"Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today."Sir Richard Branson
I joined MeWe after the election as a Facebook Refugee. I’m a fiction author and invested a lot of money in FB ads to promote my books. While I gained followers, sales were just okay. I still have my FB Author account but deleted my personal account because of FBs lack of privacy practices. I created a new personal MeWe account. Most of my family and friends have stayed with FB. Unfortunately, the ick factor on MeWe is the same as any social media site, single men sending me contact requests. Geez, people, got to Tinder, creeps! There’s a learning curve to weeding this type of thing out, but so far I enjoy the newsfeed and groups I’ve joined. I paid for the membership but learning a whole new platform is confusing for someone my age. I noticed on this blog you have icons in the left sidebar linking to FB, Twitter, Pinterest, IN and Instagram but not to your MeWe page. Is there a reason for that? I was hoping to add a MeWe share link to my author website but haven’t figured out how to do it. Can you help with that or is it even possible? Thank you for your insight into the platform and keeping your review up to date. I look forward to your answer.
MeWe began in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as a vision hatched over a dinner between good friends who were early founders of social media. With Facebook all the rage, they felt something critically human was getting lost: the spirit of our democracy and the backbone of our privacy. The big technology companies, you know who they are, had reverted to treating us as commodities. They somehow mistook people signing up to use their services as a welcome invitation to target, track, spy, and sell our information to advertisers and the government. All in all, it felt pretty creepy. MeWe founder, Mark Weinstein, dreamed of the next generation in online communications, envisioning a social and chat app that would give people everywhere the most exciting and helpful sharing technology with privacy built into the design - where members would feel safe and respected. Mark relocated to Mountain View, California, in the backyard of technology’s established Goliaths, and built a worldwide team of visionary individuals - fun, good people determined to revolutionize social media and build a new platform to go head-to-head with Facebook and restore decency, privacy, and respect for social media users. Mark created the Sgrouples beta project, hiring an engineering team to design and build the world’s first social network with privacy-by-design for its members. The 3-year Sgrouples beta project served as the testing platform for the launch of MeWe. Making its official launch during SXSW 2016 (South by Southwest), MeWe was honored as the 2016 Start-Up of the Year Finalist for “Innovative World Technology.” World-renowned thought leaders proudly serve on MeWe’s Advisory Board, including the inventor of the World Wide Web, Sir Tim Berners-Lee. MeWe is the visionary culmination of years of determined efforts, research, and development to provide people around the world with a communication network they love and trust.
Saves Tons Of Time For My Team & My Clients Overall: Pastel's team is extremely responsive. Our clients jumped on Pastel immediately when we sent them the tool. No downloads, no installations. Other tools confused our clients with trying to download and install the program. You just jump on Pastel and start clicking - and it starts working. Saves our team probably hundreds of hours of work per month! Pros: I spent weeks looking for the easiest tool that my clients can use to get feedback. Our clients are often in their 50s and 60s, and not super tech savvy. Plus, our clients our business owners, so they have limited time. Ease of use was top priority. After looking at over 10 other options, Pastel was clearly the most simple and easy to use. Cons: The features are pretty limited, but this can be a good thing because we don't want our clients to get overwhelmed. I think a couple extra features such as marking tasks In Progress as well as allowing our clients to see that edits are In Progress would be a huge benefit. Clients get confused on which tasks were done and which are still being worked on, so that leads to a lot of confusion right now.

Pastel is the fastest visual feedback tool specially built for web designers, developers and agencies. All one has to do is type in a website URL and share a link with anyone to invite them to give feedback and comments on various elements of the website. Every such comment is pinned to a specific element and records information such as screen resolution and browser type to solve UI/UX issues faster. Whatever changes are done on the website, Pastel will extract the latest version and will keep everyone in the loop. Pastel makes it quick and simple to review digital work without interruptions. It toggles between commenting and browsing to navigate your website projects. It essentially creates a seamless feedback process from design to the development build. Pastel also enables you to collaborate easily with designers and developers to turn designs into pixel perfect websites. It allows you to get actionable feedback from clients to solve issues swiftly and get faster approvals for projects.
It's stable and reliable. Love how the Premium membership is only advertised once for the day and not constantly. People are afraid that all the conspiracy theorists might be here, but you control what you see, and who sees you, so it's not an issue. Needs lots more users. It's a replacement, for me. I sent them a suggestion about making the pages bordless. That little bit of cropping isn't necessary. Only reason I took a star.

Been on the app for a couple of months after dumping FB. Not too bad of an experience. App is fairly polished and runs well on a 2 year old phone. I'm not a big fan of the automatic notifications. You will get pinged every time someone in a group posts, messages, requests a contact, etc. You can shut all of this off however pretty easily. Overall, I'm pleased with the app and I still use just the free version.

Been on Mewe a few days now and I really like it. Using it has a pretty small learning curve because it's a lot like FB without all the ads, personal information theft, and data mining. Something I think that could use improvement is posting articles and stuff from other sites. Seems like a lot of times it just wants to post the link and not a headline or really anything to go with it. Not a dealbreaker though by any means. Great app!

"Pastel is improving faster and faster" Overall: I'm satisfied, Not ecstatic! but satisfied and happy. Pros: The time it takes you to load and then touch up and image file Cons: The amount of options available when finely editing the color

|No ads, tracking, or data mining
|Safe and protected.
|Be wary of chatting with strangers in group chats
|The website is somehow lag and glitchy
|Hard to navigate
|Its really great the way UsePastel works
|Everything is so clear, simples and efficient
|Overall, I have been very pleased and impressed with Pastel
|I use it every day and it has saved me hours on our website revision process
|Overall it is a good accounting and stock package and very easy and straight forward to use.
|The limited function can sometimes become an issue
|Sometimes we get a delay before the clients browser updates but this is just a "in general" problem with developing websites/apps not something entirely specific to pastel
|I was just freestyling my way through the software and that wasn't very conducive because I was dealing with other people's wages as well as my own, there's no room for error when it comes to that.
