I discovered Blurt through Makers, I saw the founder building and improving the tool day to day, following advices and feedback. Hope one day it will be as big as Medium because he deserved it!

About Blurt

Blurt An essential human technology is writing. It provides superhuman abilities. It enables us to express our thoughts, understand the world, or find an escape from it. We have the ability to share our ideas at any moment with anyone, anywhere. Our concepts are immortal. For millennials, one person's written words can motivate, fascinate, or enlighten billions of others. Blurt is a tool that will assist you in capturing these ideas, nurturing them, and using them to leave your mark on the world. There are several tools available that let you write. You cannot write using any tools. Blurt steps in to help with it. "Blurt" is a play on the word "blur," which has the meaning of saying something quickly and without giving it much thought, from my previous project BlindWrite. To express yourself, use Blurt. Then make use of its facilities to aid in structuring, editing, and public sharing. Blurt is a place to help you write your best from conception to publishing, not just a place to write. Because I couldn't locate a writing tool with all the capabilities I needed in one location, I created Blurt. I observed that I frequently changed between tools for ideation, feedback gathering, editing, and publication. I want to gather all the necessary items in one spot. Most popular feedback for Merriam Webster Dictionary

The dictionary is good for what it is designed. It provides word pronunciation, part of speech and various definitions and usages. There are various third party uses for dictionaries, but the website doesn't provide any activities or extension. It is a tool to help you understand words and word meanings. Just like any tool, it only works if our students use the tool.

Blurt reviews

I currently use another app that gives me focus on outlining a project and priorities but could see testing Blurt and combining a few writing tasks.

Merriam Webster Dictionary reviews

I downloaded the top few dictionary apps, turned off all wifi/data and launched them all for the first time. This one works offline (even the games; however, the pronunciation audio clips require an online connection), links to synonymous and antonymous words work effortlessly, and the app doesn't require you to register to use it (*ahem oxford*). Overall, I'd say this one is currently miles better than the rest. I will say, the ads popping up every now and then are a bit of a nuisance though.

- Anton Ross

The app once let you speak into the microphone and converted to text for word meaning. No longer it does this. They actually reduce features. I never would believe a reputable company like Webster would resort to what looks like smoke and mirrors. I took out a subscription thinking that the this feature was in the paid version but it was not only a typical feature reduction.

When I press the speaker icon to hear the word being pronounced nothing happens. I have to tap it several times before it eventually works. Maybe it needs time to "warm up" 05/08/22 Now when I press the button to hear the spoken word I get the last part of the word. The first syllable is not heard. I have to hit it 3-4 times before I hear the full word. Sent an email. Let's see if I hear back. Otherwise, I'll just uninstall and find another dictionary.
