Queens, New York City, is the birthplace of Steven Weber. He was born to his mother Fran, a nightclub singer, and Stuart Weber, a comedian, Steven started doing commercials while still in the third grade. Later on, he studied Performing Arts and graduated from NYC University.
His film debut was in The Flamingo Kid, after which he quickly joined the cast of a popular soap opera As the World Turns, where he met his first wife, Finn Carter. During that time, Weber also played John F. Kennedy in The Kennedys of Massachusetts miniseries from 1990.
Some of his most notable work in the ‘90s was alongside Jennifer Jason Leigh in Single White Female and The Temp from 1993. Nevertheless, his rise to fame didn’t end there. He was praised by critics in a gay romance drama Jeffrey. It was at that time that he married Juliette Hohnen, one of the executives for MTV News in Los Angeles.
Besides his mentioned work in the sitcom Wings, Steven Weber’s career is marked by appearances in Broadway musicals The Real Thing and The Producer, where he replaced Matthew Broderick. His other notable work from that time was in ABC’s The D.A., Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, National Anthems, and Chasing Life.
