Splat the Cat is a fun series of books for early and advanced readers. My son enjoyed this book and it challenged him to sound out more words and practice new words. The story was funny and he enjoyed that as well.

Splat the Cat is having his first camping experience out in his backyard. He was really excited to go camping until he opened the tent to find Spike and Plank. Splat does not like Spike, but his mother told him to spend sometime with him and maybe they could be friends. It is cute, funny, and a pretty good read. Reommend for early readers, K throught 2nd grade. Published 2011.

This was an easy read but I felt there were some things that my son didn't quite get such as what the characters were feeling. Example, he didn't catch on that Spike wasn't being very nice. He didn't understand why Splat said he doesn't like Spike. To him it was just a book about three friends camping and having silly things happen to them.

This one is not my favorite Splat the Cat book. The writing and the overall story are not as strong (or as funny) as some of the other ones. The illustrations, however, are still flat-out perfection. Any humor missing in the text can be found in the artwork. Actual rating: 3.5 stars, but I round up.

I like books that have cats in it. Splat is the main character in this book. He is a cat. In the story good night sleep tight Splat gets ready to camp under the moonlight. His friends join him on the adventure.

I really liked it.I like the part where he went out camping with his sister and sister's friend. I like the part where the sister's friend hided and they had to find him.
