"Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today."Sir Richard Branson
There are other programs that offer spell check but I enjoy after the deadline simply because of other features such as smart suggestions. At this time I can't find anything that I don't like.
After the Deadline is a web application that provides free grammar and spelling checking services. It is a tool that runs in the cloud and makes use of intelligent open source technology to first identify errors and then provide intelligent recommendations. It also ensures that writers use the appropriate words for their contents by processing paragraphs and sentences in order to determine if the words being used are the words that are meant to be used or if they are some other words. Because of this, there are fewer instances of words being used incorrectly, which results in clearer writing. On top of that, After the Deadline is an application that not only corrects errors, but it also provides explanations for why those errors were made in the first place. This helps writers learn more about proper grammar and language usage. Writers are able to pick up new rules as a result of this, remember them well enough to use them in their subsequent works, and keep them fresh in their minds. The primary advantages of utilizing After the Deadline are that it does not cost anything to do so, it is built on an open source code architecture, and it is an adaptable application, which enables it to be integrated into a wide variety of different platforms and apps. In comparison to the vast majority of language checking tools available on the internet, this application's price point is significantly more reasonable. Users won't have to pay After the Deadline's standard monthly or yearly subscription fees, as is the case with most other applications of its kind. It offers them sophisticated grammar and style checking services at no additional cost. Developers are provided with the opportunity to use the tools by embedding it into whatever application they are developing as a result of the use of an architecture that is based on open source code. They also have the ability to change the rules if they have requirements for their language standards that are more specific. Before making their products available to the general public, companies can use this to ensure that their content is free of grammatical mistakes and, as a result, protect their reputations and avoid any potential embarrassment. Because it is accessible through the web, After the Deadline does not call for any kind of download on the part of its users. It is possible to use the application straight from web browsers such as Firefox, Chrome, and others. Additionally, it is compatible with the OpenOffice productivity suite and can be used with that. Before submitting their work to their instructors, professors, superiors, or anyone else, users are able to check their own contents for any errors that they may have introduced. In addition to this, After the Deadline is compatible with a variety of other applications, such as BuddyPress, Live Writer, Windows Live, and others. Users can feel confident about whatever they are typing because this provides them with an all-encompassing solution for checking their language usage, regardless of the platform they are using. While you are writing on the internet, you can use a cool add-on called After the Deadline to check and correct your spelling and grammar. After the Deadline is a slick Firefox add-on that will help you make sure that there are no errors in the text that you type, regardless of whether you are filling out forms, writing emails, or even just updating your status on Facebook. It has a wide variety of configurable options, including the capability to check a variety of optional grammatical points, such as clichés and biased language. It also has a nice selection of configuration options.
I love that it functions as an add on feature to so many other programs I already use- dropbox, word, etc. I dislike that the professional version is so costly. I think something like this should be more affordable especially for students and young professionals.
Outwrite, formerly known as GradeProof, is a sophisticated spell checker that employs algorithms and machine learning to provide suggestions that will enhance the readability and precision of your writing. The Outwrite for Teams platform is accessible via the internet. Check for grammatical errors in all written correspondence. Put Outwrite to use in all of your company's web copy. Learn about your writing's current metrics like readability and grade level in real time. Outwrite was founded in 2015 by Nick Hough and Craig Sketchley with the intention of enhancing writing by eliminating grammar mistakes and improving flow. Outwrite's over a million users in 211 countries benefit from the app's ability to remind them of and enforce essential grammar rules while they write. Freelance writers, authors, business owners, and webmasters can all benefit from using Outwrite. A useful writing tool will be intuitive to use and will incorporate cutting-edge integration features that let you proofread as you go. Outwrite has a comparable user interface. Go to Outwrite.com, sign up for an account, and then copy and paste your text. Outwrite highlights typos in red, grammar mistakes in green, and issues with style and structure in blue and purple. An Outwrite extension for Google Chrome lets you make changes while you're on sites like Facebook and LinkedIn or composing an email. The accuracy of a writer's work should be your top priority when hiring a writing assistant. Style and legibility are prioritized in the writing. I used Outwrite to proofread this piece I wrote about the top Masterclass programs, and while it caught every single spelling mistake, it also flagged 42 other style errors and 11 grammatical or mechanical problems. When deciding on a writing helper, it's crucial to take cost into account. If you're just starting out as a freelance writer, you should invest in a tool that won't break the bank. The cost of outwrite is reasonable. Outwrite offers a free plan that includes grammar checks. The Pro Plan is available for a monthly fee of $24.95, a quarterly fee of $44.85, or an annual fee of $95.52 and includes the following features: unlimited style updates, 50 monthly plagiarism checks, structural suggestions, and sentence rewriting. You can sign up for Outwrite's free plan and use their grammar checker without spending a dime. The features available in Outwrite are extremely helpful. Some examples are suggested improvements to the writing style, a comprehensive plagiarism checker, and the ability to identify the academic level of a piece of writing. It's important to adapt your writing style for each publication or client you do work for. Writing for a law firm requires a more formal tone and style. If, on the other hand, you're discussing video games in your writing, you should adopt a more relaxed and conversational tone. Outwrite offers helpful suggestions on how to improve your writing style. You can run as many as fifty checks per month on Outwrite's plagiarism checker. While this may not be sufficient for a teacher checking student work for plagiarism, it is more than adequate for most freelancers and small business owners. Outwrite also has a function that can determine the student's grade level. It demonstrates the level of difficulty and readability of your writing, making it more accessible to your intended audience. If, for instance, Outwrite tells you your target audience consists of 11th graders but you're aiming for 8th graders, you'll know you need to simplify your writing.
I like the fact "After the Deadline" is a Cloud Based Software that helps edit doucuments and other writing matertials online. My company creates a lot of content and making sure things are correct before publishing helps out a lot. I love the fact it uses intelligence to figure out a word is the word you meant to use. The software is smarter then the writer at times. I also like the cost of the software pretty afforable.

I can’t recommend After The Deadline as a grammar and spell checker. It works well enough through its website and has a great handle on punctuation and grammar. I think if it were being updated regularly it could be a great way to teach grammar rules to people in many different languages. But there were some serious red flags. They have shady downloads, no plagiarism detector, no mobile app, and the system hasn’t been updated in years. That’s a shame because I genuinely liked using it on the website as an editing tool. The website still exists, but with the WordPress plugin shutting down in May 2019 after eight years of no updates, it’s clear that this is a dead brand that is not actively keeping pace with the grammar checking industry. I’ll stick with my Grammarly account.
