United as One Audiobook Summary

The seventh and final book in the #1 New York Times bestselling I Am Number Four series! With United as One, this action-packed series comes to a surprising, breathtaking, and utterly satisfying conclusion. The Garde didn’t start this war, but they’ll do whatever it takes to end it once and for all. . . .

The Mogadorians have invaded Earth. Their warships loom over our most populated cities, and no country will risk taking them head on. The Garde are all that stand in the way, but they’ll need an army of their own to win this fight.

They’ve teamed up with the US military, but it might not be enough. The Garde need reinforcements, and they’ve found them in the most unexpected place. Teenagers from across the globe, like John Smith’s best friend, Sam, have developed abilities. So John and the others must get to them before the Mogs, because if they don’t their enemies will use these gifted teens for their own sinister plan.

But after all the Mogadorians have taken from John–his home, his family, his friends, and the person he loves most–he might not want to put any more lives in danger. He’s got nothing left to lose, and he’s just discovered he has been given an incredible new Legacy. Now he can turn himself into the ultimate weapon. So will he risk his life to save the world, or will he realize that power in numbers will save us all?

Great book. Dark, Intense and Awsome. Every book in this series seem to be improved slightly on the last. I love the character development in the series. There were points in the first couple of book I was thinking to myself about John/4 will you please grow a pair and stop acting like a love sick teenager. Of course this probobly not fair as he actually was a love sick teenager, and had not quite grown into his heroic role as yet. I am actually glad that the books were done this way it made me appricate the latter book more.In this book the nitration is shared by John/4 and Six. Six has always been the tough warrior compared to Fours more compassionate personality, and she also had an edge in battle as she competent using her powers/legacies. Now John is more battle hardened and with Pittacus Lore's ability to mimic powers/legacies, making not only a one man army, but also possibly the most powerful person on the planet. With possibly the exception of Setrakus Ra. Who is also a genius who has been planning with how to deal with Grades and Legacy wealders for centuries.Another great thing about this book even though Four and Six are definitely the main characters every character has a role to play and no matter how big or small it is it is essential. This is a great finale to the series. I like to think of it as more of an ending to the current story arc, and would love more book on the brave new world the Earth infused with Loric energy has become. Maybe this is wishful thinking on my part but I would love more books. Everything about this book is great, the character development, the action, even the pace is right for every moment of the book. Every time I read a few pagers I wanted to read more.

United as One (Lorien Legacies #7), Pittacus LoreLorien Legacies is a series of young adult science fiction books, written by James Frey, Jobie Hughes, and formerly, Greg Boose, under the collective pseudonym Pittacus Lore. United as One is the seventh and final book in the series. The book opens with brief descriptions of the state of some characters, describing them as "a girl" or "a boy" but can be determined who it is told about. It first describes Marina standing on the edge of a cliff in a dream. In The Fate of Ten she was left unconscious after a fight with Setrákus Ra. She sees Setrákus Ra taking the appearance of Eight, convincing her to let go and be with Eight, but she refuses and chooses to continue to fight. Next a scene is described of Five in a padded cell, locked up by Nine and John. Setrákus Ra also comes to him in a dream to convince him to come back on his side. Five refuses. The next scene is Mark walking the football field of his old school in Paradise, clutching a photo of Sarah. He is met by Setrákus Ra who tries to tell Mark he can bring Sarah back and they can fight together. The scene ends with Setrákus Ra offering his hand to Mark, but does not tell if Mark accepts the offer. ...

4.5Whoa this series was one long, crazy ride! I have to say I was somewhat disappointed with the the slow pace in this last book, and didn't really like how it all wrapped up, but this is still such an insane series and I love all these characters so much and it's so weird that it's over.

I have some issues with it. I mean, it's so rarely that a book or anything meets our expectation, so somehow I knew that this series wouldn't be so different. But still, I couldn't have asked for a better ending. Goodbye to yet another great series.

This book definitely ended the series with the bang I was hoping for! The rest of the series was so action packed and for this book, it felt like all that action was jam packed together for one hell of a finale! I think my favourite part of this book was seeing how far this series has come since the beginning! This final book takes a much darker turn, so much so that it makes you doubt that any of the characters will get a happy ending other than Setrakus Ra. It's intense and gritty and I loved every single second of it! There's also some devastating losses that deeply affect our main characters and drastically change them. Mainly John aka Four, he's become permanently damaged and becomes willing to do anything it takes to win the war, no matter the cost and it's almost sad to see him suffer so much! And then we get to the absolutely perfect and stunning ending! I'm not going to lie I definitely shed a few tears, both happy and sad! I've become so invested in this series and these characters after 7 books and it was definitely bittersweet to have it all come to an end.

ugh another series come to an end :(Really loved this final book in the series! It was a tad slow at the beginning setting everything up but it pays off in the end. Really kept me on the edge of my seat near the last parts of the book, and I feel like I'm satisfied with how the series ended. It's sad to say goodbye to such an amazing series, with all the action and the awesome cast of characters :( Wouldn't mind a spin off series though......

Originally, I didn’t plan on reading the book because I was led to believe that The Fate of Ten was already the final book in the series. I wanted to throw a tantrum when I finished the supposedly final book learning it wasn’t yet final. So I was adamant in my decision to abandon the series for years until I found a copy of the seventh (and yes, for crying out loud, the final) book, that was on a really awesome sale.Of course, I had to go through online summaries of Books 1 through 6 because how in the world would I be able to remember them all when I’ve already read hundreds of books between book 6 and 7?! So onto my actual review or just more whining really. I must say that the long wait is totally worth it because the last book is very enjoyable except for the mourning part of course over the death of *****. But it’s probably this book that has the most action, pow wow, and all that. I was so excited to see the human Garde who developed legacies and also elated at witnessing the members of the Garde hone further their legacies and add to their powers, especially John who could practically do everything already. Really cool! Of course, he is fueled by grief, rage, and revenge but I kind of like his very confident and super bad-ass self. “We either end this war, or we die trying.” is his mantra although as the plot moves forward, it seems like the latter is more likely. I mean the deaths did not shock me anymore. There’s no time to grieve for them to be honest with the war raging and with so many countries getting toasted by Mogadorian warships. It almost feels like their efforts are a lost cause but I remember ‘The Avengers: End Game’ and the ‘GOT’ finale (which are so 2019, how updated am I? I should be referencing “Squid Game” but I have only seen the first episode at the moment) and I guess the same is true for United as One. When winning seems impossible, of course something happens at the last minute so that our heroes could once again claim their victory.

I still feel the book should have ended a book or two ago, but this was quite a ride. I couldn't put it down. It was very fast paced. It has a great ending to go with a well done series. I know there is a new series starting from this ending and I won't be going on with it. I feel content and complete with where things stand now.I did enjoy how the killed Setrakis Ra - well done. The end is very Arthurian Legend type of ending.Several people don't make it and several people do make it. Lore is really going for the gut wrenching here. The characters have all become hard at this point. I guess this is how it goes in war.I'm glad I finished this series.

I've stuck with this series since it was just I Am Number Four that was out and it's a little surreal that it's over now. I very much enjoyed this book but I'm a little underwhelmed with some of the results. Not that I wanted more death or destruction, but it just felt like we were cheated a bit with that whole climax. Some things were left unresolved and others weren't handled as I thought they should be and that's why this gets 4/5 and not that solid 5. I'm super sad that the series is over though, this was an amazing series overall.

I thoroughly enjoyed this series! I cannot believe it took me this long to start reading this series. This is a fast paced series with very well written characters that readers can really enjoy liking (well, other than the bad guys lol). The good part of waiting so long to start reading this series is I was able to read it from start to finish quickly so cliff hangers did not bother me! :)

I finally finished this freaking series. I finally finished this series. Two years later. Two freaking years later. Ok, so I originally read the first 4 books in 2018 and then because I am me and I didn't continue this series until this year. I read the 5th book, in April of this year and now in August, I finally finished this series. I finally know how this story ends! This was a really satisfying end. The last 70-ish pages were so interesting and action packed. I could not put this book down, I had to know how this book ends. And I liked this ending so much that I am actually contemplating if I should pick the spin-off series in this world. I think it's called Generation One or something like that.I am so happy that I finally finished it and hopefully I won't wait 2 year to read the other series.
