Janet, you've done it again! A light hearted romantic romp with a crazy family, slippery turkey, pregnant horse and a rabbit, all set to Thanksgiving in a reenactment village. Tons of fun for a quick read while the turkey cooks.Ok, I’ve reread it again (2017) and I still love it. Even though I wanted to smack the hero upside the head a few times and shake the heroine, (I may sound a bit violent, sorry) it’s still a fun romantic romp. 😊

This was a good quick read. It is also the first book I have read by Janet. I really liked how the characters connected and jumped right in to take care of the baby. I loved the pretend family. I was a little frustrated with Pat and that he would not just hurry up and marry Meg. I liked the ending of the book as well.

I finished this book a little before midnight last night. Toward the end it gets funnier and funnier so that I was laughing out loud. So many of her books are very funny! I needed this book so thanks Carol for alerting me to it.

I have read many books by Janet Evanovich and the one thing I know I can look forward to is the humor. This book does not disappoint. If it doesn't make you laugh, it will definitely make you smile.Dr. Hunter's pet rabbit keeps escaping and wandering around Williamsburg. Of course, the rabbit just loves to nibble on Megan Murphy's clothing. Megan is convinced that Dr. Hunter is an irresponsible pet owner and is irritated with him. Then a random woman leaves her baby with them, mistaking her for his wife.Dr. Hunter is sexy and a smart ass to boot. He insists on calling her Mrs. Hunter, kissing her and that they eat supper together every night as a family. Megan finally tells him that she has sworn off men and that she just wants to be friends. He tells her he doesn't want to be friend but lovers instead. The battle lines are clearly drawn.I love how Ms. Evanovich has made Dr. Hunter a fun, teasing type of guy. He is certainly not boring or stuffy in any way, shape or form. I would recommend this book to all the romance lovers out there.

This book is a great choice if your in the mood for a good laugh after finishing a dark more twisted read. You can always count on Evanovich for a good belly chuckle.

What a way to Meet! Can you just imagine it later "hey mom how did you and dad meet?""What? Oh his rabbit was eating my skirt"That would be pretty epic. Okay I don't think to much of Tilly I mean she left her baby with a man she barely knew and assumed he was married didn't even stick around to make sure he'd be taken care of. Poor Megan just thrown into motherhood but she's doing pretty good. I sympathized with the peas in the hair babies just love to get food on people. Pat is so Cute! I want one. I love that neither can cook but they want to make a Thanksgiving day meal. Oh lord is this book cute and sweet and just a joy to read. it's a little gem. Definitely filled with surprises like Megan helping pat deliver a baby! I especially like the pay back Pat gave Dave. All in all I'd probably read this again.

I enjoyed the brain break of this Janet Evanovich holiday books. I've read several serious novels lately and needed some light humor. Her holiday books are not part of the Stephanie Plum series, and there are no bad guys in this one. What we do have is Megan Murphy, a potter, who's hiding out in Colonial Williamsburg, nursing her wounds from two failed engagements, one of which ended when the groom left her at the altar. She knows she really didn't want to marry David either, but still... She has sworn off men and marriage. And then a rabbit comes along and eats a hole in her skirt. The rabbit belongs to Patrick Hunter, the adorable young pediatrician, and the rest of the novel is pretty predictable from there. It's a fun book though and exactly what I needed right now. There's a lot of humor, some romance, and two families busy in matchmaking.

Rating: 5 Stars!! (Wish i could rate it 10 Stars!!) Review: This was my first time reading a book by this author so i wasnt sure what to expect but i really loved this one and think i found a NEW Favorite Author!! The Characters were really fun and interesting to read about. I really loved Megan's character and could relate to her alot since i have a pet rabbit myself and i raised 2 other Pet Rabbits when i was in 4-H in my tweens to teens. The Setting was my favorite since ive been to Colonial Williamsburg, VA before and the way Janet described it is exactly how i remember it and now i long to go back there for vacation. Overall a really good and enjoyable Romance/Fiction Read and I can't wait to read more by Janet in the future!!

This is a quirky but fun story of a couple living in a historic town. She was left at the alter and is licking her wounds while dressing in historic clothes to work with the local tourists. Then both families are coming to check on them for Thanksgiving and they need to figure out how to entertain and feed them.If you want a fun story around a Thanksgiving theme, this could be the book for you.
