How to read Sandra Brown’s books in order
Sandra Lynn Brown is one of the most prolific and versatile American authors of mystery and thriller fiction, publishing under several pennames (Rachel Ryan, Laura Jordan, and Erin St. Claire). She’s been active on the literary scene for the past forty years, so her collection is more than extensive.
Who is Sandra Brown?
Sandra Brown is an American author from Waco, Texas. She was born in 1948, studied English at the Texas Christian University, and got married in 1968. She started her writing career in 1981, when her first novel, Love’s Encore, came out. Since then, she’s published about eighty novels, more than fifty of which have become New York Times bestsellers. Sandra Brown draws her inspiration from the things that surround her and her experiences with the American South. She writes in several genres, including mystery, thriller, romance, and historical fiction. Brown has won a number of awards, including the American Business Women’s Association’s Distinguished Circle of Success award, the A.C. Greene award, the Romance Writers of America’s Lifetime Achievement award, etc. She has also worked as a weathercaster and a reporter in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex area.
Book series by Sandra Brown
While Sandra Brown has published mostly standalone novels, she remains known for several of her series written either under her actual name or a nom de plume.
Astray & Devil series
The Astray & Devil series is actually a duology, as it consists of only two novels published between 1985 and 1987. It centers on Jenny Fletcher, who, mourning the death of her fiancé, finds sudden solace in his brother, Cage.
Bed & Breakfast series
The Bed & Breakfast series is another duology. The story follows Sloan Fairchild, a woman who’s been hurt far too many times to be interested in love ever again. Instead, she runs an inn and puts all her energy into it. However, when she opens her doors to one of her friend’s fiancé, her feelings awaken once again.
Coleman Family saga series
In this duology, Brown puts Lydia Langston and Ross Coleman into the spotlight. Lydia is withdrawn, but Ross is stubborn, and for the first time since his wife’s death, he’s ready to give in to his emotions.
Lee Coburn series
Honor Gillette’s daughter has found a sick man in their yard. When she goes out to see what is happening, she learns the sick man is a killer on the run. He won’t harm her or her daughter — as long as she does everything he tells her to do.
Mason Sisters series
Mason Sisters novels are a tale of two sisters: one, Lilah, has been putting all her energy into her career as a therapist, while the other has worked tirelessly on her relationship and family. When Lilah gets a new patient, however, she slowly starts swerving off her set path as emotions start to boil.
Mitchell & Associates series
Paul Wheeler, a CEO of a business empire, has been murdered, and the case could not be more complex. There’s family rivalry, millions of dollars, and a mistress coming into play, and it’s up to Derek Mitchell, a renowned defense lawyer, to protect the main suspect.
Texas! Tyler Family saga series
Lucky Tyler is somewhat of a rebel: charming, handsome, and a natural womanizer. What he doesn’t expect, however, is that one of his mysterious lovers is going to become his alibi when he becomes the prime suspect involved in a shooting incident. Unfortunately, though, the said lover has disappeared.
