GoToMeeting vs Signal Private Messenger

"GoToMeeting is great for VOIP but not my favorite for video conferencing" What do you like best about GoTo Meeting? The VOIP functionality is fantastic, I love that I'm able to answer my work phone from my cell phone, anywhere. I'm also able to check voicemails when I'm out of the office without having to call a number or anything complex. The app is a great tool.

Reusable meeting rooms maintain your chat messages and shared data, leaving the flow of discussions intact for references. The conferencing quality on GoTo Meeting is nothing short is stellar on any device. You can collaborate on your work with other participants regardless of the device they're on during your video conferences. GoTo Meeting strives to be a seamless platform for collaboration through screen sharing. You can screen share any part of your computer or phone, including specific windows and the whole screen. GoTo Meeting allows you to give keyboard and mouse control to one specific user in the conference during screen sharing. This feature is very helpful during customer service conferences where we can assist them in specific tasks where a verbal explanation is inadequate. GoTo Meeting has excellent integrations with other GoTo applications, allowing you to convert meetings to webinars with ease for broader features and capabilities.

It's one of the most recognizable secure messenger platform out there. Runs smoothly, without any real problems. It's probably doesn't have much in terms of problems due to it's simplicity. There is no video chat or voice chat so there's a lot to be desired if you want more. Telegram or Element, would be better for those seeking more then text communication.

Signal is a great high security messaging tool, everyone should use it. And it's gotten better over time. One small easy way for people to claw back some digital privacy. Capabilities have improved over time. Great app! Awesome to see privacy and security rolled into a single, non-profit messaging app, especially given messaging apps are mostly drop-in replacements for each other. One feature request: the ability to take photos in-app to add to messages (as most messaging apps allow for) rather than having to open up a camera app, take a photo separately, and then append the photo to a message in Signal. Also, the audio on phone calls is frequently quite bad and cuts out... Otherwise, great app!
