Sprint Reader is a simple and straightforward plugin for speed reading. Simply choose the text you want to print or read from a webpage, right-click on it, and then select "Sprint read selected text" from the menu that appears. This will start the reader window, which displays the selected text in a word-by-word format in a focal position that is always the same. A word-per-minute (WPM) setting is used as the basis for determining how long each slide will be displayed for. "Rapid Serial Visual Presentation," which is shortened to "RSVP," is the name of this particular reading strategy. According to a number of studies, the tendency to "sound out" (sub-vocalize) words in one's head is a factor that slows down reading rates and makes it more difficult to achieve faster reading times. The best RSVP extensions I've run across so far. I wish if there was a "ticker" mode, that could've been even better because the eye as it speeds up will try to read more than one word at a time. I'm waiting to see such a feature in this amazing extension.
