PhET provides fun, free, interactive, research-based science and mathematics simulations. We extensively test and evaluate each simulation to ensure educational effectiveness. These tests include student interviews and observation of simulation use in classrooms. The simulations are written in HTML5 (with some legacy simulations in Java or Flash), and can be run online or downloaded to your computer. All simulations are open source (see our source code). Multiple sponsors support the PhET project, enabling these resources to be free to all students and teachers.

Remind is a platform for communication and learning that reaches students and families where they are. Built for education with mobile-first messaging that supports learning wherever it happens, Remind connects the people and resources that help give every student the opportunity to succeed. Remind was founded in 2011 by brothers Brett Kopf and David Kopf. Diagnosed with dyslexia as a child, Brett struggled for years in school. When he met a teacher who built a strong relationship with him and others in his life—both in and outside of the classroom—it transformed the way he approached learning. Brett and David created Remind to make the same experience available to every student.

Sutori (formerly HSTRY) is a web-based tool for creating and sharing interactive timelines and presentations. It was originally geared toward history classes, but it's since been repositioned as a tool to develop interactive stories. The developer's premade stories are mostly traditional timelines (users scroll down to navigate through them like a social media feed or webpage), but the community contributions cover all subject areas and range from presentations of knowledge to organizing daily schedules for classrooms. To get started, teachers can create classes and send students codes to access shared timelines and create their own. A starter template walks users through the creation process, and the timelines are easy to edit and share. There are tons of options for adding content to the timeline (some only by subscription), including text, images, videos, links, quiz questions, and more. The site's free subscription includes basic features for sharing, collaboration, and student management; paid features include more options for embedding content, analyzing student work, and using premade, standards-aligned content and templates.

Numberphile is produced by video journalist Brady Haran. The stars of the show include mathematicians and other guests from around the world. Topics range from the sublime to the ridiculous… from historic discoveries to latest breakthroughs. In addition to hundreds of videos, we also have a podcast featuring longer-form interviews. The project is supported by (and often filmed at) the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute. Support also comes from The Science Sandbox and The Akamai Foundation. And of course our viewers and generous patrons. In addition to our main YouTube channel, extra footage is uploaded to a second channel called Numberphile2. Most of our animations are created by Pete McPartlan and music is composed by Alan Stewart. Our website and captions editor is Caitlin Oddy. Podcast transcripts can be found here.

Teachers can use Quizalize to assign quizzes, worksheets, videos, and web links for students to complete at home in a real-time digital environment not much different than the physical classroom. Assignments can be open for multiple attempts and can be available for specific time frames. Each class has its own Gradebook and quiz questions can be tagged to a curriculum for data to populate Mastery Dashboards for tracking long-term mastery learning. Quizzes can also be assigned with differentiated follow up activities. An entire lesson plan can be digitized and provided to students to complete in their own time. Accounts can be synced with Google Classroom.
