likes adventure, and bears.
