It’s morning. The dogs are hungry. It’s time to take the donuts!
Stick Dog and his team of strays are off on another outrageous canine caper. To snatch some breakfast treats for his hungry pals, Stick Dog will need to stop a moving truck, outfox a man on a telephone pole, and calm down a very caffeinated Karen. But that’s not all. He’ll also need to manage the greatest confrontation in history when his good friend Poo-Poo comes face-to-face with the ultimate enemy: a squirrel!
With Stick Dog’s smarts, daring, loyalty–and patience–he just might lead his buddies to the best breakfast ever.
Other favorites in the series include Stick Dog Wants a Hot Dog, Stick Dog Chases a Pizza, and many more!

Stick Dog Tries to Take the Donuts Audiobook Narrator
Andrew Eiden is the narrator of Stick Dog Tries to Take the Donuts audiobook that was written by Tom Watson
Tom Watson lives in Chicago with his wife, daughter, and son. He also has a dog, as you could probably guess. The dog is a Labrador-Newfoundland mix. Tom says he looks like a Labrador with a bad perm. He wanted to name the dog “Put Your Shirt On” (please don’t ask why), but he was outvoted by his family. The dog’s name is Shadow. Early in his career Tom worked in politics, including a stint as the chief speechwriter for the governor of Ohio. This experience helped him develop the unique, storytelling narrative style of the Stick Dog books. More important, Tom’s time in politics made him realize a very important thing: Kids are way smarter than adults. And it’s a lot more fun and rewarding to write stories for them than to write speeches for grown-ups.

Stick Dog and his band of strays are off on another canine caper. This time it’s donuts. Oh and after Karen drinks a super sized coffee it’s a task to calm down a very caffeinated Karen. But that's not all. He'll also need to manage the greatest confrontation in history when his good friend Poo-Poo comes face-to-face with the ultimate enemy: a squirrel!

Stick Dog and his buddies are hungry. Really hungry. There's nothing in the trash and no one barbecuing in the park. But what's on that truck with the strange metal arm? A box of delicious circles.I'm reading these books with my seven year old son, and he's loving them. Stick Dog is one clever canine, and I know why the dogs want to do anything for donuts. Yum! It's funny when Karen drinks the coffee. Great series.

A HUGE hit with my family! My son loves donuts 🍩 and I love coffee ☕ so it was a win-win. My favorite part was when they thought Stick Dog was eating Karen.😂 Love how these books are easy for my 9 year old to read but enjoyable for me to listen to as he reads. 😊

10th read aloud of 2015-2016 and the third Stick Dog book I've read. I thoroughly enjoy these books for three reasons. 1. The vocabulary is awesome. While these books are basically about a group of dogs trying to steal food, Tom Watson uses a lot of sophisticated and interesting language. 2. The author totally captures the essence of dogs and I'm always making connections to my own hairy hooligans. And 3. These books are laugh-out-loud ridiculous. Of all the books I've read this year, this had my student guffawing the most. Super silly but in a well-done way.

A group of dogs who are all friends and who have wonderfully distinct and complementary personalities work together to face life's challenges in this series. In this book, they discover the yummy goodness of donuts and coffee, and their ability to satisfy hunger. The book wraps up with a successful team effort to attain ever-illusive apples that hang just out of reach. Fans of "Wimpy Kid" and "Dork Diaries" will enjoy these.

Stick Dog is a fun read for early readers Stick Dog and his friends are on a mission for food, what better food than donuts and coffee. This book will make your child laugh as well as you at the antics of Stick Dog and his gang. The illustrations fit well with the story even though they aren't too intricate.
