“Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today.“

The app really isn’t meant for much else, but for professional writers seeking to streamline their process, it may be very valuable. The cloud-focused app also needs an internet connection to really be useful when it comes to security and backups.
Anonynous User, Be A Writer TodayLivingWriter has many excellent features to offer…if you’re writing a novel. The entire app is built on features specifically made to help writers navigate large fiction books as they write.
I don't know about anyone else's experience, but I am having some slight issues. It constantly jitters around due to the side bar and some other mechanisms that I still haven't identified, and it sometimes deletes entire sentences while I'm just typing away and in the flow. It's a beautiful app otherwise and after trying others out, it beats out the competition MANY times over in my opinion.
Jermaine OliverAlthough JotterPad offers advanced features, it still keeps the interface tidy, preventing distractions. You’ll notice it’s similar to other writing apps like Draft, Ulysses, and IA Writer but with a few nuances.
I've been using this app for awhile on my tablet and desktop. While the desktop app isn't perfect, this app is particularly frustrating to use, especially if you're using a physical keyboard. The arrow keys don't control the cursor, instead cycling through the header navigation. Once you've accidentally pressed an arrow key, pressing space bar makes the menu open, without fail. It's very irritating.

Perfect for those who like to plot out their stories. The tools are very versatile and I easily adjusted them to my needs. I love that I can jump between mobile and web, since I write 80% on my phone and 20% on the computer. My only major qualm with this app is that I really like the element link feature, but I don't think it works on the app. I can see the element links I've made on the web version, but as far as I can tell, I can't make links.

I love the desktop version but the app leaves so much to be desired. Basic functions like being able to use auto correct or select/highlight text to cut or copy and paste is just non existent and it lags like crazy. Part of the reason I signed up was for the supposed convenience of being able to work on my projects from my phone or computer when on the go but that's simply not possible with so many basic functions (which can be found in any other writing app) just aren't available.

I love the app much more than most note apps. My only complaint is that after the most recent update I can't move my files into folders anymore wether to remove them from one then add to another, or to place a stranded dock into a folder. In past I could press and hold a document and hit move file and choose the folder because I make documents before I decide to place it in the folder. But now all I have is the option to copy or delete folders. Someone please bring back the move document button

I come back after a hiatus of smart phones and they have a new subscription charge to sync to my drop box!? I paid once for that feature. and that was the understanding. I am not forking over $5/ month to write text files! otherwise, app seems to have added a few cool new features for power users. ads talking about "my next hit screenplay" smack of artifice. preying on wannabe dreamers. Now I need another app that backs up to a cloud without slurping on my bank account every month. bummer

I understand that this is a free app with a paid option, i could deal with the constant popups every single time i opened the app. However, what made me stop using this was when i switched phones. Not sure how, because it looked like everything changed over fine at first, but i opened the app a second time to find no notes. The only option i had was to import each note, one by one, as an ugly txt file. Absolutely frustrating and the straw that broke the camel's back.
