Besides the books about Temperance Brennan, Kathy Reichs is also the author of young adult novels about Tory Brennan, Tempe’s great niece. Here’s a list of all the books in order.

Virals (2010)

Virals is the first novel in the series, and its plot centers on Tory and her three friends as they try to solve a murder mystery on Loggerhead Island after finding a dog tag from the Vietnam War era. Throughout the book, they get infected by an experimental virus, acquire superpowers, and rescue a wolfdog who they name Cooper.

Seizure (2011)

In Seizure, Tory and her friends set out on a mission to find a pirate treasure that they can use to help the institute their parents work which is in a financial crisis. However, little do they know, they aren’t the only ones looking for the gold.

Shift (2013)

In her direct-to-digital short story, Kathy Reichs joins Tory and Temparance together in one plot. Namely, Temperance is coming to Loggerhead Island to solve a case, while Tory and her three friends and dog Cooper are trying to figure it out from another angle.

Code (2013)

In Code, Tory and her gang are up against the Grandmaster. A mysterious figure who’s leaving geocache boxes across the island with messages. Nevertheless, it doesn’t take long before their little game turns dark, as the Grandmaster reveals that they must find a box with a bomb before it goes off and kills thousands.

Swipe (2013)

In another direct-to-digital short story, Swipe, Tory and her friends join up with Tempe at the Comic Con in San Diego. However, after someone steals one of her exhibits, they must team up once more to find the perpetrator.

Exposure (2014)

Exposure starts not long after Code. In the book, the Virals start looking for two of their classmates who’ve gone missing. Yet, things get worse as Ella, Tory’s best female friend disappears too. All the while she and Ben start getting closer and closer.

Shock (2015)

Shock is a short story prequel about Tory and her friends. It follows Tory as she comes to Lowcountry and meets her dad for the first time, as well as her first interaction with Ben, Hiram, and Shelton on the beach as they save an injured turtle.

Terminal (2015)

In Terminal, Tory Brennan and her gang are up against another group of virals who’ve been infected by a supervirus created by none other than Tory’s archenemy Chance Clayborne. Of course, her enemy is at times her crush, too, making things even more complicated.

Spike (2016)

Spike tells the story of Tory and Temperance Brennan joining forces once again as they face a saboteur who’s looking to ruin Kit and Whitney’s wedding day.

Trace Evidence (2016)

Trace Evidence is a collection of all four Tory Brennan short stories, including Shock, Shift, Swipe, and Spike.
