About HyperRead for Chrome

Online reading a lot? Do you want to read more quickly? You should use this addon. Simply choose the text you want to read from any online page, decide how many words per minute you want to read at, and let HyperRead simplify your life. Need a break? You can do it by clicking the pause button or pressing any key. It is equally simple to return to the previous location or even the start of the chosen text. Once set up, using the Zarathustra Hotkey (Shift+Ctrl+Z) will start reading the selected text in any tab right away.

Most popular feedback for Wear Reader

App works better than well I want to say thanks for the app. A few reviewers point out that the Apple Watch auto-off setting interrupts reading. And though at first this was disappointing, I found that by placing my finger on the edge of the screen while using the app the auto-off never triggers. I hope people are aware of this! A simple mod that turned Wear Reader into the app I'd been waiting for. Productivity doubled. Well, best wishes and thanks for this weird fabulous idea. I believe that all mobile reading apps will l be rapid serial within 7 or 8 years and hope you folks get some deserved credit for that.

About Wear Reader

You can speed read while you're on the go with Wear ReaderTM. You won't ever need to take a book out of your backpack again, whether you're in a bus, train, or subway. You may start reading right away by simply uploading your preferred book from a supported format to your iPhone or Android device and connecting your Apple Watch or Android wear. Wear ReaderTM swiftly displays text on the screen, one word at a time, to quell internal babbling and enable quick reading while maintaining comprehension. Need to go back because you missed a spot? No issue! To fast-forward and rewind, simply swipe up and down on the screen or press the appropriate buttons. To take a break and assess your progress, press once to halt the stream. Tap again to resume. Everything is done by the app. You can read longer without becoming tired because your eyes won't be skipping from word to word. Even a night mode is available on the Android version for reading in the dark late at night.

HyperRead for Chrome reviews

The app runs quite well and can reach higher speeds than most other implementations of Spritz I've used. The breaks after each paragraph are also very helpful in increasing comprehension and the length/speed information is a great bonus. It would be even better if users could customize the size of the font to take advantage of larger/smaller screens.

Okay, it seems most of these Spritz readers can't do .pdfs, which is disappointing. The 'breaks' this takes, where you can see it 'scanning' a webpage? THAT'S what I want from speed reading software! I want something where it will train my eyes to follow a target quickly, which I think will apply better to reading an ordinary book than just having the words fixed in the centre of the screen. Thank you.

Wear Reader reviews

If this worked as intended, this app would be amazing. Books on your wrist, everywhere you go! And actually an attractive interface as well. But constant crashes hold it back. I’m trying to reinstall again - I don’t want to give up on it yet! Developer, please fix the reliability.

I had my Apple Watch for about 8 months before finding this app and admittedly I didn't use it much and was a little disappointed I had spent the money on it. However, after finding this app I won't be caught without my watch. I love that I can read anytime I have some down time. Whether I'm waiting in line, riding the subway or taking a break at lunch all I have to do is look at my wrist to catch up on my reading. I prefer to read using the Traditional Method where I manually scroll through "pages" of the book with many words on the screen at one time instead of the speed reading method that shows one word at a time, but I'm sure some people prefer the other method. Definitely worth using this app.
