I think if you can get past the change in direction that Sophie Jordan takes in this sequel (yes, I became attached also--and yes, this was difficult!), then you can enjoy the intensity of Unleashed. It may not have as much straight action, but it is still exciting and has many thrilling moments. It was another quick read and very addictive--fun escape!

Inhalt:Die Ausreise nach Mexiko steht Davy, Sean, Gil und Sabine kurz bevor. Doch in der Nacht der Flucht wird alles anders. Davy wird angeschossen und verliert die anderen.Sie wird von Caden gefunden und in einen Unterschlupf der Rebellion gebracht. Doch dort muss Davy erneut kämpfen. Gegen diejenigen, die sie dort nicht haben wollen und auch gegen ihr verräterisches Herz.Meinung:Ich habe den ersten Band von „Infernale“ nahezu verschlungen und auch für „Rhapsodie in Schwarz“ habe ich nur wenige Stunden gebraucht, auch wenn ich zunächst etwas irritiert war…Gleich zu Beginn konfrontiert Sophie Jordan den Leser mit Davys Albträumen. Sie wird von dem Braunäugigen verfolgt, den sie töten musste, um Seans Leben zu retten. Nach den wohl zu Beginn vorhandenen euphorischen Gefühlen nach der Flucht, die für eine große Nähe zu Sean gesorgt haben, wurde die Distanz immer größer. Davy sieht ein jedes Mal den Toten vor sich, wenn sie Sean sieht.Das alles ändert sich jedoch bei der versuchten Flucht über die Grenze nach Mexiko. Die vier Freunde werden getrennt und Davy wird von Caden gerettet, einem der Hauptmänner eines Rebellenstützpunktes, der aus Trägern besteht, die anderen Trägern helfen wollen.Dort ist sie nicht willkommen, aber Caden verteidigt sie bis aufs Blut. Lange kann Davy sich den Gefühlen, die sie unablässig zu Caden ziehen, nicht wehren, daher kämpft sie dafür, dass sie zum Flüchtlingslager zu ihren Freunden darf.Durch die lange Wartezeit zwischen den beiden Bänden hatte ich die Beziehung von Davy zu Sean irgendwie anders in Erinnerung, als sie nun in Band 2 dargestellt wurde. Vielleicht habe ich als Happyend-Fan alles schöngeredet und die beiden hatten tatsächlich nicht das, was ich in ihnen gesehen habe… Dennoch hat mich die von Beginn des Buches spürbare Distanz zwischen Davy und Sean getroffen, ihre „plötzlichen“ (in Anführungszeichen, weil Sophie Jordan alles wirklich in einem guten Tempo entwickelt hat) Gefühle für den sehr gutaussehenden und Stärke ausstrahlenden Caden haben mich gestört (Liebesdreieck-Alarm!). Aber nur zu Beginn. Denn mit jeder Seite mochte ich die beiden zusammen immer mehr und die Autorin hat mir die tatsächliche Beziehung zwischen Davy und Sean nahegelegt.Davy hat allerhand Hürden zu meistern – den Widerstand, den ihr andere entgegenbringen, dann ihre Gefühle für Sean und Caden, die sie sortieren muss, nicht zuletzt ihre Angst, die es zu überwinden gilt.So lässt das Interesse an der Geschichte niemals nach. Die Autorin schaffte es, mich ein weiteres Mal durch die Story zu treiben, gezielte Hürden und Wendepunkte sorgen für das Dranbleiben, ihr locker zu lesender Schreibstil fördert das hohe Lesetempo.Wie auch in Band 1 gibt es zwischen den Kapiteln immer wieder Berichte, Gesprächsauszüge, Nachrichten oder Interviews, die das Geschehen in Politik und Gesellschaft beleuchten, was der Autorin sehr gut gelungen ist und mich ebenfalls auf das Ende der Dilogie neugierig machten, das mich dann letztendlich die Reihe auch zufrieden ins Regal stellen lässt.Urteil:Band 2 der Dilogie ist nicht ganz so brutal, wie ich den ersten Band in Erinnerung habe, und setzt sehr viel auf Protagonistin Davys innere Konflikte. Durch Sophie Jordans flüssigen Erzählstil, zahlreiche Hürden und gezielt gesetzte Spannungsmomente lässt der Lesesog jedoch nie nach und die Geschichte war binnen kürzester Zeit verschlungen. 5 Bücher für „Infernale – Rhapsodie in Schwarz“.Reihe:1. I was super excited about getting this one because I loved the first one. I am not sure I loved it as much at the first book, I think this one was what I was expecting. I kind of feel like it was its own book, and its kind of hard to express why I felt that way. I did love this book in its self; it had its own awesomeness to it! Davy, Sean, Gil and Sabine take the journey to flee the US and try to get into Mexico. But after they almost get caught and Davy is shoot she is separated from the group and found bleeding to death by someone. After waking up in a hospital room Davy she finds her self in a compound filled with others just like her. Yet her friends and Sean are not there, but the one who saved her is and he might just be the one to not only save her life but save her heart as well. I don’t know if I like Davy as much in this one then the first but I liked that she was a little rougher. Caden the boy who found her the boy who has some secrets and the boy who seems to helping her open her eyes is AWESOME. I think he makes the whole book, well this one really follows him and Davy but he is my fave of them all.Davy will have to make choices, hard ones. She wants to help fight, she wants to find her friends and she wants to just be left alone. But will her savior be the death of her will he make her feeling for Sean be in the past, can he bring her back to life? Davy will face A LOT in this one and trusting herself and others will make it or brake it in the story in Unleashed! The story had a great flow to it and was well written. It kept me on my toes that for sure with all the “wait what” and “OMG no way” going on it! I love when a book keeps me guessing!

That was a bomb two book series Again I am a sucker for a happy end and romantics.Although the book started off slow it did pick up with the introduction of sexy Caden and his resistance cell. I couldn't put the book down after that!Loved that she learnt about herself and emotions, she is one lucky girl and she can kick some series butt when needed. Because of the introduction of the new characters we didn't really miss Sean, Sabine or Gil. Plus I was totally roots for Davy and Caden with his smouldering Amber eyes ..... Sigh now I just need a guy with eyes like that...

"Rhapsodie in Schwarz" war eine der von mir am meisten ersehntesten Fortsetzungen in diesem Frühjahr. Meine Erwartungen waren hoch und wurden übertroffen, wenn auch ganz anders als gedacht !Sophie Jordan knüpft in diesem zweiten und finalen Band ihrer Dilogie nahtlos an den Vorgänger an.Davy und ihren Freunden ist die Flucht aus Mount Haven gelungen.Sie versuchen sich nach Mexico zu retten, wo es angeblich viele Flüchtlingslager für HTS Träger geben soll, doch auf ihrer Flucht wird die Gruppe voneinander getrennt und Davy erleidet eine Verletzung die sie das Leben kosten könnte. Durch einen glücklichen Umstand wird sie allerdings vom Mitglied einer Widerstandszelle gefunden und ihr Leben wird gerettet. Die Gruppe, Caden, bietet ihr an, zu bleiben und sich dem Widerstand anzuschließen. Doch wird sie bleiben ?Der Fokus liegt hier erstaunlicherweise nicht wie erwartet auf der Entwicklung des Systems, sondern auf Davy's innerem Kampf mit sich selbst, auf ihren Selbstzweifeln, ihren Selbstvorwürfen, aber auch auf einer aufkeimenden Romanze, die sie eigentlich gar nicht will und der sie sich immer wieder versucht zu entziehen.Der Widerstand und auch der Zerfall des ach so tollen Systems spielt sich eher in zweiter Reihe ab, einmal durch das Geschehen in der Widerstandszelle, aber auch durch kurze Mails, Gespräche oder Nachrichten, die man zwischen den Kapiteln findet.Ich bin ein bisschen zwiegespalten was diese Entwicklung angeht. Ganz und gar nicht im negativen Sinne, aber ich hatte etwas völlig anderes erwartet und habe stattdessen etwas bekommen, das mit meinen Erwartungen nichts gemein hatte und mich trotzdem komplett mitgerissen, emotional berührt und vor allem total zufriedengestellt hat. Irgendwie verrückt und furchtbar schwer zu beschreiben.Davy hat eine enorme Entwicklung durchgemacht. Von der einstigen Homecoming Queen ist nicht viel übrig geblieben. Sie hasst das Zweiklassen-System, denkt zeitgleich jedoch auch, das daran irgendetwas richtig sein muss. Dies hat vor allem damit zu tun, das sie durch Notsituationen dazu gezwungen war, Anderen Leid zuzufügen. Ist sie deshalb jetzt ein schlechter Mensch ? Hat das System Recht, wenn es sagt, das man die Menschen ohne HTS vor Leuten wie ihr schützen muss? Diese Zweifel und Ängste bewegen Davy, lassen sie nicht los und ziehen sich so präsent durch die ganze Geschichte.Davy weiß nicht wem sie vertrauen soll, wem sie vertrauen kann. Sie weiß nicht was die Zukunft für sie bereithält und sie muss ihre Freunde finden. Und dann kommt da ausgerechnet Caden, für den sie Gefühle entwickelt. Wie soll sie diese nur zulassen?Davys innerer Kampf ist der rote Faden und macht einen Großteil der Geschichte aus, was mir wirklich gut gefallen hat und vielleicht auch viele Leser zum Nachdenken anregen wird, denn es geht dabei um Themen wie Moral, Vorurteile, Ausgrenzung. Themen die aktueller nicht sein könnten.Aber auch Spannung, Action und wie oben erwähnt, die Liebe, kommen hier nicht zu kurz.Sophie Jordan hat eine besondere Art verschiedene Themen gekonnt zusammenzubringen und schreibt sich gerade total in mein Herz. Bereits mit Band 1 hat sie mich ja schon total gepackt, doch mit diesem Band setzt sie nochmal eins drauf und so wird INFERNALE zu einer der besten Dilogien die ich in den letzten Jahren gelesen habe !!!

Bereits der erste Band von Infernale hat mir wahnsinnig gut gefallen. Und ich war schon so gespannt wie es wohl weitergehen wird. Der Einstieg in den zweiten Band ist mir sehr leicht gefallen. Durch kurze und nicht zuviele Rückblicke hab ich mich schnell wieder zurecht gefunden in der Geschichte um Davy, Sean, Gil und Sabine. Man merkt schnell, dass Davy starke Probleme hat das alles zu verarbeiten. Das sie einem Menschen das Leben genommen hat nagt sehr an ihrer Psyche. Und das widerrum belastet ihre Beziehung zu Sean extrem. Als sie bei einem Fluchtversuch nach Mexiko von Grenzbeamten angeschossen wird, kann sie sich noch gerade so ans Ufer retten. Wo sie dann der Widerstandskämpfer Caden findet und sie mit seine Widerstandszelle im Untergrund nimmt. Und genau ab hier beginnt die Story richtig gut zu werden. Vorher war es doch so ein vor sich hinplätschern und ich hatte schon gedacht, dass es so weitergehen würde. Aber zum Glück taucht Caden auf! Dieser Kerl ist toll und zwar so richtig. Er ist einer der 3 Hauptmänner der Widerstandstruppe. Aber er ist weder arrogant noch sonderlich aggressiv. Obwohl er ja auch ein HTS Träger ist. Davy entwickelt sich in diesem Band in eine starke Frau und Kämpferin. An der ein oder anderen Stelle hatte ich wahnsinnigen Respekt vor ihr. Allerdings wirkt sie manchmal zu selbstkritisch und selbstzerstörerisch. Irgendwie war es doch ab und an ein wenig nervig, wenn sie sich selber so fertig gemacht hat und der Meinung war sie verdiene nichts Gutes mehr in ihrem Leben. Trotzdem hat mir die Geschichte zwischen ihr und Caden sehr gut gefallen. Es war realistisch und ich habe beide sehr gemocht. Das Ende ist so wie man sich das von einem Ende wünscht. Abschließend hat mir die Dilogie von Sophie Jordan wirklich außerordentlich gut gefallen!Eine absolut gelungener Finalband! Das Buch lässt sich super schnell lesen. Es ist spannend und überzeugt durch interessante neue Charaktere. Ganz klare Leseempfehlung! 5 von 5 Punkten

Nachdem mir Band 1 so super gut gefallen hat, wurde ich von Band 2 leider ein klitzekleines bisschen enttäuscht.Ich bin immer noch förmlich durch die Seiten geflogen, habe alles in mir augesaugt, das Buch kaum aus der Hand gelegt und immer wissen wollen, wie es weitergeht.Aber leider lag mir in diesem Buch der Fokus zu sehr auf der Lovestory. Und nicht nur das. Die Lovestory hat mich etwas enttäuscht. Ohne zu spoilern... ich kann einfach nicht verstehen, warum die Autorin diese Wendung im Gegensatz zu Band 1 eingebaut hat.Obwohl die Liebesgeschichte so viel Platz in diesem Band eingenommen hat, kam mir die Spannung, Gewalt, das ganze Thema rund um HTS und Widerstand dennoch nicht zu kurz und das fand ich gut.Meiner Meinung nach konnte die Autorin diesen Teil aus Band 1 gut weiterführen. Bei der Auflösung von allem, gerade was auch den Ausgang seitens der Regierung angeht, hätte ich mir aber seeeehr viel mehr gewünscht. Das war mir dann zu abrupt, zu "einfach".Und wie auch in Band 1 waren mir die Charaktere etwas zu flach. Es wurde eigentlich nur zwischen Gut und Böse unterschieden, andere Charaktermerkmale gab es nicht.Insgesamt aber eine kleine, kurzweilige Dilogie, die ich sehr sehr gerne gelesen (oder verschlungen?) habe!

WARNING: THIS IS A HUGE REVIEW I decided some time ago that I would not going to review sequels anymore, but this time I just feel like I should review this book - Unleashed - the sequel of Uninvited by miss Sophie Jordan.While I was reading the book I was really enjoying it, but I just couldn't get out of my head one thing: Why it has such a low score? - yes, in my opnion 3.6 or something like that is not a good score... and I decided to read the reviews on goodreads, so I read some opinions and I found some things that I actually could not understand. I have something to say to you before you continue reading this review... if you didn't read the first book I do not advise you to continue reading this review because it may contain spoiler since you don't know the characters or the story. Now, I finished the book and I totally loved it, I gave to it 5 stars, I enjoyed it a LOT, I loved some quotes, I loved the characters... I mean, I actually loved both of these books.The first one was pretty different from the second one, but I'm not going to blame the author, I mean, I agree that some stories have to change a little, or a LOT actually... I agree that some characters have to go away even if you loved that character reading the first book... and yes girls, I'm talking about Sean.I read a lot of reviews saying that this book was such a disappointment mainly because of Sean and Caden, I mean... everyone seemed to want Sean everywhere... if you read the first book you know that Davy and Sean were kind of a couple, they were like love birds, they were together, they liked each other... and in this book they are not anymore... if you read the synopsis of this second book Sean isn't even there... but Sean is in the book, I'm not going to lie, YES, he doesn't even appear a lot in this book but he is there and there are some reasons why he doesn't appear as much as he did in the first book.If you ask me if I'm not sad because he's not there anymore I can say to you right now that no... I'm not sad, I mean, in the first book I LOVED Sean, I loved his relationship with Davy, they were really awesome and lovely... but in this book a LOT of things changed and honestly I feel like it was a good thing to happen... I liked when Caden appeared, so if you read the synopsis but you didn't read the book and you actually don't know who Caden is... just give it a try, you need to read the book to understand... and I actually think that you need to try to understand WHY the author changed the story that much... you can't just tap your foot and say that you will not read this book if Sean isn't there.Another thing that I read a lot while reading the reviews on goodreads was something like this: "The second book has too much romance in it... the first one had a lot of adventure and action and it was really cool... and btw, I hated that Sean isn't there with Davy anymore". - so yes... I feel like people say that they didn't want romance in this book because it is a dystopian book and it is supposed to show us a badass main character... so because of that Caden isn't really wellcome in this book, because he and Davy have something in common, because they are cute and lovely together and that's not supposed to happen in a dystopian book... BUT people continue talking about Sean... which means that if the romance was between the main character and Sean IT WAS TOTALLY OK... so yes, reading some reviews I could undertand that people have nothing against romance on dystopian and action books... but people have something against the author changing the main characters...I have to make one thing clear, I didn't write all of that stuff above because I wanted to criticize or even offend people who didn't like this book... I understand that we can't all love the same book because if that was possible some authors were preety screwed... the thing is, I obsviously accept people "not liking" stories, I accept and understand when people don't like a genre or even the way some authors write some books... but the thing I don't understand is why people have to stick to an old idea, why people don't accept changes, why some people don't even give a try to some new things and new worlds.I bet that a lot of people who wrote AWFUL reviews to this book didn't even try to like the book... I feel like those persons just decided that they were not going to like the book if Sean wasn't there... and since Sean wasn't REALLY there they stopped caring about the story, about what was really important in this book.As I said before I'm not trying to censure you, I'm not giving HATE to people who didn't enjoy this book... I'm just spreading my opinion... and I really think that you should read this book thinking about what it really important, thinking about the story and not about just one character.

3.75I really enjoyed the first book, however this one didnt quite have the same impact.I thought she could have prolonged it. Maybe had them more on the outside. I don't know exactly what I wanted. I just wanted more.
