Wings of Fire is a graphic novel series for children written by author Tui T. Sutherland and published by the Scholastic Corporation. The series follows the adventures of a group of dragonets, five dragons who are prophesied to end a war. The main characters are Clay, Glory, Tsunami, Starflight, and Sunny, as well as other supporting dragon characters, including Queen Scarlet and Queen Coral, together with the human-like scavengers called "scavenger dragons."
The story begins in the rainforest dragon world of Pantala, where five dragon eggs are found in a mysterious cave by five scavenger dragons searching for food. As they hatch, it's revealed that the dragonets are part of an ancient prophecy about bringing an end to the war between two rival tribes: The SandWings and the IceWings.
Since then, the dragonets have been on a quest to fulfill their destiny while evading enemies such as Queen Scarlet and her NightWings. On their journey, they find themselves learning more about their own history and discovering family secrets that will change them forever.
