I give Employment Hero a five out of five. For more reviews, click below. So before using Employment Hero, we were using MYOB with paper based time sheets and leave applications and that really wasn't working for us. When we looked at Employment Hero, we also looked at ADP, PeopleKey, and WhosOnLocation, but we preferred Employment Hero over the others because it had both integrated payroll and HR. It was ISO 27001 certified, which was very important for us in terms of data protection. We liked the fact that there was a per unit price per employee, so you understood your fixed cost with each additional employee. And the other thing I really liked about Employment Hero was it was strong on supported integration. It was really easy to get started with Employment Hero. They provide a lot of on demand webinars for each module that you have to introduce. They also have live Q and A sessions that you can join to ask specific questions and there's a large suite of online documents that you can access to help troubleshoot any issues. In terms of using Employment Hero and getting started, one of the things that I found really helped was making sure that you understand your relevant legislation, or awards, or anything else pertinent to your business. I found it very helpful to follow the suggested integration process using the webinars and the live Q and A sessions. It was also important for me that we didn't try to implement everything at once. We used a scaled implementation process and introduced things once we had the system up and running. The other great thing about Employment Hero was that we were able to play in their sandbox and trial the system before we put it into play.

The product is easy to use for our annual big show. Even though we go months at a time without using the software it is east to relearn and start using again.

I was originally excited to find the software as it allowed for offline collection. Set up was easy but once we started collecting information everything fell apart. I spent over 6 hours trying to get a hold of someone on their chat (as there is no other way to get a hold of someone) and then another long period of time (when up against hard deadlines) to get issues and questions resolved. After the first issue was cleared up (after a couple days) there was some sort of update ran that cause us to have to reset the entire app midway through our show (causing us a lot of stress). We didn't feel that Survey Anyplace was at all sorry about the amount of extra work and money it cost us. We had to expedite a new ipad to set up their app again (plus travel to and from our tradeshow), we had to have key management spend a lot of time trying to handle the issue with them, and had a large amount of angry customers during the few hours at the show we were no longer able to collect information (they were angry as each person we collected had a chance to win a prize). This cost us business and made the company look bad. The software looked nice but not worth the time of money so I would not recommend it.

I'm pretty pleased with it as a whole. With the HR platform, I can aggregate rules and processes for all staff and rest easy knowing that they comply with all applicable laws. It's an excellent payroll solution. The pay stubs are detailed, removing any uncertainty and ensuring that employees are satisfied. I have no hesitation in recommending the program to any SME entrepreneur looking to run their company more efficiently.
