“Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today.“

First of all, I loved this app. It’s definitely opened up my mind to ideas and I’ve already created a story that I’m very proud of within the first day of having this app. However, I’m a bit confused on how I get my stories posted. I wrote a story for today’s prompt, but the only option it gives me once I was done was to save my draft. It won’t let me click the next button, and I figured it was probably because I had just gotten the premium feature, and in doing so I had written triple the amount of word limit set for non-premium users. That’s honestly a problem in itself, considering I did get premium so it shouldn’t be stopping me from hitting next. Not to mention, when I go to open the draft, it says I’ve passed the word limit and I need to get premium, and when I click get premium, it tells me I already have it. So I’m really just confused as to what I should do, I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong, but whatever it is I’d just like a little clarification. I do like the app though.

Scapple’s aim is to work as a seamless virtual piece of paper on which you can put together aesthetically pleasing mind maps. You can create text, pictures or links anywhere you want on your Scapple page, and lots of tasks can be accomplished with easy-to-remember keyboard shortcuts. Changing up the style of your Scapple notes is also a breeze thanks to a convenient menu that lets you add borders or change text font. Works with different types of content One of Scapple’s most handy elements is its flexible nature when it comes to dealing with pieces of content that haven’t been created within the Scapple interface. To add a text file, picture or PDF(opens in new tab) to your Scapple mind map, all you need to do is drag it over the Scapple window. Once Scapple has imported your file or text, you can resize or move it around as needed. Customize your Scapple page By helping you to represent your ideas in virtual space, Scapple lets you understand them better and share concepts efficiently with others. A big part of this is using formatting options like text size, borders, and shape to show how ideas related to one another. So that you can create an appropriate text style, Scapple offers an easy-to-use stylization menu where you can experiment with different font sizes, add colorful borders, and change text alignment. You can also modify important document properties like the background image and decide whether or not borders should be created by default. Another stylistic feature you’re sure to get a lot of use out of is a shape drawing tool that helps you compartmentalize related notes.
Jacob ParkerThe same firm that made Scrivener, Literature and Latte, also made Scapple. You create your stuff in Scapple, then you compose it in Scrivener. Scapple is a straightforward but practical tool that resembles the mind-mapping method of brainstorming. Here, you should outline your main idea—which is typically broad—and begin tying related concepts to it. In the past, writers would accomplish this on paper and with a pencil. Scapple made the decision to digitize this way of thinking in order to make it simpler, more readily available, and even more effective. The number of possible mind maps in Scapple is infinite. You may infinitely enlarge your "paper" or document by zooming out. Zooming in closer to a section you need Scapple and Scrivener work together seamlessly. To add your mind map to a Scrivener project, you don't even need to export it. You can just drag the mindmap from Scapple into Scrivener if both programs are active. Scapple is your best option if you want to speed up and systematize the idea-generation process.
I haven’t written very many reviews but I had to say this: Daily Prompt is brilliant, motivating, and by far the best creative writing outlet I’ve used! Within a day of downloading it I was cured from an agonizing 3-year writing slump and managed to submit something small that has helped me remember how much I love writing <3 I think the prompts are thought-provoking and engaging. And while I do wish the app had more features, like the chance to view the most liked story by genre or the ability to edit your own story after publishing it, I truly adore this app <3 I’ve been looking forward to utilizing Daily Prompt every day since :D

This app has a LOT of convenient features. It’s very simple to use and understand. The prompts are a lot of fun and you can customize the genre and type of prompts you see. After a week of using the app I found that I was exploring other forms of writing because the prompts would be so interesting. You connect with other writers, which I find to be particularly helpful. You can download your writings very easily. I transfer all of my writings into my files so I have backup. Overall, after using the app consistently, I highly recommend it. It’s not just great for writers, its a great place for readers. There are plenty of short stories from every genre and you can leave feedback and encouragement for the writers. When I’m tired of writing I will spend a while reading work from other writers and leave words of encouragement. The writing competitions push me to try writing in new genres. I find myself on this app for hours some days, writing and browsing. The customer service is great too. I did have issues where it kept asking me to subscribe even-though I was already subscribed. I emailed the developer and they responded quickly and fixed the bug. Now the app runs flawlessly. There are no ads or anything annoying. Once you subscribe you enjoy every feature of the app without any added nuisance or pressure to purchase anything else.

I downloaded Daily Prompt back maybe four weeks ago and had chosen to receive both written and visual prompts. Since then I wanted to change to just receive visuals. I sent an email and within a few hours I received an email back. My preferences were able to be changed and I was made aware of a bug on my account that I hadn’t realized and that was fixed as well! I highly recommend this app. It is fun and creative and easy to use. The prompts are very engaging and have given me many ideas! You’re also cared about and will be helped if and when you need it. It is obvious the founder of Daily Prompt cares about those who use it and that is something you don't see much of anymore. Get this now if you love to write or want to try!

Scapple delivers a simple and very user-friendly mind mapping solution that lets you scribble your thoughts on a virtual notepad whenever you have your musings at three in the morning. It’s like having an epiphany for a character origin story while having a cup of coffee and then writing down your ideas on a sheet of paper, except with Scapple, you jot them down on a digital canvas. With Scapple, you can write down your thoughts and musings and come back at a later time to see how you can bridge one idea to another and make progress. You can organize your thoughts easily and effortlessly, thanks to Scapple’s drag and drop user interface. You have the freedom to work with your ideas and find the links and angles and the approaches that would turn your idea into that award-winning essay or the next chart topper or the future New York Time’s bestselling novel. The best part of Scapple is that you don’t have to worry about losing your ideas. Back in the old days, authors and writers wrote down their thoughts and ideas on a piece of paper that they could lose any time. With Scapple, whenever that figurative lamp lights up above your head, you are able to save that thought and not worry about losing it forever.
