Overall my experience is very mixed. I do not feel that we have enough support. I do not appreciate how with the acquisition by Apptus they switched to a very greedy model. I don't like how I cannot ask the SME's/Experts assigned to me for help with the unique conga tools we use, and that they push methods that spend a lot of money- "just buy an annual subscription and we'll build it for you!". No thanks. We are already paying a ton of money for this, why is it so complex to set up!

If you're looking for an end-to-end OCR tool directly from the ingestion until integration with your system I believe Ephesoft Transact is one of the best tools out there in the market. The interface is user friendly and the setup of the tool is easy as non-technical people can use do it as well. OCR quality is good and acceptable with the current market standards.

Our proposal team has been using this tool for almost two years. When the tool was called Tinderbox, we found it to be pretty good with minor functionality issues. Since it became Octiv, we've gotten into the habit of calling customer support 2 - 3 times per month. There seem to be more bugs than before. Asset pages get lost, user privileges get messed-up, and the whole tool seems slower and clunky.
