Apache open meeting is a brilliant open source tool for video conferencing and connecting with mentees, conducting interviews etc. The platform offers various features like screen share, recording etc that are necessary for working virtually. Disable of recording is a great feature that helps the host control access to the meeting.

I have a love/hate relationship with Cvent. I've used several other event management tools, and can say that Cvent is the most complete of any I've tried. It is a purpose built software that serves its purpose well. However, it can be difficult to use.

Needing to upload pre-recorded sessions for someone else to process, instead of being able to do that ourselves. Not being able to easily manage attendees in regards to which sessions were "included" vs which they had to pay extra for... especially those that were broken into multiple sessions because of length.
