Voice Dream Reader has two main functions: it converts text to speech and it helps writers proofread their work. Voice Dream Reader can read any text aloud in 30 languages and 186 voices, making it ideal for readers who struggle with dyslexia, vision issues, or simply understand better auditorily. To improve comprehension and retention, words are automatically highlighted on the screen. The user can change the font size, color, and spacing, as well as highlight or take notes.
Voice Dream Reader can help writers find the right words by conducting phonetic and meaning searches (“enuf” brings up the word “enough,” and “giant water mammal” brings up “whale”). It generates an outline automatically to assist writers in structuring their documents—reordering sections is as simple as dragging and dropping. Proofreading is as simple as listening. When writers hear their work read aloud, they are more likely to notice grammar mistakes, typos, and awkward wording.
