"Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today."
Sir Richard BransonWe use backlog.com as overall tracking and project management tool for our projects, support tasks and maintenance activities that we provide to our customer. We selected backlog.com after evaluating many other tools (like Jira, Pivotal tracker etc.) and backlog.com became the clear winner. Why ? Because this tool combine together the best features of all other tool while still being neat and straightforward. Backlog.com has been proving it at our daily use for 1 year approximately.

Backlog is the all-in-one online bug tracking tool for task management, version control, and bug tracking. Along with a suite of task management features, such as subtasks, custom statuses and Kanban boards, the platform provides a consistent way for teams to report bugs and manage code repositories. Backlog enables pull requests, merge requests, and branches, and you have the option to use Git or SVN to manage code alongside bug tasks.
I give Roadmunk a five out of five. For more reviews, click here. For roadmapping and product management, it goes hand in hand. And we tried a tool called Aha!, and we also tried a simple tool called Trello. And both of the tools didn't work out for us. Trello was a little bit too simple. We needed something a little bit more powerful to connect to our Jira system, so that we could track projects a bit better. And Aha! was just way too complex. You needed to set up tons and tons of stuff. So on the implementation and on the tracking, and moving roadmap items around was just way too complex for us. Yeah. So we ended up picking Roadmunk, and I've actually used this tool at several different companies now. And, we all love it. It's extremely easy to set up. Any team member from your product group can jump in there, and it's super flexible, drag and drop interface. It's easy to move items around. And what probably was the main reason that I like it in a director role was that you can customize the view of your roadmap for any audience. So, if you're talking to your CEO or C-suite or VPs, you can give a specific view for them. And then you can tweak that view and change it for your development team, or maybe one of your development squads, same thing for your UX group. And so, it's super powerful to kind of slice and dice the different view that you want to give all your different stakeholders. Getting started with Roadmunk was really simple. We just signed up online. We got it in our account. Yeah, essentially, no training was needed. I mean, we followed a couple of their little tutorials to get set up, but essentially, the user interface is so simple that pretty much anyone working in software or development will be able to pick it up really easy. You can also import your items. So if you have a spreadsheet or some other tool that you're tracking already, you can quickly import it. But yeah, extremely easy to set up and get going. So anyone that's looking for a really simple, easy, flexible roadmapping tool, Roadmunk would be my first recommendation. The only thing that I'd caution you on, when thinking about Roadmunk, would be, it's not the best tool for prioritization techniques. So if you want a tool to do both, you could look at something else. But if you're good with your prioritization techniques using a whiteboarding tool or Excel or some other tool, Roadmunk is the perfect thing to fit in, in your product organization.

Roadmunk was inspired by a problem our founders experienced personally: there was no simple way for product managers to build, share and align on the roadmap. As we got to know our users, we discovered that roadmapping is not one-size-fits-all. Companies make roadmaps of all shapes, sizes and types—it’s a powerful and essential tool for alignment. Our goal is to make strategic roadmapping quick, effective and collaborative across an entire organization.
The product is clutter-free and any features that are added have simple use cases and helps in easier implementation. A good user interface to avoid daily hassles involved in bug/defect reporting daily as a tester.

"Roadmunk Review" What do you like best about Roadmunk? Regardless of any business size, it fits well into any Organization's product management. It is a cloud-based product/project management solution. It can make visual road models visible for all staff members. It has readily available preset themes, which saves a lot of time. The interface is relatively smooth. The usual project management requirements, i.e., Sprints, can be maintained. Plus, we also have the option of importing data from Jira. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Roadmunk? It is pretty expensive. However, we get a free 14-day trial of the product. Even though importing data is easy, it is not easy to export the roadmaps. There is also no support for smartphones. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Roadmunk: It is suitable for any business type, whether big or small. If you are part of a product company and need a simple yet effective tool, go for Roadmunk. "One of the best Roadmapping platforms out there" What do you like best about Roadmunk? The best thing about roadmunk is the flexibility it gives you right out of the gate. Many times, there are steep learning curves within platforms like these that are de-motivating. Roadmunk has a variety of features that allow you to tailor your roadmap for any audience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Roadmunk? The only thing I am still learning is how to properly track dependencies from sub-items, but other than that, it is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Roadmunk solving and how is that benefiting you? Stakeholder Management, Prioritization & Alignment across all teams. Much more productive with my time with a tool like this.

My score for Roadmunk is four out of five. For more reviews, click below. Prior to using Roadmunk we, like a lot of people, were using Atlassian's suite of solutions, for Jira, for the entire process of building the roadmap, as well as doing features or setting up features. The big complaint was the complexity and the lack of transparency in trying to find things. There were a lot of features but it wasn't easy to work with, particularly for different roles in the organization. Some people were product owners, some were developers, some were QA, and trying to find the right information was really hard, especially for the roadmap aspect. The group I was in was Product Development, and Product Management, as well as Product Marketing, and we used Roadmunk to build a clearer series of actions that was just easier to use for the teams that were in product development. It synchronized well with everything we needed, and one of its biggest advantages was, it was easy to show others what we were going to do, as well as communicate what our roadmap was using Roadmunk. So it worked very well for the group we were in. We were about 10 people. It was lighter to use, it was easier to set up, and easier to manage for the team that we were in. It became a good way to also exchange information between people that were remote, as well as people who were in the office. We chose Roadmunk for a number of reasons. One of them was ease of use and setting it up. Having a web-enabled tool that was far less onerous to manage and to set up was really, really important for a team that just needed to use the tool and didn't want to be concerned with the back end, and we just didn't need as many features. So it was the right level of technicality or technical feature set that let us use it. And it not being complicated meant people who just started on our project could jump in and use it really quickly. It was also very good to work with a web-based tool that we could set up and use from anywhere. We too got caught by COVID, and we all went back to doing remote. Having a web-based tool, whether you're working on an iPad, whether you're working on an iPhone, whether you're working on an Android device, a laptop, desktop, it really made things easier to set up, to manage, and to communicate across the board. In terms of fees and licensing, it was far, far less expensive, which was important because we are a smaller company, under a hundred people, and budgets for software, particularly SaaS software, mattered a lot. So those are some key reasons why we wanted to do it. And also because we liked a tool that was just easier to use in general for a lot of people whose mother tongue, believe it or not, was not English. Having a simple interface, being able to see things visually, makes a big difference for people who have different backgrounds in being able to manage your process. Using Roadmunk took I would say 15, 20 minutes for us to get up, share it with everyone, and start using it. It's a very straightforward design, and it really does speak to the needs of someone in product development or product marketing to be able to set up those backlogs or things that need to get done. So we needed very little time to use it. It was quite self-explanatory and we set things up the way we wanted to just within our own team. So not a long time. No one needed training. We decided on the labels that we wanted to use ourselves. It was just really easy to add things in and communicate with others when things got added. So we had little or no uptime compared to a lot of the other tools that we had to use. So we were very thankful for that. So if you're looking to get Roadmunk, and you're a cross-functional team, so if you're doing any kind of software development for example, or even I would say marketing for a product marketing as well ... Because when you have cross-functional teams, particularly in IT companies, you're going to have people who do development, who do UX design, who do different aspects of the product development, Roadmunk was great just because it let you see what you needed to get done and who needed to do it. Just the simplicity of setting it up and having the web-based tool made it so much easier. And the fact that it was just a lightweight tool to use. There wasn't an overload of functions, which is probably the most crucial thing. It's just finding what you need to use. So I loved it for the fact that we were a cross-functional team, we were moved about because of the pandemic, that it was light and easy to use. And if you're looking to build a roadmap or if you're looking to build features, it's just the right amount of depth that you need to be able to do it efficiently and not get too deep into the details where you're hunting for things. The way it's laid out on the UI and the UX is very friendly. Very easy to use, and you don't have to dig forever to find stuff. That was really key for us to be able to use it in a quick and easy mode in a cross-functional team with people with different backgrounds as well.
