The Clinton, Inc. audiobook

Excellent and interesting book on the political careers of Bill and Hillary Clinton. While the book is certainly not a rah rah book for the Clintons, it is also not entirely negative on them either. It is a blunt, factual look at how they operate. How they are able to "win friends and influence people", how they manage to successfully destroy their enemies, manipulate the press to their benefit, and continually rebuild their images in the wake of scandal and catastrophe. They are shrewd politicians with both good and bad qualities, who have been very successful in the world of American politics.

I was not expecting it to be as written so engagingly, but I found this really easy to read and get into even though I am not from the US. We all need to question our politicians, and this was a good book to keep that in mind. I enjoyed the descriptions of Bill Clinton being extremely charismatic, and how Chelsea can do no wrong. Surprisingly one of my faves!

I couldn't put this book down. Really gives you an inside look at both of the Clinton's. Changed my perceptions of them. Very well written.

The reason I reached for this book, was that I wanted to sort my ideas about Hillary. On the surface everything was perfect, still I was against her winning. How did it happen that she didn't get the job? As the author explained it, many people had "a visceral feeling" about her candidacy. The book itself is made up in big part of speculations. I didn't like "Chasing Hillary" chapter. The author discovered mode of operation, which seems true for the whole Clinton's family. After finishing to read, two ideas crossed my mind: I can't imagine Bill Clinton as a "First Mate," and now I know who was an engine behind bad media cover of Donald Trump candidacy.

This is one in a series of books that endeavors to explain how and why the Clintons' remain powerful and relevant in today's politics regardless of their character issues. Much is already known about Bill's personal issues and his politco mastership, however this book also illuminates his friable side- especially where Monica Lewinsky is concerned. For instance, when CNN planned to air a documentary on the life of Hillary in 2013, the two were adamantly opposed to the production because they feared it would re-kindle the Lewinsky affair;the four-hour miniseries was to start at the point where Hillary first discovered her husband's fling with the twenty-two-year old intern in the Oval office. The Clinton's protestantism blocked the show from airing. The book covers alleged deals between Obama and the Clintons' regarding the 2016 election, Hillary's ineptness while campaigning on script, Chelsea's empowerment (and mediocre accomplishments given her advantages), the millions the couple now make from their political status, and some new friendships forged with Republicans; possible democrat challengers for Hillary are mentioned with particular emphasis on Gov. Martin O'Malley. At the end of the day, the book is a rehashing of familiar Clinton traits- greed, dishonesty and lack of character; but this book presents the material in an interesting and readable style. I recommend this book.

This is a very well written and informative book fully deserving of a 5 star rating. I've read books written by both Bill and Hillary Clinton individually, needless to say this book was a comparative eye opener when compared to those.The comparison to the Clinton political machine being like a major corporation seems very much appropriate when the careers and actions of both Bill and Hillary are examined in detail.While it's a very interesting read, I could not help feeling a bit depressed as the author recounted time and again tails of the Clinton's sacrificing everything on the alter of political and financial power. In the end it seems like an empty existence...

This is an impressive review of Bill and Hillary's career and personal lives. Halper explains how the Clintons function as a "corporation" together, weathering everything from scandals to major political wins. Halper is an excellent writer and this work is meticulously researched. By showing both the dark and light sides of the family, their politics, and their decisions, Halper has created an important read that is both important and relevant to our time.

This book reviews the major issues that have illustrated how Bill, Hilary and in time Chelsea Clinton operate to advance their own power while in positions of government service. What each of them is trying to accomplish for the good of the country when in positions of power is not mentioned. I suspect is isn't known. I have wondered myself.It will be for us to learn what Hilary will want to accomplish that will be for the good of the country, when she is President.

An in depth look at the Clinton's, the 3 that were once The 1st Family. It just reinforced everything I thought about them. How they did and would do anything for money and prestige. Everything they do is to promote themselves and they will make anyone who's against them scapegoats. If Hillary doesn't win, look forward to them promoting their daughter to run. They are just as narcissistic as Trump, they are just sneaky about it.

Part expose part hatchet job it does help explain why Mrs Clinton is struggling to win against the worst republican candidate in recent memory - it is the story of a political marriage, the lies told, the manipulation of image, the deals done in order to stay in the spotlight. Some of it is well known, some Monica related revelations are new, and it finishes before the primaries. But it makes for an interesting and revealing read

Well-written. Not the usual "bash Clinton" book one would expect so close to election time. The "scandals" aren't necessarily new, because most of it has been in the news for years...but the background presented sheds new light on several issues that have affected both Bill and Hillary. Interesting read.

This well-researched volume by Weekly Standard contributor Daniel Halper goes behind the scenes of the Clinton machine and lays out the power marriage that keeps the engine running. In case you were wondering, 'Is Hillary running?', of COURSE she's running. it's what Clintons do.

Not a whole lot of new ground covered in this book but a very well written good read. The narrative of the book makes for a easy read that never gets boring.

Clinton Political MachineVery enlightening, if disturbing, read. The Clinton machine is beyond belief. I can't believe she may be the next president.
