Boba is a Spritz-enabled iOS browser and Safari extension that allows you to speed read content articles and content from your favorite websites and blogs. Users can speed read content within Boba, or throw content from Safari through action extensions, with configurable reading speed, allowing users to find a word per minute rate that they find comfortable. Word of warning? Since this is a Spritz app, you'll need to be connected online to speed read.
John CorpuzThe Boba software for Safari browsers and iOS devices is a lightweight and cost-free solution for improving reading speed. It uses the same Spritz technology as a lot of the other apps that have been listed on this page. What does it do? Downloading the iOS app or using the browser extension are the two options available to you if you want to rapidly read digital information on any blog or publishing website. There are no available options that will truly instruct you on how to read more quickly, which is highlighted below. The main purpose is to get you through content quickly. The program is modifiable, so users can select their preferred content sites or alter the number of words spoken each minute to improve their understanding. Boba requires iOS 8.1 or later. Unfortunately, it appears to be one of the many speed reading programs that hasn't been updated in a considerable amount of time. There is a possibility that more recent browser versions or devices will prevent it from functioning properly.
App works better than well I want to say thanks for the app. A few reviewers point out that the Apple Watch auto-off setting interrupts reading. And though at first this was disappointing, I found that by placing my finger on the edge of the screen while using the app the auto-off never triggers. I hope people are aware of this! A simple mod that turned Wear Reader into the app I'd been waiting for. Productivity doubled. Well, best wishes and thanks for this weird fabulous idea. I believe that all mobile reading apps will l be rapid serial within 7 or 8 years and hope you folks get some deserved credit for that.
Dioci2018You can speed read while you're on the go with Wear ReaderTM. You won't ever need to take a book out of your backpack again, whether you're in a bus, train, or subway. You may start reading right away by simply uploading your preferred book from a supported format to your iPhone or Android device and connecting your Apple Watch or Android wear. Wear ReaderTM swiftly displays text on the screen, one word at a time, to quell internal babbling and enable quick reading while maintaining comprehension. Need to go back because you missed a spot? No issue! To fast-forward and rewind, simply swipe up and down on the screen or press the appropriate buttons. To take a break and assess your progress, press once to halt the stream. Tap again to resume. Everything is done by the app. You can read longer without becoming tired because your eyes won't be skipping from word to word. Even a night mode is available on the Android version for reading in the dark late at night.
I enjoy the app. But there are those of us who suffer from tryphophobia, which is the fear of a succession of tiny holes which make your logo for the app. For lack of a better term, disturbing. Idk if it's possible to make it different. To avoid freaking out by accident I have to put it in a folder away from the main screen and click it quickly then distract myself in order to forget I saw it.

1 billion stars if they can figure out how to allow us to read books we have purchased (iBooks) using their app. Why can't we decide how we want to read a book we have purchased? I read all my news, financial, and sports, web pages (and apps) using boba now..

Exactly what I needed. I don't know why more spritz apps don't catch on and run as an extension from the share sheet. This app is truly one of a kind.

If this worked as intended, this app would be amazing. Books on your wrist, everywhere you go! And actually an attractive interface as well. But constant crashes hold it back. I’m trying to reinstall again - I don’t want to give up on it yet! Developer, please fix the reliability.

I had my Apple Watch for about 8 months before finding this app and admittedly I didn't use it much and was a little disappointed I had spent the money on it. However, after finding this app I won't be caught without my watch. I love that I can read anytime I have some down time. Whether I'm waiting in line, riding the subway or taking a break at lunch all I have to do is look at my wrist to catch up on my reading. I prefer to read using the Traditional Method where I manually scroll through "pages" of the book with many words on the screen at one time instead of the speed reading method that shows one word at a time, but I'm sure some people prefer the other method. Definitely worth using this app.
