It was to set up, because it requires no prior coding experience, and it's saved me so much time. Now, I send the link to my web-based "interview" to my clients, and they fill out all the information on their end (which they can do on their phones). There are many customization possibilities, but I set it up so they don't see the final agreement right away. Instead, I get an email with the completed document, which I can review and send back over to them when I'm ready. Really great tool for small businesses who don't want to be bogged down with document generation.

We file several types of documents (accounting, hr,contracts,policies). We use a bar-code coversheet workflow to re-direct the document to the correct workflow for further processing. The coversheet workflow allows us to detect blank pages (one-sided vs double-sided) and not import them. This avoids the questions from people asking /thinking a blank page was not imported correctly.

I have previously had a hard time finding good automation software for my Mac and often had to create a Windows environment in my Mac to be able to run different software. And even those were terrible. But Documate works with Macs and is easier to use than the clunky tools I've used in the past. So much better than HotDocs and Contract Express, and any other Thomson Reuters product for that matter.

Documate is exactly what we've been looking for to streamline our previously inefficient, manual drafting processes. The product is both powerful and intuitive, and the Word plug-in made automating our existing templates a breeze. Their customer service has also been above-and-beyond, and the online documentation is thorough and helpful (including video guides). Overall a useful tool, made by a good company, and at a very reasonable price.

Our client intake which previously took 1hr+ now takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Documents that we previously had to spend time changing pronouns and tenses can now be updated with the click of a button. Nice document management, Can be granular with workflows but there is no documentation on workflow creation. This is probably a push to sell professional services
