"Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today."

Most popular feedback for float

The scheduling, logging and updating features are the ones I use daily and they help me massively with my time management, even more so because I'm working from home. The reports are my favourite feature so far along with updates as my work changes a lot more than what was scheduled.

Most popular feedback for Targetprocess

We are using Targetprocess in our daily Agile practice. Our developers and Product Owners are trained in its use, and it is a huge piece of our practice. The software is key to our Agile efforts, and is relatively easy to set-up and use. However, the buyer should be aware that unless you deploy one of the pre-built frameworks, you will be starting with a clean slate, and will have to build your own structures, and this can take a bit of thought and time. I enjoy using the software, and we intend to renew our license for the next year, and will be making efforts to expand the user base. The ability to define different workflows for different teams is very powerful, as is the Request Portal, and other more DevOps type features. Story card aging is another nice feature that we now implement through custom rules.

I like how easy it is to use, that's the main thing! I have never used it before but within 15 minutes I'd managed to schedule all my projects. I also like the budget tracking element - I have quite a complicated project with a less than 2% tolerance with the budget and Float has been invaluable helping me track that.

Our organization really likes Float as a picture of future bandwidth. Managers appreciate how they can quickly make adjustments to their direct reports' assignments and we have used Float as part of new hire business cases to get a quick visual of bandwidth constraints. Float is very easy to update on the fly as projects change.

- Joseph B. Partner Manager

Float makes tracking time/hours for each project you are assigned to very quick and easy. Each task has its own tab that is very specific to what you are working on.

Targetprocess reviews

Outstanding pricing system, easy to put in place so the implementation/training of expert solutions are class that is first. The application is effective and also works with various methods to Agile/Agile Scrum, and also includes pre built application solutions like sound. Our company was all set up in an extremely short period of time.

TP helped us a lot to manage a complex project that had many teams working in parallel in a large product roadmap. My conclusion was that to be worth the investment the teams should take advantage of all the features and metrics that it can generate. Depending on client's project management in some cases it was not possible to use correctly sprints and generate metrics. In those cases we ended migrating to other tool (such as Trello).

We used JIRA for several years and it's good, but the lack of proper integrated hierarchy means organising 10,000+ items is just impossible. Even 3rd party plugins dont help much. The UI is slow and unattractive and after 6 months trying to get JIRA Porfolio to work (a cool idea!) I could never get it to and the response from Atlassian was disappointing overall.

Pros & cons

float

Pros
The interface has a great overview
Adding projects and tasks is intuitive and the colours make every tasks and project stand out
Logging time is really easy
We were not interested in a "log-per-minute" type of application but rather one where you can just log bigger blocks
Float helped us plan and log our time better. It is the simplest to use, extremely well organised and allows for really effective time management between the creative, editorial and customer service teams. It was fairly easy to keep track of my time once I learned how to use the program.
Cons
Planning a project is not super extensive
Float has some tools but the tools are a bit limited
The time tracking feature is the feature we use the most, it is a shame that is not available separately. At times, it tends to take too long to find available tasks. It wasn't easy to learn how to use the program
It actually took a long time

Targetprocess

Pros
We are also active JIRA users and from the beginning we discovered a much more clean approach with TP, and a much more powerful reporting tools
We have found it very clean and simple in the day by day usage, it has powerful reporting functions that helps to keep track of your progression and global performance between multiple projects
It is really good for people like me who can loose focus of the task at hand sometimes
This will help keep you lined out till the project is done
It's by far one of the best tools in terms of project reporting."
Cons
Available analytics is too limited
We really lack the ability to leave comments on tasks and the number of templates
Some dashboards, graphs, reports are very hard to understand and setup
The UI is slow and unattractive and after 6 months trying to get JIRA Porfolio to work (a cool idea!) I could never get it to and the response from Atlassian was disappointing overall
If I compare the service with Jira, I can find several disadvantages
At TargetProcess, I lack commenting tools, change notifications, process timelines and time management."
