“Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today.“

Dendron has become my goto tool for journalling, structuring thoughts and ideas, planning, recording meetings, running with todo's. The list goes on and increases as the team even come out with new templates to existing entries to entirely new templates that make me think of what I'm not using it for now and then use those new features too. Without the newer features, I would still use Dendron as a place to store thougths in a way that you think rather than a way that you structure databases. This reduces friction and permits you to get the ideas down right away and therefore not to lose them. The only complaint I might have is that I dont yet use it enough. I could be losing 10% of new thoughts and ideas if I dont get to make an entry. I'm working on an app that could be used to update a Dendron Vault but I've no doubt there may be one out there already and if not soon they may be several. Dendron appears to be growing and improving all the time. Any time spent using Dendron is time invested.
Jon BrookesThe tool for taking hierarchical notes that expands with you as you learn more. It makes it simple for you to generate, search, and administer knowledge bases of any size. Built on top of VSCode, Dendron is an open-source, markdown-based, local-first note-taking tool that prioritizes local storage first. Dendron, just like the majority of similar tools, supports all of the typical features that you would anticipate, such as tagging, backlinks, a graph view, split panes, and other similar features. However, this is not the end of the problems; although most tools (attempt to make it) simple to import notes, they typically make it challenging to export them at a later time, and this difficulty only increases as more notes are imported. Dendron is a tool that can assist you in retrieving notes, and it works more effectively the more notes you have.
This app is EXACTLY what I was looking for! I need to draw mind maps for med school, but I’m always limited by the canvas size on all the other note-taking and drawing apps. I really wanted infinite space to flesh out my ideas and just get words on paper without limits and this neat, simple little app lets me do that. I was also pleasantly surprised by the pen flow! Most expensive note-taking and drawing apps don’t have pen flow as smooth as Stretchpaper does, which is impressive given its low price. Three bucks? My daily latte costs more and does way less, delicious as it may be. Thanks to the developers for making a great app!
KiKi TeaStretchpaper is a novel method to sketch diagrams, take notes, and display your creative abilities. With an endless canvas, there is never a shortage of space. Stretchpaper is entertaining and practical. You can modify vectors, define your own pens, export your drawings as pictures or mega-pdfs, and more. Works well on the iPad, but the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil make it much better!
Dendron has given me the opportunity to have a one-stop place for all my notes, random thoughts and project planning right where I feel at home - in VSCode [...] I use Dendron mostly to manage multiple projects to keep track of meeting notes, TODOs, planned features and sharing all of this with my colleagues.

Hierarchies [are] such a game changer. I just couldn't organize myself with a flat structure and ended up spreading notes out. The key thing that changed my perspective was the ease of restructuring hierarchies, it gives you the confidence to just write, safe in the knowledge that you can just restructure it later

I've been using Dendron exclusively for my daily journal and notetaking since last week. Now that I've learned about PARA and figured out the hierarchy that best works for me, I'm absolutely loving it! [...] It took me a couple of days to figure out the best workflow and transfer my past notes, I'm now moving faster and able to create, update, and find notes quickly.

Love this app! Use it when I’m planning out stuff in my business. One drawback for me has been when the file becomes too large it takes a long time to load. Running an iPad Pro so the device shouldn’t be the issue. Still use it, just try not to let the it get too big.

This seemed like a great app purchase, but unfortunately the app itself is a exercise in frustration. While an infinitely scalable sketch pad is an amazing concept— one I desperately need for my iPad Pro— this app misses the mark in several ways. First, it ditches the intuitive control and ease of the Apple Pencil for its own drawing UI and response curve. Second, the scaling is maddeningly frustrating as line thickness is impossible to keep consistent as one must invariably zoom when scrolling around the document. (A Zoom Lock feature would seem like a no brainer) What is more, settings such as line thickness and color are basically random as to whether they will stay applied one you select them. I often found myself switching without warning from a blue line to a green line and back without any logical reason. Third, the individual controls lack harmonious integration with Apple simplicity; while other apps allow for a simple tap on/tap off of individual tools, this app leaves a tools always on unless you specifically select a different tool (and even then that no guarantee the switch will take). Add to all this the lack of an easily accessible user guide, a lack of a straight edge (seriously?) and a steep learning curve I cannot in god conscience recommend this app to anyone. A frustrating waste of $3.

App is amazing. It is straight forward and easy to use. Love the infinite canvas as that is what i was looking for. I found a few other apps that have infinite canvas but they all lack ease of use and simple tasks that are imperative for taking notes. So far great app. SIDE NOTE: I am having an issue with a bug. For some strange reason sometimes the notes shift slightly and what was once fully highlighted in a certain color or pointed to with a line for a label tends to be offset. So in other words something is causing notes/coloring/labels to shift just slightly. This can be annoying and can cause issues especially with labeling and highlighting. Can the developer take a look? From what I can tell, it happens when i reopen notes after some time. I do move the screen a lot using my fingers but apparently haven’t been able to pinpoint it. Please do check this out.
