They don’t know it’s spaghetti, they think it’s a new form of rope. Once they figure out it’s spaghetti they need to find more. As all dogs are always hungry. I love the series, Stick Dog is so patient with his friends and I love how he helps his friends.

Stick Dog Slurps Spaghetti, by Tom Watson, is about Stick Dog and his friends finding spaghetti then wanting more because they think it’s so good. In my opinion this book is descent. I recommend this book to all kids.

Well, first of all it was a very cute and funny book about a group of dogs that go on an epic journey to taste the delightfully delicious spaghetti and meatballs. I give this book 4 stars. It did get a little boring at times, but the end was so good I could of read it like, 10 times. I recommend this book to dog lovers everywhere or just people who want a bit of humor in their day. In “Stick Dog Slurps Spaghetti” by Tom Watson. Most dogs live indoors with their owners, but some are not as fortunate to have owners. Some dogs live outside scavenging for food, but then there is Stick Dog and his friends who love to have fun while looking for food. This book tells the story of Stick Dog and his friends as they search for food and come upon spaghetti. They spend the book looking for where the mysterious food they have never tasted comes from. In this book, the authors style is the use of a lot of dialogue. For example on page 81, it says “ “what is it stripes” “ this whole hot air ballon thing” She said. “Yes, what about it” “ I was wondering if it could be one of those really cool striped balloons”” most of this whole entire page is dialogue which shows that the author likes to show exactly what the characters are saying. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes Clifford but cannot read Clifford in class. This is a good substitute for any dog lover that would like a good book with detailed drawings.

Stick Dog and his canine pals get a slurp of spaghetti and immediately form a quest to find MORE. The spaghetti restaurant appears to be on the top of a hill. That seems way too far to walk, so the dogs start brainstorming methods to get to the top of the hill and obtaining the tasty meal.As I was reading this I was reminded of the Pickwick Society. Ok, yes, the target readers are pretty much at opposite ends of the reading spectrum, but the insane, over the top schemes definitely feel like something the Pickwick members would dream up if they were dogs. Stick Dog is very humble and understanding and saves the others from themselves without even letting them know. Readers realize he's the brains of the outfit, but the dogs are none the wiser. Hand this to kids who are reluctant to pick up chapter books or love dogs or goofy stories.Notes on content: No language issues or sexual content. One of the plans involves a very dangerous stunt of sitting in a giant frying pan on a fire, but kids should realize this is very ill advised. A dog gets a paw stuck in a door but ends up ok.

I love this series! Stick Dog and his friends always seem to be in search of food , which makes sense as they are strays. But they have so much fun getting it and humans are so clueless! In this story, the dogs discover and taste spaghetti. They manage to get into an Italian restaurant kitchen and eat a large pot of spaghetti. Stick Dog even manages to snatch a bag of meatballs for his buds when they make their escape. Humans are none the wiser! Fun story! Suitable for all dog lovers ages 7 up.

Stick Dog and his friends get a little taste of spaghetti from under a Dumpster and crave more. They go in search of this delicacy and have to plan how to sneak into a restaurant to get more.I'm reading these books with my seven year old son, and he loves them. The dogs are very much dogs, but they talk to each other. The vocabulary is good. Stick Dog is mighty patient with his friends and generous.

I liked this book because it was very funny. Karen always makes me laugh. Stick dog is the Alfa dog. He comes up with the best ideas. If you are 7 and older I think this book will be good for you. I loved it!!!

My son LOVES spaghetti so of course he had to read this book. As he read it I found myself enjoying it too. It was ridiculously funny at times but that is what made it so good.
