Most popular feedback for Byword

Byword is comparable to iA Writer and WriteRoom in that they are all lightweight, distraction-free writing apps. However, iA Writer has more features than the others. Byword's strength is its ability to export and publish directly to Blogger, Evernote, Medium, Tumbler, and WordPress. For budget-minded writers who compose reasonably short pieces for the web, it's a fine option. That said, we would like Byword to add a library tool and templates, plus improve its saving options.

I use this app to keep track of important Financial and Personal stuff. I use it to write down practically everything between my Phone and Computer(nice and synced). Edited: It'd really be nice to see the Notepad Lines that show up on the Android version(makes it feel like a true Note"pad"). There is a lack of ability here to have the Dark Theme/Color Theme option on the PC. I'm still disappointed there... Current Version Update: Also, with the Android version there is a built-in Calendar. Where the heck is that here on the Windows version hmmm?

About ColorNote Notepad Notes

One of the many applications that are available on Android for the purpose of taking virtual notes is called ColorNote Notepad. You'll be able to keep track of everything that's important to you by sticking colorful 'post-its' all over your smartphone with the help of this app. The application, despite having a straightforward purpose and a small footprint (less than 1 megabyte), is packed with a significant number of features that set it apart from other products in its particular category. It gives you the ability to make notes in a variety of colors, allowing you to easily distinguish one note from another with just a quick glance. You can do the same thing with any note that you want to keep private by giving it a password. You also have the option to synchronize your notes across multiple devices, allowing you to, for instance, keep the same files on your mobile device and your tablet at the same time. This is yet another interesting feature. Using the 'widget' that comes packaged with the app makes the process very straightforward. Last but not least, ColorNote Notepad enables you to link audio and visual alerts to your notes so that you can set an alert to go off at a particular time of day or day of the week. ColorNote Notepad is an application for taking notes that is as uncomplicated as it is comprehensive. It is both user-friendly and lightweight, while still providing the user with access to any tool they might require.

Byword reviews

I feel iOS version is better than Mac version. Would love to see a safety mechanism from deleting files or folders by accident. As of right now, all you have to do is swipe a file or folder to expose the delete button. One touch and file is gone. I accidentally deleted a file once from grazing the button by accident. There needs to be a pop up menu or something to prevent that. Thanks for listening

Been using the Desktop version for several months now. Really enjoyed writing Rich text based documents on my computer with this app. When I finally bit the bullet and purchased the iOS Version, I unfortunately discovered after the purchase that the iOS version does not support Rich text. That detail was at the very bottom of the description and to be fair I made an assumption that the iOS version of the app would work the same as the desktop version. I can’t understand why rich text is not supported, and if I had known (I guess it’s my bad for not reading every single bit of description all the way to the very bottom) that I would be unable to sync those types of documents across devices, I would’ve gone with a different platform.

Byword is my go-to distraction free writing app on the Mac and I used it on iOS for a while— but unfortunately the slow Dropbox syncing led me to explore other solutions for iOS. It seems like updates this year might have fixed this so hopefully it’s better now. I had Byword configured for a Dropbox folder that I use for journal entries and it has a couple hundred markdown files in it plus two sub folders with some text, markdown and a couple of old rtf (rich text) files in them. When I opened up Byword it would hang on ‘Downloading items’ or ‘Syncing Items’ for minutes and it made me nervous to open recent files and create possible conflicts in my Dropbox. That was a big blocker when I just wanted to open the app and start writing. I recently reinstalled the app and also removed the rtf files from this Dropbox folder (just in case) and things seem to be better— fingers crossed.

ColorNote Notepad Notes reviews

The app has worked great on my Android phones and tablets for several years. Today I installed the app on a Windows 10 Pro PC and it worked fine until I signed in to my account. Now, when I click the icon, the app seems to start and immediately disappears. Uninstall/reinstall does not help. Sending Application Events Log entry to Support via email.

I, like others here, have been using his app on Android for quite a while. I love the ability to password protect notes on android. This version will require a password to access a note protected in Android, but lacks the ability to set a password from this app. I am assuming that the features missing from the android app will be added with future updates. I would like the ability to add attachments to notes in both this app and the Android App. The "Settings" button does NOTHING. It just shows a new window that says "settings" with no further links or functions??? It is still great to sync my Windows 10 2-in-one with my phone. I use this app pretty much on a daily basis.

I have used this app on Android devices for a long time. I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and was pleasantly surprised to see that the app is available there. It is a simple, intuitive interface. I especially like that you can sort your list alphabetically, by color, and by date. It makes it easy to scan for notes as opposed to just entering search criteria as in another app that shall remain nameless.
