Nggak kebayang nanti akhirnya gimana.

With Becca somehow mentally jumping into the past at random intervals, meeting and learning secrets right from the mouth of Copernicus, she and her friends may just have the head start they need to reach the next relic before Galina Krause and the Teutonic Order! Abbott delivers another emotional and action packed adventure with this exciting entry. Fans will be holding their breath with every chase, clue and twist!

The chase for relics continues in book two of the series. Featuring Becca and her ability to visit times in the past (uniquely only in her mind leaving her body firmly in the present), this story takes place in London with a brief excursion to Bletchley Park, the World War II spy cracking facility that shortened the war against the Germans. References to Alan Turing and the Wrens (the female spy decoders) will excite a new generation of problem solvers. Becca meets Nicolaus Copernicus, also a time traveler, in the 1530s and he shares many clues to help Becca and friends Lily, Wade and Darrell outwit the enemy, the Teutonic Order, in finding the next of twelve relics. This novella is action-packed and will make a great addition to any science-fiction or adventure collection. This series has too many twists and turns and historical allusions to stand on its own so consider this the opportunity to add book one as well. Narrator Arielle DeLisle’s accents are fabulous and each character stands out with their own voice. While it is clear that the author intends to continue the series, book two ends

I put the Archives books off until the end, but I really should have read them as 1.5 and 2.5 of the Legacy. Throwing "they found another relic, and Becca time traveled in her mind and altered the past" really doesn't satisfy me. I needed this book before I read part 3 of the legacy. This book has some of the most critical information in it. It REALLY needed to be part of the main series. If you're the author of these books, and you're reading this, you need to go back in time and rework this incredibly important part of the series into the real series.

So glad I read this book , it was really packed with information. With Becca going back in time through out and speaking with an d getting clues from Copernicus added a lot to the story. A must read before going on to book 3

I'm still bothered by the numbering system in this series... But I think that's something I'm just going to have to get over. Otherwise, it was a great read. Very hard to put down, especially at the end. I'm still excited to see where this all goes.

Very interesting companion. A lot of new ideas and adventures were introduced, along with new allies and enemies. I really enjoyed reading it. Would recommend for ages 9+ due to some action and historical/geographical references.

Originally posted here at In the Senter of it AllGenre: Adventure AR level: none yetGrade appropriate: 4th and up (mature middle graders) RATING BREAKDOWN: Overall: 5/5-- I love this series. Full of action and adventure. Appealing to middle grade boys and girls.Creativity: 5/5-- In this book, the Kaplan crew are off to find a Crux or cross (the next relic in the hunt for Copernicus's time machine.) They come across helpful new friends and deadly new enemies. They travel back and forth in time as well. Characters: 5/5-- I love these characters more and more each book. Engrossing: 3/5-- This has been the least engrossing of the series. It may have just been the time in my own life with the holidays ending and getting back to work, but I kept putting the book down. Writing: 5/5Appeal to kids: 5/5-- Fans of Margaret Peterson Haddix’s The Missing series will love these books. Appropriate length to tell the story: 5/5CONTENT: Language: noneSexuality: noneViolence: high--The violence in these books is always high for middle grade. This series is not for the sensitive student. I will say even though many people get killed through the series (so far) and the children are continually being chased by a very bad villain, it is not graphic or overly upsetting. Drugs/Alcohol: none

Well, I daresay it's a bit ridiculous of Mr. Abbot to act as though the Archives series is separate at all from the Legacy series. I had skipped the first Archives story to go directly into the second of the Legacy and there were so many missed references. I can't imagine what it would be like if I had skipped this one.I'm getting very intrigued by the sneakiness of Copernicus but it would be nice if just once the group could figure something out, make a big discovery or connection, without being immediately attacked. Just to mix things up, you know.

** spoiler alert ** This book was CRAZY! i loved that whole thing with Becca and Joan Aleyn, and joan naming her child after Becca, that was so nice. These books are jam-packed with really interesting info on the books, i think everyone reading the legacy books, should read these too. I love how you really get into the character's head, and get to know them. I hope he'll write a 3rd Archive from either Darrell or Lily's pov.

Becca and the Prisoner's Cross is a novella that follows The Serpent's Curse. This book is told through Becca point of view. We learn more about what happened in the lab with the time machine and what it has done to her. The team is enlarged with Darrell's mom, Sarah, after they rescue her.
