Big Nate: In a Class by Himself

Nate Wright is an eleven-year-old going through a rebellious phase. After opening a fortune cookie that said he’s destined for greatness, he’s convinced he’s a genius. Although his detention record at school seems to prove the contrary, he’s determined to succeed.

Trouble seems to follow Nate wherever he goes. School has barely started and he’s already body-slammed the principal and accidentally insulted Mrs. Godfrey, or Godzilla, as he calls his least favorite teacher.

The book is full of mischief and funny situations Nate faces daily while attending middle school.

Big Nate Strikes Again

In Big Nate Strikes Again, Nate has to do a school project for Mrs. Godfrey with his all-time enemy Gina.

Misfortune follows Nate when Gina becomes a member of his fleeceball team. They’re about to be crowned champions for the first time, and he’ll have to make sure Gina doesn’t ruin things for him.

Big Nate on a Roll

Big Nate on a Roll features Nate as the influential kid in the scout troop. That’s until Artur, whom Nate calls Mr. Perfect, joins the group. Nate is involved in hilarious situations to regain the scout troop’s first position and relegate Artur to second place.

Big Nate Goes for Broke

Big Nate Goes for Broke follows Nate and his friends participating in a wintry snow sculpture competition. Their rivals are the Jefferson Middle School kids that beat the P.S. 38 at everything.

Big Nate Flips Out

Big Nate Flips Out is a hilarious story of Nate being in trouble for being sloppy. Nate isn’t a neat kid, but when his careless attitude gets his best friend Francis into trouble, he must clean up his act.

Big Nate: In The Zone

In Big Nate: In The Zone, Nate is being his usual self. He believes he’s destined for greatness but has a record for detention time. Thanks to Chad’s lucky foot, Nate is having some good fortune on this occasion and needs to take full advantage while it lasts.

Big Nate Lives It Up

In Big Nate Lives It Up, Principal Nichols asks Nate to befriend a new kid named Breckenridge Puffington III. The new kid looks oddly familiar, but Nate can’t remember where he’s seen Breckenridge before. It doesn’t help that the new kid is a fun sponge, making Nate want to escape him at every opportunity.

Big Nate Blasts Off

In Big Nate Blasts Off, Nate has a crush on his friend Ruby Dinsmore. Unfortunately, it seems he’s not the only one. Another school kid named Randy likes her, and because of that, he and Nate get into a fight.

Detention is the least of his problems as he’s sent to peer counseling. Moreover, his dad tells him and his sister they might have to move to California.
